- This airplane have parachute system? Have certification for make IFR flight and night flight? Between this aircraft and Cirrus SR22, why choise this airplane? Only by price? Many thanks for your atention. Best Regards
I'm very impressed by this video. Looks like a lot of work. I also am a diamond flyer, but this video really gave me the bug to go fly... To bad winter in my home town (Cleveland) sucks for VFR! haha
I've been up in the aircraft from the video. It was a flight that I'm not likely to forget. We took it out to the gliderport out by Starbuck. It was really something to see the glass panel in action during the flight out and back.
Very nicely done video.. I fly a G1000 equipment DA40 myself out of KAPA in Denver, Colorado here in the states. I absolutely love this plane and the great visibility.
The only thing that I have a love/hate relationship with is the center stick. It feels great to fly with it but it makes it very fun to organize all the paperwork required for IFR flight.
if u liked this check the DA 42 ,i love flying it everyday

@weflycongo Comparing sr22 and da40 is unnecessary. da40 isn't a high performance aircraft.

@MrMushedup cirrus have an appalling safety rating. I'd happily have the DA40 over the SR22.

My instructor said the hours come up quickly on the DA-40's, so as much as they are beautiful, they need plenty of looking after.

I flew a DA40 at ASI Jet Center in Eden Prairie Minnesota last weekend. The DA40 from this video was sitting on the ramp there...

you can get a mooney for a lot less, and a lot less, with a lot more cruising speed and range. I will stick with my Lancair IV though.

Mmm... Lancair IV. That's a sweet airplane. Take it from a DA40 owner.

Don't think you stuck to distances from clouds on those flights as required?
