@sdlfjlsdkf umm no you don't even have to play in the nba to make the hof because its the basketball hof which includes all international and college play thats why sabonis (european) made it last year when he hardly even played in the nba
@MrFCBayern4Ever1 Ich glaube Dirk hatte schon eine UNmenge an Talent. Wer so spät mit Basketball anfängt braucht unfassbares Talent. Dennoch hat er immer hart an sich gearbeitet.
Dirk could really move back then. See also his dunk over Barkley. Can you imagine if he has this facet back into his game along with what he can already do? He'd be even more lethal than he already is...good god it's scary...lol
notice how he plays his game back then, a back to the basket, aggressive type bigman. but afterwards, Don Nellie trained him to be a pure outside threat. and now he's back to being an inside scorer together with his outside scoring skills. whoa! a great NBA player indeed.
tim duncan = best pf ever. Next is debatable, but Dirk is in that debate. It's just hard to compare him with a traditional PF because he plays so different then any other big man has ever played. Rick Carlisle said it best, he's an absolute original. Nobody of his size has played the way he does, and nobody takes that many off balance shots on purpose. Off one foot fade away jumpshot with the ball behind his head, it's so unique and so effective. an all around original. Ghostface Drillah!
@KnightOnE5Square duncan is a PF and plays the PF position. He has never been a center, nor does he play his roll as a center. He faces the basket when he's making his move on opponents, he drives the lane, and he shoots jumpers anywhere from 17ft. He's a PF, and the best no matter how much I hate to admit it. Can't fucking stand the spurs.
@KnightOnE5Square He's a center of PF. Often he guards the other frontcourt player that hangs by the basket more.. Usually the center. While he is defended by the opposing teams center about 90% of the time.
He's been basically a center since Rasho left back in 05.
Im going to give props to Dirk cause he is an NBA Champion but come on people, lets not get carried away...He doesn't fall in the Top 5 best Power Forwards...Credit where credit it due...
NowitzkiChannel I'm 5 8 and I can do some crazy dunks. Truthfully, anyone can do it, just workout the right way. I personally used the training at (50-inch-vertical[dot]com) but any workout could be followed if you can check they generate results
@Francozilla best international i would say , i am from greece and it was a same to seeing him rape everyone of our team and still cant win in that europian final
@yungyacht Dirk is good but the prb with every team the Heat play is there's only one true scorer. When Wade is off Lebron steps up.. when Bron is off they feed it to Wade.. and I havent even mentioned when Bosch has his glints of superstardom.. Just too much.
@yungyacht the great white hype? are you serious dude? you do realize he averaged 10 points in the 4th quarter alone of the finals right,he even had 10 in the 4th with a 102 degree fever, and a messed up finger, you also realize that whil wade and lebron had a total of 62 points in every 4th quarter in the finals, dirk alone had 63,outscoring both of them on his own, who's hype now? get off his dick hoe
@trueblue724 White people havent been this excited about basketball since larry bird... Dirk makes some unbelievable shots i will never take that away, extremely tough to gaurd.. but he has no other dimensions to his game.. no D, no post moves, no hops, no passing... He's not even in the top 10 of this era.
@yungyacht i understand what your saying, but what you also have to realize is that it's very rare that a player has all of the qualities that you mentioned, dirk may not have D,or passing,or hops,he may not be the most athletic out there, but he has one of the greatest shots there is,and believe it or not but he can drive to the hole,he proved it by doing it against, portland,LA,and OKC,he even did it to miami every so often, and he has the ability to close out games which is VERY important...
@yungyacht if you think dirk has no post game and can't pass then you must not watch basketball at all. if you watch 5 minutes of a Mavs game you see that he works almost exclusively from the post and then everything goes from there. he's also one of the best in the NBA at passing out of double teams and finding open teammates. if you're expecting him to dish out behind the back and no look passes then that's your own fault because he's a 7 foot power forward. he's not steve nash.
@yungyacht and you are legitimately insane if you don't think that Dirk is in the top 10 of this era. he's easily top 40 all time right now, probably top 30, and by the end of his career will probably top 20 and will be in the top 5 scorers in league history. if that isn't top 10 of a single era then I don't know what is.
@lanelewis dirks top 20 rite now man the way he led his team to a champion i mean the team was basically a bunch of old guys way past their prime they do however have a really good coach in rick carlisle and jason terry came up big too but it was basiclly just dirk and he put the icing on his cake
@lanelewis Kobe, Lebron, Wade, KG, DH, Shaq, Duncan, Melo, AI, Pierce.. thats 10 of this era.. Not taking anything away from Dirk but ur going to crown him top 20 of all-time when his career is done. Dont make me start naming names again. I will give him maybe 38 on that list. ok ok 32 tops. He's too one dimensional.. but he is World Champion i cant take that away from that man. He kicked ass up and down that court.
He's one dimensional? How? His defense can improve but beyond that, he's pretty damn well-rounded. No way Carmelo Anthony or even Dwight Howard pass him on the "All-time list" at this rate. Also, as much as I like Iverson, you can make a serious case that Dirk Nowtizki passes him on that list as well. I agree, top 20 is a stretch for him *all time*, but only like five, maybe six guys you listed from this era are better than Dirk and crack the top 20 all-time.
@ChrisnSnoop you make very valid points.. I really cant argue with good sense. but damn its just that they really seem to be crowning this guy like he's the 2nd coming of Nazareth. The words "of all time" are so overused in sports its rediculous.
I love the wire too by the way... crisnsnoop were so cold.
@yungyacht Dirk is higher up in the all time player list AND this era than Pierce, Melo, AI, and DH easily. all AI and Melo have done is put up a ton of points while never accomplishing really anything while both getting traded to other teams in the prime of their careers (AI played for 4 different teams in the past 10 years. that has to count for something). I can DH passing Dirk later in his career but he's got to put some more together and for a longer period of time. pierce is debatable
@yungyacht and I agree that Dirk isnt close to top 20 yet at this point in his career but I think hes proven that hes nowhere close to being done. I think he signs 1 more contract after the remaining 3 years are up on his current one and signs for 3 or 4 years and then retires when that one is up. that would put him at 39 or 40. lets say he averages 1800 points per season until he retires (way less than wht he avgs now) and that puts him around 35K career points (3rd all time) that's top 20 easy
@yungyacht stop giving black people a bad name idiot.. ive watched him play all my life and i've always thought he was better than what people gave him credit for
@slatz20 HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH nice joke, look hiw hard the defense is in the NBA, how hard, aggressiv and ahtletic the defense is. Im boring about FIBA Baskebtall, everything is a whistle, fucking lows are playing there. The TOP 10 of the year form FIBA is not as good as the daily top10 of the NBA. Im watching quit often greek and spain teams and its so bad compare to the NBA
@slatz20 If you are basing it off of this video then you are a fucking moron. THIS IS THE ROOKIE/SOPHOMORE GAME. It's not a serious game, the players in it don't play defense and just try to make big impressive plays.

