  • haha white men can jump

  • If he goes to HOF, is he the first European to ever enter?? just curious

  • @sdlfjlsdkf Sergei Belov from soviet union was inducted 1992

  • One of the best players to ever play in the NBA. i cant wait to see him back in shape this season and see how far he can take the mavericks.

  • @3oKingz Stimmt.

  • @3oKingz HarD !

  • actually he sucked in his rookie year

  • Dirk could really move back then. See also his dunk over Barkley. Can you imagine if he has this facet back into his game along with what he can already do? He'd be even more lethal than he already is...good god it's scary...lol

  • and they say bargnani is more athletic than dirk ever was? ive never seen bargs move like that

  • lebron traveled

  • notice how he plays his game back then, a back to the basket, aggressive type bigman. but afterwards, Don Nellie trained him to be a pure outside threat. and now he's back to being an inside scorer together with his outside scoring skills. whoa! a great NBA player indeed.

  • Great athlete

  • lol didnt even take a shot, how did he develop such a nice shot?

  • i agree with DCfan

    one word,SWEEP

  • NOt even a Jumpshot D:

  • cheapazz dude

  • Kobe Better!!! 5 rings nuff said!!

  • @Freestylez100 Sweep! nuff said!

  • @DCfan971 That's they first title tho' It would take them a life time to catch the Lakers not to mention the Celtics.

  • tim duncan = best pf ever. Next is debatable, but Dirk is in that debate. It's just hard to compare him with a traditional PF because he plays so different then any other big man has ever played. Rick Carlisle said it best, he's an absolute original. Nobody of his size has played the way he does, and nobody takes that many off balance shots on purpose. Off one foot fade away jumpshot with the ball behind his head, it's so unique and so effective. an all around original. Ghostface Drillah!

  • @timeub32100 Tim Duncan = C

  • @KnightOnE5Square duncan is a PF and plays the PF position. He has never been a center, nor does he play his roll as a center. He faces the basket when he's making his move on opponents, he drives the lane, and he shoots jumpers anywhere from 17ft. He's a PF, and the best no matter how much I hate to admit it. Can't fucking stand the spurs.

  • @KnightOnE5Square He's a center of PF. Often he guards the other frontcourt player that hangs by the basket more.. Usually the center. While he is defended by the opposing teams center about 90% of the time.

He's been basically a center since Rasho left back in 05.

  • Im a fan of Dirk.. I jus dont know with this man, he is an aimbot when in comes to shooting. lol

  • HOF Alert

  • When you can see DICK, he's a HANDFUL. LOL! :D

  • 3 people thought the dislike button was dis-i-like ;)

  • i think its halarious when people say he isnt white?? like wtf, you cant get any whiter than german

  • dirk > kobe

    dirk > lebron

    dirk > every nba player

my fav team isnt the mavericks though

    GO WARRIORS!

  • @Nattyloc707 u apparently dont know about basketball

  • @Nattyloc707 u apparently dont know about basketball

  • dirk noquitzki :D

  • Im going to give props to Dirk cause he is an NBA Champion but come on people, lets not get carried away...He doesn't fall in the Top 5 best Power Forwards...Credit where credit it due...

  • @marquiss1 duncan,rodman,malone,garnet,nowitzki....not in that order

  • DAM he was pretty fast when he was young =O

  • Greatest ever from Europe but we'll never know how good Drazen Petrovic would have been. Sad that.

  • @unak78 - or Sabonis in his prime.

  • "DIRK DUNK DIRK DUNK

    DIRK DUNK DIRK NOWITSKI!!!!"

-his name is dirk by flula

  • Wow, he did way more dunks those days...

  • NowitzkiChannel I'm 5 8 and I can do some crazy dunks. Truthfully, anyone can do it, just workout the right way. I personally used the training at (50-inch-vertical[dot]com) but any workout could be followed if you can check they generate results

  • Dirk noWETski

  • Damn Dirk, and to think I almost broke my ceiling fan when dallas traded away Tractor traylor.

  • I would love to see this whole game

  • It's been a while since I've seen Dirk run the floor and throw down like that!

