  • This was on my birthday. :D

  • I've been to one LAN party in my life and it was just me and 5 friends. I've never heard a LAN party going on around where I am. I've always wanted to go to one outside of friends.

  • you can rent games online...

  • i bought spore,it dident work on my computer. so i put it on my grandpas computer then it wouldent let me put it into a diffrent comp so i only played a few hours of spore for 30$ it really pissed me off when i couldnt return it or get a new copy for free.

  • @GENNAVISOIN I feel your pain and you have my sympathies, but I must confess I found it funny that your grandpa's rig is apparently better than yours. I'm in no condition to brag myself, being nowhere NEAR the sort of income level I'd need to get a true gaming PC, but perhaps you could take solace in the fact that your comment brought some joy into the world.

  • @Tryzon dude you are the best commentator ever

  • @ddergjjjkjkkf Really? You meant to say that to me? I suspect this is some mistake, but I'm flattered, all the same.

  • @Tryzon no seriously you witty and have tact

  • @ddergjjjkjkkf Wow. If you're serious, this is quite the honour. Compliments will get you a long way with me ^_^

  • @Tryzon sorry for my abizzmal gramar

  • Does anyone know what the processing cost is? Because i want them to make profit, but i wanna be safe with my money

  • Damn TB, those guys got you good. I would have rage quited.

  • @RedSky1643 I lol'd at your comment.

  • wow tb u suck at ac online . . .

  • the only lan i have been to was for halo, with my youth group at church

  • 12:08 lol

  • Hidden pursuers can surprise you....you might talk a lot of sense but you're not ninjas like us

  • THIS WAS ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!

  • @legoluigi100 chill-.-

  • I understand you make money from the adds, but god damn bad breathe one is fucking ANNOYING.

  • I live in Norway where the average game costs anything between $80 - $120. Am I justified in pirating them? I rarely do pirate games, and I tend to buy them afterwards if I enjoyed them. I've been burned quite a few times when buying games, (most of all by Volition, Inc.) and I don't feel like shelling out that amount of cash for games that are basically crap.

  • our school used to do a lan thing

  • yoy can rent games from blockbuster

  • GLenn you are a douche.

  • How about if u pay under $20 you u can get smaller versions of the games, but pick one full game.

  • I pirated counterstrike source and gmod then bought them later. I only pirate because I wanna make sure the game is good. Soon I'll buy mount and blade warband because I enjoyed that.

  • @crazyjak56 Sorry, your not entitled to 'try out" games and then "buy them" just because you say your getting them. If they wanted to release their content to be tried out then they would, pretty sad that the only argument for piracy is this.

  • @monkeythelamar I'm just saying that they were good games, they'll get my money. If they're getting my money, and the amount they ask for it, then it can't be stealing. While it still isn't right, I'm not exactly a money pot and I like to know if it's worth it.

  • @crazyjak56 What you just said in no way refuted the words of the monkey. LIVE WITHOUT, IT'S A HOBBY. Do you have ANY idea how many great F2P games are out there?

  • @happilylonelygamer What the hell are you talking about. I'm saying that if I pirate a game, I'll buy it and continue playing it from then on. The thing about pirating is that you pretty much don't get multiplayer, patches, along with other advantages. I just use pirating as a way to test the waters because like I said, I'm not a big spender and I'd like to make sure what I'm buying is worth it. And to be honest I find a lot of free to play games are garbage since they tend to be point and click

  • @crazyjak56 Guess what, your not entitled to test the waters. Reviews are fine to "test the waters", seems like somebody is exploiting it and pretending just like all other pirates to actually buy the game.

  • @monkeythelamar After this I'm done arguing with you. Who the hell is pretending to buy their game. I know I'm not entitled to do this which is why it's looked down upon, but I'm not just going to just leave developers in the dust without payment. Just about every game I pirated, I bought afterwards because that's what I do. Not every one of us does the same thing, just stealing and telling developers to suck it. So no, it isn't right that I do it, but I can say that I'll compensate them later.

  • Arguing entitlements is like arguing rights; it's meaningless. I say he has the right to test the waters, you say he doesn't. Neither of us are right or wrong. Of course you'll claim to be right, because you're a self-righteous douche, but hey.

  • TB is really bad at Assassin's Creed

  • I honestly one time pirated a game, liked it, bought it, and finished the pirated version because I was partway through it.

    Fun times.

  • I love your take on things like this (In reference to the Indie Bundle), its refreshing to hear such a strong willed, and competent opinion on the internet. Man, I need to watch more of your videos.

  • What happend at 2:09?

  • I am pleasantly surprised by the pith of this video. I used to think little of TB for his commentary elsewhere, but I respect the well-speechified insight.

  • 14:10 it's 5 times ^^

  • its 3:00 am so i am gona go to sleep bye ZZZZZ....zzzz...

  • realized*

  • i loved 3 of the games so i gave them £60 for the 3 games and another £20 for the other game so i paid £80

  • If I had enough disposable income (I'm 16), I would gladly pay 15 dollars or so for such bundles. I do not have cash lying around, so I prefer not to buy it. I wish people would pay an honest amount. Costing an indie dev money AND skipping out on a charity donation is on the level of spitting in an orphans face.

