  • The very best thing we can possibly do with people who have Autism is to put a bullet through their head and call it a day. We need to exterminate aspies. Only normal people deserve to live.

  • @LycanthropicAsshole are you god? what gives you the right to choice who gets to choice and who gets to life? it's the people that don;t know about anything that always say the stupid SHIT.

  • @LycanthropicAsshole ARE YOU GOD? and what gives you the right to choice gets to life and who dies? see it's always the stupid onces that don;t know shit about something but yet want say stupid shit.

  • I never knew the need to touch at night was related to autism. My little guy insisted on touching from the day he was born. Because we'd lost a nephew to SIDS, and I read "THE BOOKS" (rolling eyes), that stressed not letting your baby cuddle constantly or they would demand it always (stupid advice), I actually moved away from him a bit when he was sleeping with me in the hospital bed. Even less than 24 hours old he moved closer. We worked hard to get him into his own bed at 3.

  • You and your husband deserve Heaven as for now you have an Angel.

  • Look at the regression - its the Vaccines !!! 15 months + and then at 4 y/o school vaccines. Look up the einstein sign language. You will have so much less problems with signing. Children get frustrated with not being able to communicate because autistic children are so so smart. I know this from working with autistic children. You are great parents - keep up the great work. xxx

  • Your son is precious and very special like you. I am the father of an autistic son and he is very special to us too! Thank you for sharing your beautiful video.

  • This Video is really good :)

  • @Cosmos8373 um, im autistic and in my family (25 in all) i have the least amount of illnesses (headaches, colds, etc. included) nor is my gut leaky (anyone who has that wouldnt be able to live, for poisening themselves, where the fuck did you get this from?)

furthermore, autism lies purely in the social sector, if what you claim was true, most autistics would be retarded, the opposite is true however: most autistics have above average to high IQs

  • @Cosmos8373 do you know even the first thing about autism?

let answer that for you: if you would, you wouldnt suggest mcarthys book, shes an utter moron, without the first clue about autism

the only way to help an autistic is by loving them and being there when they need you

the mercury is also a complete lie, dont know where you got it from, but its definetly not from credible research

  • @gamiezion im sorry but how could you say that mercury is a complete lie? there has been links to it.. and you cant say that it comes from genetics. i know that the doctor/scientiest do not know what is the cause of autism.. but i do think that thats its something that we are doing today more.. we all had genetics back then so why is autism rising today? it could be the mercury but we dont know yet.

  • i know mercury isnt the cause, because theres only 1 paper suggesting the link and the scientist who wrote it is now being sued.

youre right in saying there isnt a definet link to genetics either, but from what im told its the best bet, especially as parents with autism usually have autistic children, whereas its rarer amongst non autistic people.

it is now on the rise because the diagnostics have changed and expanded, people who used to classed as retarded are now classed as autistic.

  • my son is now 7 and the only issue with him is speech. he started talking when he was three in short sentencesand has eye contact. at 4 everything what he has learned was lost. he does not speak although he can sometimes convey what he wants through gestures. he goes to special school till this time. he is on a gf/cf diet and supplements. still, he goes to his speech therapist everyday and little by little, he is talking but not yet in long sentences. hes eye contact is back. Were happy!

  • how sweet he is!!!

  • What causes autism?

  • autism is put down to genes, allthough the exact gene hasnt been determined yet

what happens to the mom and foetus during pregnancy may have some incfluence as well, but for as far as i know theres no evidence for that

  • I love the video!

  • My 8 year old. for the the first time, told me I was a good dad last week. Of course he doesnt feel that way now, but a single admission of that in 9 years is something I'll take. He's a good kid too, just does behaviors that are unproductive and disturbing, he can't help it. There will be progress for him, he will have a future. that is what me must remember.

    thanks for your video.

  • He's a beautiful boy. Things will be well. I'm keeping him and your family in my prayers.

  • Great video! I volunteer with autistic children and teenagers. They don't have a disability, they have an ABILITY to see things in a different light, bring hope and love to people, and are truly a blessing from God. By the way, what song is this?

  • it is a dixie chicks song.. lullaby I think.

  • Maybe you said this in an old comment...what kind of treatment did your child receive besides OT?