    >D

  • go dirk! btw those 3 dislike this video.. well we can guess that's lebron/wade/bosh >_>

  • this guy will never lead a team to the title...

  • @thetruthis9 say what.

  • @thetruthis9 lol were you hibernating? this guy just led the mavericks to win the 2011 championships..

  • whats funny 12 years later they are still saying the same stuff......WITNESS GREATNESS

  • "Well you can see dick... he's a handful"

  • He's NO longer the "Great White Hope (or Hype)"...

He's NO longer the "Next Larry Bird"...

He's now a CHAMPION (or a Great White Champ)...

    He's simply Dirk Nowitzki...

    BEST ever from Germany...

Possibly the BEST ever from Europe...

and one of the GREATEST ever to play in the NBA!!

  • @Francozilla The best eu is arguable, but He is most def the best ever from Germany.

  • @Francozilla Well Said!!!!

  • @Francozilla best international i would say , i am from greece and it was a same to seeing him rape everyone of our team and still cant win in that europian final

  • @Francozilla he is the best european player ever...no doubt.

  • @Francozilla not possibly... definitely

  • Dang he was actually pretty fast

  • Dirk was much quicker and a better defender back then...but good god, he's come a LONG way since then.

  • He can't move like that no more

  • wow he had some sppeed then

  • Comment removed

  • 0:33 Well you can see Dick, hes a handful. LOL

  • CHAMPIONSSSS!!!!!!!

  • It's all about da Sauerkraut ba-by !

  • Damn if the bucks would of kept dirk we would have been 2001 nba champs! But i hate the bucks.

  • Milwaukee's biggest draft pick that got away.

  • Milwaukee's biggest draft pick that got away.

  • WINNING!!!!

  • dirk

  • FINALS MVP, NBA CHAMPION! Nuff said

  • Lol its weird seeing Dirk move so fast

  • @yungyacht series 3-2 mavs and lebron has stepped up at all

  • dirk is best player in the world at the moment, hes like machine.

  • they need to stop comparing every tall european to this guy..hes a legend!!

  • BEST EVER

  • the bucks will kick themselves forever.

  • @mohsin12 they'll only kick themselves if he wins a championship this year

  • @xHibachi24x dont worry he wont win a championship this year.

  • @yungyacht you may be right. Lebron and Wade are just too much for Mavs.

  • @yungyacht Dirk is good but the prb with every team the Heat play is there's only one true scorer. When Wade is off Lebron steps up.. when Bron is off they feed it to Wade.. and I havent even mentioned when Bosch has his glints of superstardom.. Just too much.

  • @yungyacht fukkin idiot not to much for DIRK jerk

  • @209purplebannana24 keep sukkiin off the great white hype.

  • @yungyacht the great white hype? are you serious dude? you do realize he averaged 10 points in the 4th quarter alone of the finals right,he even had 10 in the 4th with a 102 degree fever, and a messed up finger, you also realize that whil wade and lebron had a total of 62 points in every 4th quarter in the finals, dirk alone had 63,outscoring both of them on his own, who's hype now? get off his dick hoe

  • @trueblue724 White people havent been this excited about basketball since larry bird... Dirk makes some unbelievable shots i will never take that away, extremely tough to gaurd.. but he has no other dimensions to his game.. no D, no post moves, no hops, no passing... He's not even in the top 10 of this era.

  • @yungyacht i understand what your saying, but what you also have to realize is that it's very rare that a player has all of the qualities that you mentioned, dirk may not have D,or passing,or hops,he may not be the most athletic out there, but he has one of the greatest shots there is,and believe it or not but he can drive to the hole,he proved it by doing it against, portland,LA,and OKC,he even did it to miami every so often, and he has the ability to close out games which is VERY important...

  • @yungyacht if you think dirk has no post game and can't pass then you must not watch basketball at all. if you watch 5 minutes of a Mavs game you see that he works almost exclusively from the post and then everything goes from there. he's also one of the best in the NBA at passing out of double teams and finding open teammates. if you're expecting him to dish out behind the back and no look passes then that's your own fault because he's a 7 foot power forward. he's not steve nash.

