His contribution to wrestling is often overlooked because he was a British wrestler in a predominantly American sport. But its because he was from another country that meant he had to try so much harder. He accomplished more than people give him credit for. Us Brits haven't really had anyone to cheer in wrestling since and he is sadly missed. Thanks for the memories, Davey Boy.

best thing i like about wrestling when i was a child..is was they were people i wanted to be when i grow up i looked up to them and wanted to be them they were like hero's i watch it now and laugh...and some times mock them...but theres a child in me that will always respect them because they gave me good child hood memories..fiday late nights staying up just to watch wrestling = good times..thank you wrestling for the good times r.i.p to all wrestlers who passed away and sacrificed for us

Very sad how his life ended, another wrestling tragedy...I remember watching him when he first came to Canada in the early 80's, he must have only weighed 170 lbs, but Davey and Dynamite changed wrestling forever with their dedication to the fans...miss ya Davey, thanks for the memories.

I was thinking his addictions came from an injury he sustained in the ring in the late nineties. I am not discounting his possible use of performance enhancements but his injury from a trap door in the ring that he was slammed on in a match in WCW. I'm not sure but I think that is what led to his eventual addiction to pain killers. No matter I've heard he was a class act out of the ring. May his spirit live through his son.

I miss Davey so much. I miss Owen so much. And I miss Bret so much. They were without any doubt the best wrestlers of all time. Not only in the ring but also as persons.