  • Ryan gets OT<PT<ST, and ABA therapy...

  • instead of kiss each other ass go and do something chelate and stop going to the MD is a health hazard!!! yes I tell it how it is so you can wake up and see the real movie; you Americans are destined to extinct cause you are supporting the system that is laughing at you and best makeing you ill!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know, it is really interesting what you just said, where do you live? I am from Mexico and when i moved here to the US 5 years ago i just was amazed at how many kids are sick, i mean specially kids, it is like every kid has allergies and other diseases, i mean it is cleaner here than it is in Mexico so why can that be? Simple, all the chemicals in the food and water they consume, plus all the drugs they receive from doctors, i too lost faith in conventional medicine after researching this.

  • After my son was harmed by vaccines, i started researching, and every single change i have made in his diet has helped a lot to his daily improvements. My son used to get sick regularly, and now he is not anymore, but i have also banned even the not so innocent cold syrups and fever medicines, and i give him supplements to reinforce his immune system, if he gets a cold i treat it with natural supplements, they work so much better and don't have any awful side effects like conventional do.

  • HendrixMom thank you so much for replying, i been quickly reading up everything i can as i have some concern about my son.

I have read some where that Gluten Restricted Diets Help, did you try it, any impact?

Also i was told that Coriander/Cilantro helps with getting heavy metals out of the system.

I am very glad your son is doing better, good luck with further improvements, please keep us posted.

  • I did try the Gluten free diet and it did help, right now i am letting him eat gluten containing food but very reduced, i also kept him sugar free for a couple months, right now he consumes but is very reduce, also i did the milk/dairy free for 2 months, right now he consumes very little, all that helped a lot, i also gave him fluconazole for yeast overgrown, i banned yeast containing foods for a couple months too and that helped a lot. Cilantro is very good for the stomach, cont...

  • My son consumes cilantro only blended with avocado, water & salt (guacamole), and even though it is a chelator i would suggest you also use other things to help chelate, I strongly recommend you reading the article i gave you the link for, as it is very interesting and very informative, i am about to try those new products on him and will let you know how it went, the best thing you can do is keep trying with all natural things, research super foods naturalnews . com is a great site to start at

  • The GFCF diet only helps problems in the digestive tract, it doesn't help neurological activity.

  • Nope, you are wrong. Gut/Brain psychology is nothing new. Do the research and don't point people away from gfcf diet. It was HUGE for my son and gave us our life back.

  • Keep in mind that as a person matures, autistic symptoms decrease in severity. As I have said, the diet cleans out the intestines. Autism never takes lives, it simply offers another life to people who are willing to accept it. By the way, I have done my research as I have taken psychology. Give your son wheat and diary products and there will be no dramatic effect.

  • Are you kidding me? I HAVE given my son wheat with a HORRIBLE response. I almost didn't want the diet to work, but it did. We had been trying to potty train him for over a year, but finally stopped. On day 2 of the diet, he potty trained himself with no prompting at all. The dr told me he didn't need the diet and stupid me gave him gluten again....he began peeing all over himself with no control. Took gluten back out and he was peeing in the potty. Simple as that.

  • Many autistic children do not require the diet. "he began peeing all over himself with no control. Took gluten back out and he was peeing in the potty. Simple as that. " That is not evidence that the diet worked. If you son is a toddler, it is normal for him to soil or wet himself while toilet training. Take a parenting class.

  • Umm...I don't need a parenting class. I have 2 chilren, was a social worker for almost 4 yrs. and hold a Bachelor's Degree. My point was that we weren't even actively trying to train him. On day 2, he just spontaneously started going. I found puddles of pee next to all our toilets and he had NEVER done this before. MANY MANY parents report that removing gluten/casein resulted in them finally "feeling" their body. These foods are like 'opiates" to kids. My nephew almost died & didn't even feel it

  • Then you should start training him because he's showing signs of maturing. As a child matures, autisitic symptoms decrease in severity.

As I have said; bowl issues can be treated with the diet. Give an autistic child who doesn't have bowl issues gluten and casein and they will have little, if any reaction.