  • @yungyacht and you are legitimately insane if you don't think that Dirk is in the top 10 of this era. he's easily top 40 all time right now, probably top 30, and by the end of his career will probably top 20 and will be in the top 5 scorers in league history. if that isn't top 10 of a single era then I don't know what is.

  • @lanelewis dirks top 20 rite now man the way he led his team to a champion i mean the team was basically a bunch of old guys way past their prime they do however have a really good coach in rick carlisle and jason terry came up big too but it was basiclly just dirk and he put the icing on his cake

  • @lanelewis Kobe, Lebron, Wade, KG, DH, Shaq, Duncan, Melo, AI, Pierce.. thats 10 of this era.. Not taking anything away from Dirk but ur going to crown him top 20 of all-time when his career is done. Dont make me start naming names again. I will give him maybe 38 on that list. ok ok 32 tops. He's too one dimensional.. but he is World Champion i cant take that away from that man. He kicked ass up and down that court.

  • @yungyacht

He's one dimensional? How? His defense can improve but beyond that, he's pretty damn well-rounded. No way Carmelo Anthony or even Dwight Howard pass him on the "All-time list" at this rate. Also, as much as I like Iverson, you can make a serious case that Dirk Nowtizki passes him on that list as well. I agree, top 20 is a stretch for him *all time*, but only like five, maybe six guys you listed from this era are better than Dirk and crack the top 20 all-time.

  • @ChrisnSnoop you make very valid points.. I really cant argue with good sense. but damn its just that they really seem to be crowning this guy like he's the 2nd coming of Nazareth. The words "of all time" are so overused in sports its rediculous.

I love the wire too by the way... crisnsnoop were so cold.

  • @yungyacht no offence but if your seriously putting melo and AI in the top 10 then i have no choice but to just NOT take you seriously...

  • @yungyacht oh adn dwight howard too??? come on man...

  • @yungyacht Dirk is higher up in the all time player list AND this era than Pierce, Melo, AI, and DH easily. all AI and Melo have done is put up a ton of points while never accomplishing really anything while both getting traded to other teams in the prime of their careers (AI played for 4 different teams in the past 10 years. that has to count for something). I can DH passing Dirk later in his career but he's got to put some more together and for a longer period of time. pierce is debatable

  • @yungyacht and I agree that Dirk isnt close to top 20 yet at this point in his career but I think hes proven that hes nowhere close to being done. I think he signs 1 more contract after the remaining 3 years are up on his current one and signs for 3 or 4 years and then retires when that one is up. that would put him at 39 or 40. lets say he averages 1800 points per season until he retires (way less than wht he avgs now) and that puts him around 35K career points (3rd all time) that's top 20 easy

  • @yungyacht stop giving black people a bad name idiot.. ive watched him play all my life and i've always thought he was better than what people gave him credit for

  • @yungyacht Lol looks like LeBron was off wayy to much in the finals huh? Mavs all the way!

  • @yungyacht haha

  • @mohsin12 you got that... **wiping egg off face**

  • Did I just see TODD MACULLOCH

???? In an all star game?

  • @slatz20 are you serious! don't fuck with me...dirk can settle down in any basketball league! you probably mean, europe can't handle dirk!

    :)x

  • The NBA has no fucking clue about defense. Nowitzki would have no chance in Europe.

  • @slatz20 HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH nice joke, look hiw hard the defense is in the NBA, how hard, aggressiv and ahtletic the defense is. Im boring about FIBA Baskebtall, everything is a whistle, fucking lows are playing there. The TOP 10 of the year form FIBA is not as good as the daily top10 of the NBA. Im watching quit often greek and spain teams and its so bad compare to the NBA

  • @slatz20

Get the fuck out of here Europe leagues are made up of a bunch of harry vaginas! NBA would destroy them.

  • @slatz20 If you are basing it off of this video then you are a fucking moron. THIS IS THE ROOKIE/SOPHOMORE GAME. It's not a serious game, the players in it don't play defense and just try to make big impressive plays.

  • Is that Paul Pierce at 0:06?

