The Big Bang Theory was funny for like a season. Then it was the same thing over and over and over. Like they're trying to make a spoof of themselves. The part where he says, "I just said I do not care for that!" made my skin crawl. Get some new jokes.
@TallAnimations@mrwittyone@faeriegeek etc. RE: the "Doctor Who's home planet" vs. "The Doctor's home planet" question: Please remember many Americans would not have understood the remark was a reference to "Doctor Who" if they had just said "The Doctor". Not everybody had the privilege of growing up with Dr. Who.
@WiccanHighPriest0 Context is a wonderful thing; my comment was made in response to TallAnimations's very asinine insult towards this very amusing sketch. I am actually quite proud to count such a man as Craig Ferguson as one of my fellow citizens, naturalized or native. And there are moments such as this one where I very much agree with Mr. Ferguson's feelings towards Englishmen, you judgmental busybody. :)
EPIC FAIL! Not one single person in that room realized that Craig Ferguson once guest starred in an episode of RED DWARF. That in itself should have made up for the lack of correct knowledge about DR WHO.
However, I believe Craig could redeem himself by having David Tennant on his show. After all, he is currently in cast of the FRIGHT NIGHT remake which would justify his appearance.
That american bloke didn't know bugger all about Doctor Who.
His name's The Doctor, not Doctor Who.
He didn't find the TARDIS in a junk yard - he stole it from the Time Lords on Gallifrey and landed it in a junkyard (76 Totters Lane - I'm sad when it comes to Doctor Who)
Damn they got it wrong - still quite funny though...
@daftvampire16 Ouch! That would make him Britain's most wanted... possibly. At least he didn't mention anything about The Master being sentenced to death on Skaro *shudder*; that world secure his place as most wanted.
@TallAnimations craig ferguson is scottish, he is a big fan and does know alot about dr who, just a little mistake, not every can get the facts right all the time, and anyway it was proably made very quickly and written by the big bang theory writers not him,
@niknarnevets I can't really see bringing in a show's writers to do a skit when he has his own in-house writers on staff -- who'd know the difference between "The Doctor" and "Doctor Who" The mistakes were obviously done on purpose.
@mrwittyone i'm not really caring about the mistake now but i think it was tbbt writers who wrote this as they know their characters, if they can bring in the cast then they can bring in one or 2 of their writers, it's all cbs anyway, great promo stuff,
@TallAnimations Actually there are some sources that say the Doctor did get the TARDIS from a junkyard because he never had his own as he apparently never passed his pilot/driving test which would explain why he doesn't always get the time/place that he intends plus River Songs comment on how he can't fly and the TARDIS only makes that sound because he leaves the brake on. Plus the TARDIS is a type 40 which is an old and outdated model which is probably why it was in a junkyard.
@ShinigamiMichelle its been said in the Smiths series and Im pretty sure Tennants that he stole it. Also it was explained in one of Tennant's last episodes (might have been the last, its been a while) that the reason he has trouble flying it is because its meant to be driven by 6 people/time lords. oh and in the episode where the TARDIS' soul is transferred in to a girl she explains that she takes the Doctor where he needs to go, not necessarily where he wants to.
Minus 50 points for calling the Doctor 'Doctor Who'. And he didn't FIND the TARDIS in a junk yard, he STOLE IT on Gallifrey and LANDED IT in a junkyard.
@LorChan1919 Some people apparently do not understand the concept of "humor." Ask yourself, would the lines have been as funny if they were technically accurate?
@mrwittyone Ask yourself; what are the chances I was actually being serious? Would the comment have been as funny if I hadn't played the 'nitpicking geek' card?
I was making a joke. Perhaps you're the one who doesn't understand the concept of humor.
@lushiousification He probably only supports American television programs for some reason. Plus, they rival Star Trek. There is a very serious concept of Star Trek/Doctor Who Warfare, as there is Pirate/Ninja Warfare, Werewolf/Vampire Warfare and Mac/PC Warfare.
@lushiousification Oh yeah! They've been rivaling each other for years! It's basically the American Doctor Who. What with stealing planet names and technology, - even plot baseis.
By the way, since you live in Canada, I was wondering when Doctor Who is actually broadcast for you to see it. Don't suppose you could tell me how often new episodes are on, when and on what channel?
@Gallifrey103 I'm not the best person to ask, lol. But, I believe CBC TV or the Space channel plays Dr. Who. I haven't watched much of it here, I lived in North Wales for a year and watched a lot of it there, and Top Gear, good times.

Sheldon: It was a humorous conceit predicated on a violation of the fourth wall and I did not care for it. We are well rid of him.
Raj: Now what do we do?
Leonard: Cue the Late Late Show opening title montage.
Sheldon: I-I just told you I DO NOT CARE FOR THAT.
