It's not about choosing which day you can worship or pray. Yes! You should worship and pray everyday! But the Sabbath was set apart and sanctified by God as a DAY of REST. No work. No shopping. Maybe it could be spoken out as a strong recommendation. I myself try to keep the Sabath Day holy by avoiding to buy things and by doing something spiritual on that day.

Of course you should praise and worship God everyday! But the 7th day is what was sanctified (set apart) by God. Greetings! It is exciting to be living in the last days to see bible prophecy happening before our very eyes. Most people have not studied the Word of God with the directing of the Holy Spirit. God says in Is: 66:22, 23 that we will continue to KEEP the (7th day SABBATH) in the new earth made new! So if there are those who continue to reject the WORD of GOD, then they would reject keeping the NEW SABBATH in the new earth to come.

We here in the US also have Sunday laws on the books; over 30 states of the union have Sunday laws. These laws do not need to be passed, just ENFORCED. Isn't it interesting that there is such agitation now over assigning a day to "get back to God"? This agitation will only grow more urgent.

I won't worship on Sunday ever. I'm sorry but I do not see Biblical basis for it. Call by whatever name you want to. I can read Matthew 5 and I can read Revelation 22:14 (KJV) and Revelation 12:17. Just honestly at the risk of blasphemy I'll take the testimony of Jesus over all of the books Paul wrote though I understand that no one is saved by works. @patienceprence God may have worshipped every day while he was creating the world, but he only rested on one day. And since he is God he probably didn't need the rest. What you said is a twisting of words to back up an every day is the same position. I do not believe that the fourth commandment written in stone with God's finger is not part of the new covenant. You might be able to worship every day, but to rest every day likely means you might not get paid...depending on what your job is.

@patienceprence Okay. Because I can read about how the day was changed from saturday to sunday and what religions worshipped on sunday in the past. Because I know the history of the stigma against Jews and how some didn't want to be seen as Judaizing. I do think that worship and prayer on the seventh day of the week is somehow more special because to keep the seventh day shows that you are doing what God would have you to do when it doesn't make human sense to do so.
@patienceprence I've thought about that, but you have to realize for the last 9 years I did whatever I wanted and I made fun of them. Maybe even more than that. I won't be attending SDA church on Sabbath partially because it does not coincide with my schedule. I did keep last Sabbath though and I feel that it is a good thing. I'd rather be safe. Do I know for sure that what I believe is right? I would call my beliefs about the Sabbath and the 10 commandments likely to be true.

From what I've read I definitely want to be keeping Sabbath on Saturday as I would say what I am reading in the four gospels should be my goal with Jesus as my example. So I wouldn't be keeping it in the way of a Pharisee. If I didn't grow up SDA would I see the Sabbath as important? I don't know. Maybe not. I'm happy to do all I suspect. Safety is the best policy.

I am part German heritage wise, I would totally protest this if I lived in Germany. I think it's stupid. Why are they closing businesses down on Sundays and then Churches. It may be what God wanted, but it worries me. What if they do shut down churches and stuff. The day got moved up on because Jesus said so to begin with. Then the Catholic Church moved it for Pagans wanting to join.

It's not about choosing which day you can worship or pray. Yes! You should worship and pray everyday! But the Sabbath was set apart and sanctified by God as a DAY of REST. No work. No shopping. No activities that are not God-centered. It's 24 hours of God-centered time. It's how the Sabbath was supposed to be spent. To be in tune with God and creation. I can't think of a more beautiful thing.

The LORD Jesus does not force Himself or His ways upon anyone. Rather, He leaves it up to us, it is all voluntary. Jesus says "If you love Me, keep My commandments." John 14:15 They are His commandments, but we all have a choice to make. He wants us to rely on His grace for our strength, because of our own power we can do nothing. God bless.

@Nirky That's where "Roman Xtianity" differs from Jesus. They say we have no power over our actions and that is why they refuse to be held to the law. Jesus says we have power to uphold the laws of God and uses himself as an example. He fulfilled the law rather than "going through the motions" like the Temple priesthood did in order to make money. Of course you should praise and worship God everyday! But the 7th day is what was sanctified (set apart) by God. It's 24 hours (sundown Fri to sundown Sat) of our week to be God Centered and to celebrate Creation which is why He rested on that day. He hallowed it at the time of creation before the Ten Commandments came into the picture. LIke I said, not rocket science. It's All Over the Bible!