  • Never knew Dirk ever exploded that quick. So used to his controlled dribbles with jumpers

  • Man....Dirk could move back then

  • Dirk Nomisski

  • @budabely Dirk NoWhiskey

  • @budabely Yep he misses a lot. Especially from the free-throw line. stfu unless you want to start making sense

  • @IWHBYF you are a complete retard i said nomisski

  • was dirk the rookie of the year that year?

  • @32CyrusthevirusAggie hell no. I wasn't so good his rookie year.

  • @SkippyChurch Who was?

  • See how FAST he was then!

  • andrea bargnani is the next dirk nowitzki

  • @tabbaci thanks for that, I needed a good laugh.

  • @tabbaci

    hhahahahaha nice dream

  • He was a lot quicker and more explosive back then. He really moved like a sf.

  • Dirk went to the basket his first 4 or 5 years. 82 games is a long grind. Good players find a way to prolong their careers and manage seasons. I think thats why you dont see Dirk driving in to traffic on a consistant basis after he became a vet.

  • Ich liebe dich Dirk!!

  • which years was this?

  • @TehAlex2310 2000 - his second year in the nba

  • Now you can see dick he's a hand full!

  • Dirk doesn't have to win a championship to prove how great he is,

he's already shown that you can be a great player with out a championship

he will be in the hall of fame before you know it.

  • One of the all time greats who will never win a title

  • @mrluv7 WRONG!!!

  • Be nice if he went to the basket like this in real games...

  • im not too acknowledged with basketball, but as far as i know, nowitzki was a small forward in his early days. explains a bit why he was faster than he is now.

  • In that all-star game, Jason Williams did his famous behind the back elbow pass. He should have passed it to Dirk instead of LaFrentz

  • if you consider hes a 7 footer...hes pulling out some moves in this vid, its just sick

  • and thats why u dont fuck with DIRK!!!!!

  • Dirk Definitely doesn't dunk like that anymore. Future Hall of Famer

  • Wow, look how physical he was..

  • @tehjoemastah and that's when they called him soft lol

  • No jump shot ?

  • Robert "the tractor" Trailor's name will live on... cause of this horrible trade. Don Nelson was a genius a long time ago, and knew Dirk was a balla. Tractor sold me a jeep the other day. For real.

  • Dirki from Germany.

haha,I think he's one of the best shooter international,4real.

  • he was quiet faster in his young years

  • funny how all he did in this game was dunks and layups and now all he does is shoot fade aways lol

  • Who ever filmed this suk his *****

  • @TheGrabbass this was in the days of VHS

  • He looks like Bobby Fischer here lol

  • he looks more agile here. i think he settles for jump shots to much now, not like its a bad thing cuz hes a hella good shooter for his size.

  • Dirk looks very very young here, actually like every second guy in germany haha^^

  • And with the #1 pick in the NBA Draft the Clippers select.....

    Michael Olowokandi....good job guys!

  • DIRK is in our DALLAS MAVERICKS HEART FOREVER MAN!

  • in the vid the graphic says all star 2000 he was in his second year not a rookie..

  • Hey,I mean there's going to be some interesting trades coming up. Rumors about parker for cp3(Which I hope doesn't happen)

I see Nowitzki retiring with the Mavs. He's like a Duncan(yes, 2 completely diff players) But, Dallas loves Nowitzki and is a reason why people go and see the Mavs.

  • I personelly thing dirk is the best pf to play the game but nobody see's dirk staying with the mavs after this next season, unlike many star players he really wants a ring. He can still opt out of his contract and hasnt agreed to stay with dallas even though they owe him 21 million if he comes back. Could you imagine if he left and went and played with lebron which is what i honeslty feel he wanting to do.

  • if dirk still had this speed today with the skills he has now, he would be the best player in the league hahaha (maybe)

  • @dubblej23 I agree.. but he's only a little slower because he's added a lot of beef to bang with guys in the league.

  • played like andrea now

  • and after seeing this game, the milwaukee bucks deeply regretted trading dirk for robert the tractor trailor.

  • @am1llion2juan And the mavs regret trading steve nash they would of beat miami heat if they didn't got outcoached and had steve

  • @am1llion2juan R.I.P tractor trailer

  • @am1llion2juan RIP robert traylor.

  • damn... why cant he do that now?