  • Also, FYI...Gluten causes inflammation in the body. Many ASD kids have horrible digestive tracks. Gluten is like the worst thing a child with a leaky gut can consume. Causes sensory problems and the inability to properly feel your body, etc. My child's tantrums reduced by 75% in 2 wks and the noises he used to make were reduced unimaginably. It sucks he has to be on this diet, but his happiness depends on it. He has had 2 major gluten infractions and his therapists couln't even work with him.

  • Leaky gut is a bowl problem, that might be why the diet works on your son. Keep in mind that it is only natural for children to soil or wet themselves when they are toilet training. His happiness is not dependent on the diet. Autistic symptoms reduce as a child matures.

  • I was re-reading this as i received an email for some reply i got recently. And after reading your comment again i was wondering how your son is doing. My son is doing great, after a whole year of biomedical treatment he now talks and communicates, and he seems to progress everyday, and like, faster than at the beggining. It is a slow process but we must not give up. If I go back to december 2007 and compare to now, the difference is HUGE.

  • You might want to look up the Autism Intervention Research Trust. It is a British non-profit research organization that aims to find which alternative therapies work and which ones are pure snake oil.

  • That has got to be the most hateful ignorant comment I have ever read. Do you even know a thing about ASDs?

Autism is a huge spectrum of issues that sometimes have similar symptoms but not necessarily similar causes.

No parent, especially this mom who is sharing her life and son with us should be called stupid or be in any way responsible for other parents being called stupid just because you think that you have found this wonder cure which by the way can be very dangerous (chelation).

  • Well that was pretty harsh.. i dont vaccinate.. so yea not the problem here.. so go away...

  • so if you did not vaccinated and your baby still authistic it means the mercury came from your silver feelings; it happend to me since my mom was full of them when she was pregnant

  • its a great video!

  • Hi, your son is an angel....can you contact me with some more info...like when did he start to speak? My grand daughter loves trains...yet when one goes by, she screams and holds her ears, she is 2 1/2 and she only says maybe 10 words..most of it is Kirston speak, so it's family who understands...

she also refuses to give up her bottle, diapers, or sleeping litterly having to touch the person she is sleeping with. Screaming fits and meltdowns...she goes for testing soon

  • perfect song, pefect child

  • He is absolutely beautiful! So many of the things you wrote remind me of my son(almost 3). He still has to go to sleep touching someone and the no fear, of course. Beautiful video, seems like you are doing great with him.

  • Great video. Your son is beautiful! You are not alone!

  • Nice video proves that autism can be seen from birth sometimes.

  • Yes it does.. we Knew that he was different from the momemnt we had him.. he is still an joy to be around and a fantastic child...

    thanks

  • Your son is beautiful, his eyes are so pure. My daughter has Autism. She is higher functioning more towards Aspergers side of the spectrum. When she was little she did some Autistic traits, like toe walking and flapping. Her speech was delayed. She is completely addicted to books, we can't leave the house without about 10 of them. Her bed is full of books, purses, dolls, toys and pens(yes she steals all the pens). These children are so special and precious. May God bless them all!

  • Have you tried seeing a DAN! Doctor? Just wondering, my son is speech delayed and has some autism signs, about a week ago i read about the controversies with the vaccines and mercury, so I took my son with a DAN doctor last wednesday and we are starting him on a diet and doing a heavy metals test, if you are interested i can let you know how it goes... Your boy is gorgeous by the way, i love his hair and eyes.

  • Please, what did test say? Did the diet help?

I need some answerers and hope....

  • To: Hendrixmom

Please, what did test say? Did the diet help?

I need some answerers and hope....

  • The test we did 4 months ago indicated that my son had about 6 different heavy metals that were off the chart, he had mercury, lead, arsenic, tin and other 2 that i cant remember the names, he was specially toxic in lead, having 15 times more lead than the average which is because he is retaining metals, he cannot excrete them, me and my doctor believe it is because of the vaccines. So we put him on a strict diet for about 2 months and we started oral chelation, with DMSA.

  • Cont..

Also i am giving him special nutrients like cod liver oil and super nuthera multi vitamins from kirkman labs. He has done remarkable improvements in these 4 months, we are still chelating him and i just can't tell you how grateful i am that i came across with my DAN doctor. Right now I found a very interesting site that recommends more natural suplements to give to autistic children to help them recover, i will buy those this month to see if they help with his autism.

