  • @TheDregz They are from a place called the Isle of Man

  • @chossy4

.... which is an island in between England and Ireland. It is not part of the United Kingdom but it is in Great Britain. It is independent and has the oldest democracy in the world. It is not in the European Union. The island breeds people like Back Door Slam and The Bee Gees.

  • to bad they have split up....................

  • I'm Your great fan Back Door Slam!

Why did you use 2 mics at same time in this video?? I saw sth like that on ol' Muddy Waters vids and can't figure out why it's made this way. ?

  • @BluesHarry reverbs and echo i believe.

  • @thelloyd89 That and easy voice doubling

  • Isle of man bands = class !!!

  • nice to see the younger people carrying on the blues. less is more and proof there is hope for the future. I am indeed impressed.

  • They have split up now im from the isle of man

  • @gunsaremything that blows.

they really clicked. you could tell.

  • @gunsaremything

No, they haven't split up, Davy has found new members and is now on his way to super-stardom, touring with some of the world's greatest blues greats. Davy is still here, and he won't let his friends down, watch. The old band will be back if they want to back, Davy will help them! That's the kind of guy he is!

  • @TheDregz Funny how i saw davy solo not to long ago with a blues legend and only a backup band. I think your living in a dream world mate.

  • I have Davy's first gigging guitar. It's pretty sweet :)

  • I have Davy's first gigging guitar. It's pretty sweet :)

  • This guys fucking rock, i just hope to dont catch up with them in 3 years more and see another mtv emo sell out bunch of fucks

so keep it real guys !

  • Cool tune but what I really appreciated was how well it was produced. They really kept things simple and didn't get in the song's way at all.

  • we need more music from this band. the whole world needs more of their music.

  • Very nice - sweet - I could've sworn I heard some notes of "Pride and Joy" (Stevie Ray Vaughn) in there!

  • caraca!!mmostros mesmo!

  • sick band! looooooove the song!

  • you guys got the sound...keep rockin'!

  • these guys are too young to be this good!

  • The Singer / Guitarist is touring with the Rhytrm Devils, a Greadful Dead Tribute Band. I highly recommend seeing them. Davy and the band are Awesome!!!

  • I miss Adam and Ross ;( They used to be like kids on tour for the first time, it was such a treat to watch them play and have fun. Now davy's turned into a solo professional. It's like the end of an era :(

  • Just discovered these boys, how great to see such talent. lead singer reminds me of Jonny Lang (same deal -young but mature voice and guitar playing). how refreshing!

  • Great sound! Would like to hear more.

  • excellent, pleasure to listen to, ear candy!!!

  • This song rocks!

  • get it davy

  • Simply freakin' amazing !

  • IT OFFICIAL! The UK is the birthing place for amazing music!!!

  • @maddywoo13 That's not necessarily true Rock and Roll started in the United States.

  • @DavidKinner I know, David but have you noticed that so many good artist come out of the UK? I haven't found one yet that i disliked.

  • @maddywoo13 I have I personally think other than like 2 or 3 songs Oasis really sucks and Liam Gallagher is extremely full of himself.

  • I met you guys! In Artscape in Baltimore, MD! So cool (:

  • the vocals are like a fuller version of Clapton's voice

  • wooo their from the isle of man!!! if no 1 know where that is look it up its amazing!!! butttt avoid foxdale... lool (only people from their would understand)

    BUT THEY FUCKEN ROCCK

  • 1:43 they fucking misspelled Stevie Ray VaugHAN!

  • No . Isle of Man

  • @crice6505 They're from the other side of the pond

  • just seen davy on the BBC breakfast show, what a nice bloke. On my way to the shop to check out his cd.

  • Why the hell haven't I heard of them yet? That's awesome!

  • Love the SRV comments.. these guys are gonna keep the blues progressing into the future...long live the blues!

  • @Todd325e

Nope, not anymore. They split up. Someone forgot to tell them that when you catch lightning in a bottle you don't fuck with it, because you'll most likely never do it again. They were positioned to make a big mark on the music world, but they broke up the band so instead we're gonna have to endure another decade of garbage music.

  • this guys so good that ppl cant even tab his solos lol they can tab say the beginin and then leav comments like only davy can play the solo soz haha class

  • the bassist somehow looks like a girl XD

  • @RipcordRuthie your an asshole.....Although that might be passing judgement.

  • Great Album!

  • I worked backstage at a festival he was playing at. All I got to say is wow! Afterward, I got to talk to him andthe band let me take a picture with them! That was cool. Then Ronnie Baker Brooks came on and it was off to another great show!

  • brilliant to think that a couple of years ago i played on the same stage as davy...in a crap band and i was dissappointed after and he picked up my guitar and played it and went about telling me the history and Adam played my bass while waiting for the bus home...awesome guys!

  • I love it!

  • My Dads been playing guitar for 35 years and if it wasn't for his great job I have no doubt he'd be playing with the likes of Clapton. He showed me this band and he turned to me and goes "There is hope for your generation.. These guys fucking ROCK" His tone reminds us of SRV!!!

  • I've heard that this song is a cover, but I know it isn't. My question is, what song does it sound like? It's right on the tip of tongue, and it sounds so similar to something else, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

  • Neither can I. The riffs at 1:58 remind me of an older bluesman's style, but I can't place it. Parts of vocals remind me of Clapton, but...

  • sort of reminds me of stray cat strut

  • Peter Frampton produced the new Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam CD "Coming Up For Air". Knowles, from Isle of Man is now touring the US promoting the new CD. "There is enough swagger, anguish and fiery chops in this Peter Frampton-produced set to qualify 22-year-old British guitarist Knowles for mainstream blues-rock cred." (USA Today review of 'Coming Up For Air') For more information see: davyknowlesdotcom

  • Saw them open for Chickenfoot too..(Thanks Guys for turning me onto this band! ) awesome talent..can't get enuff of them..I know both of their cd's will be added to my library:-)

  • A message from Davy Knowles:

"To clear up any confusion, this is not the end of the road for any of us...whilst Adam & Ross are pursuing their own music careers outside this band, I can confirm I will be continuing as Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam. I am currently writing and preparing songs for the follow up to Roll Away, and I will be touring later in the year to support its release. Can't wait for that, & I look forward to seeing you out there on the road! More news soon, Cheers, Davy :) "

  • These dudes kick ass.

  • BRILLIANT and from the best island ever (isle of man)

  • F in sweet.

  • I found it! I knew this sounded familiar...It's a proxy of "Route 66". I'll bet anything they had that tune in their head when they wrote this song. Sounds amazing, BDS just got a new fan :D

  • Lose a few bars of respect since they flipped off Stevie, but still some of the greatest stuff I've heard. Renewed my hope that there's still some good music around today... *from 14 year old kid*

  • he was using his pointer fingers

  • The other members aren't too shabby either aheh.