Dirk went to the basket his first 4 or 5 years. 82 games is a long grind. Good players find a way to prolong their careers and manage seasons. I think thats why you dont see Dirk driving in to traffic on a consistant basis after he became a vet.
im not too acknowledged with basketball, but as far as i know, nowitzki was a small forward in his early days. explains a bit why he was faster than he is now.
Robert "the tractor" Trailor's name will live on... cause of this horrible trade. Don Nelson was a genius a long time ago, and knew Dirk was a balla. Tractor sold me a jeep the other day. For real.
NowitzkiChannel, unbelievable this is beast. this is directly from a 5 6 PG who can dunk with EASE. I followed the training program at 50inch vertical[dot]com and increased over 14 ins on my vertical.
Hey,I mean there's going to be some interesting trades coming up. Rumors about parker for cp3(Which I hope doesn't happen)
I see Nowitzki retiring with the Mavs. He's like a Duncan(yes, 2 completely diff players) But, Dallas loves Nowitzki and is a reason why people go and see the Mavs.
I personelly thing dirk is the best pf to play the game but nobody see's dirk staying with the mavs after this next season, unlike many star players he really wants a ring. He can still opt out of his contract and hasnt agreed to stay with dallas even though they owe him 21 million if he comes back. Could you imagine if he left and went and played with lebron which is what i honeslty feel he wanting to do.

Dirk doesn't have to win a championship to prove how great he is,
he's already shown that you can be a great player with out a championship
he will be in the hall of fame before you know it.

One of the all time greats who will never win a title

im not too acknowledged with basketball, but as far as i know, nowitzki was a small forward in his early days. explains a bit why he was faster than he is now.
staxstix 1 year ago
In that all-star game, Jason Williams did his famous behind the back elbow pass. He should have passed it to Dirk instead of LaFrentz

SIHELL 2 years ago
I personelly thing dirk is the best pf to play the game but nobody see's dirk staying with the mavs after this next season, unlike many star players he really wants a ring. He can still opt out of his contract and hasnt agreed to stay with dallas even though they owe him 21 million if he comes back. Could you imagine if he left and went and played with lebron which is what i honeslty feel he wanting to do.
Kdaddy61987 1 year ago
if dirk still had this speed today with the skills he has now, he would be the best player in the league hahaha (maybe)
dubblej23 2 years ago 5
@dubblej23 I agree.. but he's only a little slower because he's added a lot of beef to bang with guys in the league.
