just ordered the j1 with the 10mm pancake lense.. after watching this im really confused whether i should of bought or not :S wat u think ?

great video!! I have the J1 and love it, but I only have the 10-30mm lens. Do you think I should get the 10mm pancake lens or the 30-110mm one. I really want the larger one for more zoom but I dont want to keep switching such big lenses back and forth. which should I pick cuz there really expensive or should i get both and sell the middle one, Thanks so much

The switch on the battery door is more work than it should be? stupid lazy red wings fan it literally take less than half a second to do that with about as much effort as it takes to kick a red wing fans ass.

Yes, an m43 with bigger sensor.. BUT have you compared the raw files from the J1/V1 an m43 sensor? Except for the higher resolution (that difference is only visible with the 16mp m43 sensor) the dynamic range is alot worse on the m43 sensors, and that LOADS much more important than higher resolution. The Raw files from the Nikon 1 system is actually amazing for its sensor size. You cant get short dof like on the m43, but you do get much better colours and better dynamic range with the Nikon 1.

Already way overpriced - add on a flash and perhaps the GPS unit ( sorry - of course you can't as the Nikon ass shoe only fits ONE item0 and you've got a nasty/ ugly looking camera with limited REAL world specs. Sorry Nikon the 1 series are a HUGE MISTAKE. I look forward to you dumping them - may I suggest series 2 might be a good idea?

Nikon knows their main sale point are with the DLSR lines but the reason they are "following" this trend of mirror less cameras is because most everyone is "doing it". They know they can't truly have a strong lead in the mirror less series, hence "let's jack up the price". There will be some fools or die hard Nikon fans who will chuck up 600-900 dollars to have one of these in their hot little hands.

Great review . Looks like you had a lot of fun making it too. Came to the same conclusion. Far too pricey for the features an quality. Unless you 'need' something small the go get yourself an entry level DSLR.
