Brashear was an assist away from a Gordie Howe Hat Trick... and he had a couple of good shots at that assist. Not as good as the shots he put on Thornton, but good shots. BTW, Thornton bled pretty heavily from the face as he sat in the penalty box. I'd say Brashear got the better of this one.

did you watch it? its on youtube. Brashear ducked and pushed Chara down. Sure he beat the crap out of Thornton..but no respect for ducking out on Chara...and Kudos to Thornton who won't back down from anybody. That the same reason Brashear took a stick to the head when he was in Vancouver..now that was awesome!!!

some times brashears height advantage works against him when the helmets are still on. his opponents can sneak in upper cuts while he has nothing but helmet to aim at.

Great fight, but definite win to Thornton... Brashear only landed a few (although he threw many), while Thornton "buckled" big Donald, and sent him briefly to his knees... Best punch of the fight and WIN for Thornton, and I don't like Boston at all...
