I dont get it...none of the cooks where laughing. Why? Arent they happy that the wedding is going on and the food is going well? Or had one the cooks a secret relationshipt with the woman who got married?
@Shovelware not sure if you have had exposure to Indian culture, people are very cautious of the social standing and it is common for people serving and cooking to be serious and not interact too much with the guests. They are there to do a job. This is a cultural thing hard to describe but your observation is a good one.
I love Indian fabrics! You look very nice. When I went to India in 2005 my husband took me to a shop with wall to wall fabric and they custom made me a suit. I told him if we ever win the lottery I'm flying a private jet over there and I'm bringing back a plane full of fabric.
@jdolani funny plane full of fabrics - It is amazing how the shop keepers pile fabric in front of you one after the other. The most funny part is at the Sari shops. The Sales Man ( usually they are men) they drape themselves in Saris and try to be a model. What is so impressive is that they make it look so easy. It is fun watching them
Salam Sheba! You looked stunning in the party outfit :) And thanks for taking us along with you on this fancy wedding. Ibet the food was as good as it looked. Do you think you can re-create some of the dishes you ate for us subbies? That would really be helpful. Enjoy your vacation!
I LOVE this video! I love the fact you used the opportunity of a wedding to create a mini documentary to show and describe so clearly the food served in a wedding, which is one of the most important facets of an indian wedding! Your energy and your efforts are much appreciated!
