  • will this work on a rev c eMac?

  • @Matthew55904 If you want to do a third gen, then this is my best link:

    applefritter/[DOT]com/node/3902

  • @chance9888 well my rev c eMac is the 1GHz model so it has the same board as the Rev B with the same speed

  • ur video is very educational but it is hard to listen with by the way playing. when you make vids, turn off the music cause it is hard to pay attention to your detailed directions (that i tried and worked really well. thank you)

  • I love the ending casually dropping your soldering iron on the floor and burning the carpet :D hahaha

  • As much as it is important to not touch the CRT components, its also not a great idea to take apart a computer on a static conductor such as a carpet. Great video though.

  • @shawnki91 ahahahaha, thanks. Yeah, i've never thought of that. At the time, i didn't know what an anti-static mat was, but, hey, i appreciate the comment

  • Would the same technique work with a 1.42Ghz eMac? I have one of these and would like to see it run a WEE bit faster.

  • tape your machine screws YEA !!!-111 to the hardware part the scews R removed from

    as chance99888 suggests

    he's greatness !

  • i like the dio playin in the background! lol and nice video!

  • Hey I have a few questions if you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it......I have a 3rd gen eMac with the 1.25 ghz cpu.....Do you know of anyway to overclock the video card or to upgrade it or something? Also What other things can I do to squeeze speed out of it....my iMac recently died so I have to use this..Thanks alot

  • thanks.really appreciate this video

  • I tuched that things that you said that not to tuch and i got like 23124234355345345464535345 wolt in my body but im still alive! lol

  • @pizzasnail98 I'm sorry, but you're clearly retarded.

  • @pizzasnail98 thats not really smart of you, but fine your`re still alive

  • @pizzasnail98 WOLT ?? LOL

  • @pizzasnail98 not so funny pizza nailed 98

    be careful p.snail TV's are a killa

    be SAFEr

  • Are emac's still pretty fast. i want a server mac, and was thinking about a Mac Mini untill i saw the price. oh, and why are macs SOO expensive?

RE THESE MACS RELIABLE, SINCE THEY ARE REALLY OLD NOW?

  • @UncleMarioBoss I'd say an eMac is probably still a pretty reliable server. The only thing is that if you start running applications, then it may get slow. I recommend maxing out the ram and getting a new hard drive. It also depends on what generation eMac you have. I do believe that apple, thought, has figured out that they can run up the bill on customers and people will still pay for it.

  • CRTs are deadly sons of bitches! I'm rather afraid to do work on an emac because of them.

  • Kudos for the Dio Song Rainbow In The Dark playing in the background :P

  • To All Viewers: Has anyone been able to clock a generation 3, yet? I haven't tried, but i have a friend who is interested...

  • mann just straight to the point, no more chit-chat or waring stuff that's wasting a time

  • I've got a 700hz Emac I'm bored with. I might give this over clocking a try. Thanks for the safey tips.

I'm writing a screenplay about an old safe cracker who throws an old Emac into a his ex partners bath tub and shocks to death everybody in the apartment building that is taking a shower or a bath.

    Crazy huh?

  • Hello, sorry for my English.

I have eMac G4 (800MHz) too, and want to know, if logic board for eMac 800MHz = logic board for eMac 1.42GHz. I want to "upgrade" it, but not sure. (:

  • @outatime88mh Good English. I understand it is a complex/complicated language. Please look at this link. Use the table about halfway through the page to change your resistor settings. Your motherboard can support up to 1.4GHz but i recommend to upgrade if you are good at soldiering. If not, I suggest getting a friend who is good at soldiering. Also, consider upgrading the cooling. You can find many mods online about cooling.

  • @chance9888

    Thank you,

Yesterday I saw your video, and today I've done it! Now my eMac have 1GHz (1,07GHz :D ), I hope, than next time I try to OC'd it to 1.2 GHz ( I'm afraid overclock it to 1.33 and 1.42 :DDD)

  • If it freezes up its most likely got the leaking capacitor problem

  • Sorry i dude, i'm not too sure that's legitimate. changing changing your "AboutThisMac.string" is not considered overclocking it

  • nice!
