EPIC FAIL! Not one single person in that room realized that Craig Ferguson once guest starred in an episode of RED DWARF. That in itself should have made up for the lack of correct knowledge about DR WHO.

However, I believe Craig could redeem himself by having David Tennant on his show. After all, he is currently in cast of the FRIGHT NIGHT remake which would justify his appearance.

He didn't find the TARDIS in a junk yard - he stole it from the Time Lords on Gallifrey and landed it in a junkyard (76 Totters Lane - I'm sad when it comes to Doctor Who)

@TallAnimations Actually there are some sources that say the Doctor did get the TARDIS from a junkyard because he never had his own as he apparently never passed his pilot/driving test which would explain why he doesn't always get the time/place that he intends plus River Songs comment on how he can't fly and the TARDIS only makes that sound because he leaves the brake on. Plus the TARDIS is a type 40 which is an old and outdated model which is probably why it was in a junkyard.

Also it was explained in one of Tennant's last episodes (might have been the last, its been a while) that the reason he has trouble flying it is because its meant to be driven by 6 people/time lords. oh and in the episode where the TARDIS' soul is transferred in to a girl she explains that she takes the Doctor where he needs to go, not necessarily where he wants to.