Worshipping Jesus on Sunday is not the mark of the beast as many claim. The Bible says to pray without ceasing... does that mean to cease praying on Sunday? Something to think about.

We here in the US also have Sunday laws on the books; over 30 states of the union have Sunday laws. These laws do not need to be passed, just ENFORCED. Isn't it interesting that there is such agitation now over assigning a day to "get back to God"? This agitation will only grow more urgent.

A church will be a church is what I am getting. But I know nothing of EGW, and I dont care. She's still not my God, and her words cant save my soul. I understand where your coming from, because to be honest, I dont know which church is a true church. I am still learning, and trying to understand since Ive been with the SDA since I was 13. I just know that the commandments will stand forever. That is what i go by in His Holy Word, that includes the Sabbath.

Christians should be united not divided. The SDA divides and says they are the only true church. I was taught that everyone except the SDA is going to hell. This is a lie. The reason I dont go to church on sunday is because all thru Friday and Saturday night, party party, clubbing, and do ungodly things and on sunday it hallelujah!!! Yeah, the church I was in was full of hypocrites and liars to fault. Even the deacons and Pastor stole money from the treasury. So yeah, thats why I dont go on sunday

Doctors, who molest their daughters, liars, cheaters, fornicators, and guess what? They show up on Saturday and say they keep all the commandments and keep the Sabbath. (Ex 20:8) I don't want to get into a Saturday vs Sunday debate with my fellow Christians, however, I don't believe that you have to be a Bible scholar to figure this one out. Im SDA and I am studying on the mark of the beast. I have for several months now, and I find new things every time about it. The Mark of the beast doesnt mean Sunday. It is the mark that you have earned for disobeying God (willingly ignorant). This doesnt mean people that doesnt know of God's Holy Word.

I won't worship on Sunday ever. I'm sorry but I do not see Biblical basis for it. Call by whatever name you want to. I can read Matthew 5 and I can read Revelation 22:14 (KJV) and Revelation 12:17. Just honestly at the risk of blasphemy I'll take the testimony of Jesus over all of the books Paul wrote though I understand that no one is saved by works. Oh and by the way, this issue is worth more to me than any possessions I own or my life.

@patienceprence God may have worshipped every day while he was creating the world, but he only rested on one day. And since he is God he probably didn't need the rest. What you said is a twisting of words to back up an every day is the same position. I do not believe that the fourth commandment written in stone with God's finger is not part of the new covenant. You might be able to worship every day, but to rest every day likely means you might not get paid...depending on what your job is.

@patienceprence Okay. Because I can read about how the day was changed from saturday to sunday and what religions worshipped on sunday in the past. Because I know the history of the stigma against Jews and how some didn't want to be seen as Judaizing. I do think that worship and prayer on the seventh day of the week is somehow more special because to keep the seventh day shows that you are doing what God would have you to do when it doesn't make human sense to do so.

@patienceprence I've thought about that, but you have to realize for the last 9 years I did whatever I wanted and I made fun of them. Maybe even more than that. I won't be attending SDA church on Sabbath partially because it does not coincide with my schedule. I did keep last Sabbath though and I feel that it is a good thing. I'd rather be safe. Do I know for sure that what I believe is right? I would call my beliefs about the Sabbath and the 10 commandments likely to be true.

From what I've read I definitely want to be keeping Sabbath on Saturday as I would say what I am reading in the four gospels should be my goal with Jesus as my example. So I wouldn't be keeping it in the way of a Pharisee. If I didn't grow up SDA would I see the Sabbath as important? I don't know. Maybe not. I'm happy to do all I suspect. Safety is the best policy.

You however know better. You know what the ten commandments say esp the 4th commandment. Work six days and rest on the seventh day because God rested on the seventh day of creation.

When the Sunday law is global, enforced by law, it will be the mark of the beast. Beast= kingdom, Daniel 7:23. When you study the beasts in Daniel, or the statue, we learn that the 4th is Rome, where Catholicism came from. The mark of their (the beast) authority, is Sunday worship. clear warning there is many more.. jsut read revelation .. that has every refrence to the day being paramount to salvation

if this were the case then why does the bible clearly warn against worshiping on sunday in revelation - according to revelation you are either lost or saved according to which day you worship on

Dan 7:25 says there would be an attempt on changing God's laws and times. Speaking of the third angels message it says here are the people of God who keep the commandments, etc. If God's people are keeping the commandments and receive the seal of God what are those who receive the mark of the beast doing?