  • Cont...

In case you are interested this is the link to the article i'm talking about, i have sent a copy to my doctor and he and i are excited to try these products, even though my son is progressing already i just have the need to keep trying more things, like i banned fluoride for him, which is helping him a lot, there are a lot of things i am doing on my own that are helping, he definitely is not the same kid from 4 months ago, he plays and is more social now and speaks.

  • Of course he lost 2 years of his life and is trying to get caught up, but at least he is improving he also seems happier and eats a lot better, anyways here is the website, please do not hesitate to ask any questions i am always happy to help.

  • ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have 2 sons with autism, my youngest Drew still needs to feel someone next to him- he just turned 7. Exceptional job with the video- definitely in my favorites! Best of luck with your little angel.

  • what a great video, my son too has autsim and went almost everything your did and he is 6 now, his speech has come a along way thanks to brilliant teachers at his school, which like your sons is also an all autistic school.

    we live in the uk.

  • just beautiful.. thanks for sharing. can you give me the name of the song and artist. thanks

  • It is called lullaby by the dixie chicks...

  • He is just beautiful. We have two boys on the spectrum; our youngest is about the same age as your son. He is finally saying "I love you" too. Music to our ears.... God bless your family.

  • All the best to Ryan. I worked with over 600 people on the spectrum in my work as autism consultant and there is no 'true' face of autism as they are all so diverse. All communicate in some ways (however functionally non-verbal this may often be), albeit often not in conventional ways. :-) Donna Williams *)

  • He is such a sweet little man. My son has no fear, I have yet to hear the famous words, "I love You". Your vid touched me so much. My Jacob will be 6 in January and was Diagnosed on July 7, 2006. The Dr. told us that he had to older sisters doing things for him that is why he was behind. that did not explain the melt downs. I know and feel your everyday. God Bless the Ones he gave us. Thank You

  • yes, lots of LOVE and PATIENCE. (thats exactly what I was thinking.) Love is the answer. Love is the way!

I'm glad you found the perfect interventions for Ryan. Love and Light. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.

  • Lots of love and patience and a ton of good therapy. We also use the PECS and social stories.. He is an amazing little boy who does sunch wonderful things every day...

  • Ryan is gorgeous. Love his curly locks. Autism is a blessing in disguise. What do you attribute his progress to? I bet he changed you and your family members in leaps and bounds. I have been in this field for over 17 years, and I never get tired of hearing the success stories. Yes, I realize we have to appreciate the baby step. Its all a journey.

    Blessings,

    Gahana

    ps..nice song choice.

  • Lots of love and patience and a ton of good therapy. We also use the PECS and social stories.. He is an amazing little boy who does sunch wonderful things every day...

  • Beautiful Boy!!! It touched me when he was not with the other boys at the game, but I too have a spectrum of autism and love to work with those with disibilites and help them reach their potential bc I was not diagnosed until age 22 and went all though out school having it.

  • he is so adorable. i loved the long hair! he is beautiful. God bless

  • I love your beautiful video, i watch it all the time, my son is two and was diagonsed in march officially and I related to a lot of your video. The background song is gorgeous and I would love it if you could tell me who the singer is? Thank you for sharing all your beautiful moments and all the best!

  • The dixie chicks sing the song. It is called lullaby.

Thank you for watching my video ... good luck with your son.

  • What a cutie. I think our sons were seperated at birth! My christine had more of a delay with walking, but he's 3 and still sleeps with us or rather ON us!!

  • I loved this!

Alot of Ryans behavior much like that of my sons!

No fear, hi pain tolerance, needed to be with me to sleep, sensory issues with food/limited in choices! VERY limited eye contact, difficulty with language/concepts. He has been in therapy for 1.5 yeas old, done tremendous, but still struggles with these issues.

Good luck with your beautiful boy!

    Peace!

  • i was born march 15 aswell.

  • What a cute little guy!....My daughter is non verbal and I wait for the day to hear her Mommy

    and I love you.

Thank you for showing us Ryans story.
