call me crazy, but that new golf looks like its gonna be lighter than the current one...veedub shud make a stripped out gti...kinda like the renaultsport cup versions...and take it back to basics. i guarantee they wont be dissappointed with the sales figures
why can't they just call it 'golf' in the USA,too?
It's golf! The legend is called Golf wether you like it or not!
Besides 'rabbit' sounds so stupid for a car! I mean what is that?
'Der neue Volkswagen Hase. Jetzt im Handel'
omg!
and to jacobatyou - It definitely won't look like eos and tiguan, it will look like the new scirocco because that's the new Volkswagen-design-language ..
300K miles$4.gal different mpg you know who you are? 55=$21,818 50=$24K 40=$30k 30=$40K 20=$60K 15=$80K 10=$120K Ask yourself do you have the correct vehicle for the job? Can you freight tools or can your company offer you space on a truck if you request. I ask b/c I see empty pu trucks commuting to work they rarely have anything in the bed pu truck gets 10-25mpg. Hybrid car gets 50 mpg easy it isn't hard to do the math only you can evaluate your ride. These are safe cars why don't you save?
i dont care how many thumbs down u guys give me i know wat i like and its my opinion u guys have opinions right?some people jusr have different taste in cars and my taste is chevy ford and dodge
Its all about power to weight ratio. Its pretty amazing how much different American and Japanese engineering really is. I think with the sky roccketting gas prices, American engineering will go,or will have to go in a totally different direction.
yup, something definately has to change the way americans build cars. sadly, the machoness will suffer regardless. burning rubber is all i know about cars.
Have you even driven a European car? Go test drive a BMW M3 and you'll never want to touch a Chevy again. American cars have fallen far behind the engineering of European and Japanese automakers. By the way, some "American" cars aren't even made in the USA. Toyota probably employs more Americans than GM or Chrysler, considering they both lay off employees on what seems like a weekly basis from plummeting sales.
I know what you mean. Too much of what we think about cars today is based on the reputation of the early 90s. In a 2007 car issue of consumer reports, GM ranked above all imports except Honda in overall reliability. In fact, Toyota and BMW were in the lower range for quality. I would have to say that the 08 Impala is one of the nicest cars I've ever been in (even better than a BMW). I can say the same thing for the Suburban too.

nothing beats the STi's 2.0 turbocharged!
it uses ever drop of gas efficiently enough to kick even a dodge viper's ass.
same can be said about the evo9.
time has come for smaller engines with more horse power and less torque.