  • Sporie is still one of the best games i ever played but then agauin i got it 3 years after it came out

  • 15:10 yes go on get him :D What?! NO HE WAS SO CLOSE!!

  • I will sell you that exact device for whatever you would like to pay!

  • I can only afford around 7 and a half dollars for the HIB3. Makes me feel bad. :(

  • A device that sets people on fire through the internet...

My good sir, I wish to fund your research!

  • @SixtehNien Do you get mad at every comment or see or something? Because all the comments you seem to write are you getting angry and replying to someone you're mad at.

  • @4Zook44 Don't misunderstand me. I'm not angry at all. I'm actually quite happy and laughing.

My only wish is that parents raise their children properly so they use proper grammar and logistics in the way they speak and type. Granted, I don't use perfect grammar, but even so; I do use grammar well enough to where people understand my intentions properly. Well, normally. You were the one that seemed to be getting angry. :D "@SixtehNien Learn to not be a faggot."

  • @SixtehNien But you're a fanboy.

  • @4Zook44 Of? What am I a fanboy of?

  • @SixtehNien Dicks.

  • @4Zook44 I asked what I'M a fan boy of.

  • @SixtehNien And I answered.

  • Damn my conscience, damn it to hell! Forcing me to pay more than $20 because otherwise I just know It will make me feel guilty

  • Frankly...the scheme where you let the consumer choose the price is absolute garbage. It will lead to one thing and that's exploitation, when people are faced with an opportunity to make money at relatively low cost/risk believe me they WILL do it, regardless of morals. I'm not supporting the people doing this, it's immoral and certainly wrong, but the idea itself of buying something in bulk and very cheap and exchanging it for something of higher value is standard practice and makes sense!

  • It's spelled parties. PARTIES.

  • Your Humble Indie Bundle bit was extremely true. People who pay a cent for 6 games that can go towards the developers and CHARITY? That's pretty low...

  • Thought provoking commentary. Thanks for covering issues like this TB!

  • Seriously LANS are > internet games, even if you are 4 or 5 ppl only

  • Please... Think about it, if you pirate a game, and you like it, will you buy a 90 dollar copy of a game you already have gotten for free?

    I don't think so.

  • send dark biscuit after them :D

  • I work in a game dev company and we release PC games for approximately US$6 - 12 each. However, it seems that even with a demo and no matter how affordable the game is, there will *always* been a hardcore piracy audience who will not pay for a cent for a game no matter how much they say they like it. Then complain on the forums when they run into copy protection and such.

Oh well, such is life in the industry.

  • When Shogun 2:total war came out, i pirated it the first day. For whatever reason, after 30 turns in the pirated game, your save becomes corrupt. By my 30th turn, i loved the game so much i had shelled out the 60$ on steam withing 10 minutes. So you can see that this does prove that if you give me time, and i like the game, i will buy it. I wish companies would do something along these lines, I would be more inclined to buy singleplayer pc games.

  • I have a theory that flamers on forums do eventually spontaniously combust, but it's probably really rare.

  • Pr0tip - seperate CD keys for renting / trial versions than for full copies.

  • "In fact, I'd like to set you on fire through the internet! Lets see if I can invent a system which allows me to do that..." Oh TB, I love you. xD

  • I've never actually heard TB switch voiceovers...

  • anyone like it when he is like "thanks for watching the mailbox ill see you next tiiiime"

    i love it :)

  • good luck! inventing the "online flamethrower" ;P

  • There should be new series named "I suck at Assassin's Creed"

  • i like Spore

  • I felt so bad for TB at 15:15!

  • setting people on fire through the internet? hmmm....

  • Another example; I download stuff via bit torrent reasonably regularly. Recently I came across a particularly awesome book in a torrent as a pdf file. It was one of the best books I've ever read, so I took the time to track down the author, (they had a paypal account) and actually sent them $50 for the book. So I do pirate, and I do evaluate, but for people who create good stuff, I don't like them going empty handed, either. Small scale, direct Capitalism is the best kind.

  • I will also generally evaluate movies via Bit Torrent before I go and see them theatrically; particularly if it's something that I really want to see, and I'm 85% certain I'm going to go to a cinema for anyway. I did that with The Dark Knight and Avatar, and then went and saw both at the cinema multiple times. I'll be doing it with The Dark Knight Rises, as well. I love Batman; always have.

  • Spore is a great example. The videos Will Wright was showing at E3 for years were absolutely awesome, and then retail, EA gave us the TL;DR version.

I went halves on the cost with my housemate at the time, played it through once, and then never touched it again after that. I was very, very disappointed, but I knew exactly what had happened to poor Will. The suits had finally got to him.

  • I dont need a plane to get to dreamhack. (trollface)

  • TB setting people on fire over the internet since 2011

  • Dont get mad at the people who are buying the Indie games for really low amounts of money. If you seriously believe that the developers didnt know this was gonna happen your retarted. If most people have to choice to buy a house for 1 million with half going to charity, or the same house for 200,000 most people would pay 200,000.

  • @FranklyGaming inb4 "you're" and whatnot.

  • @mizukokatajii

haha ok thanks there but seriously you have to see what Im saying. I haven't even bought the indie boundle, but im just saying

  • @FranklyGaming So you're saying that you're allowed to rip people off when you get the chance? He already says that he thinks it's an experiment, but it shows that people are merely buying this selfishly. The example you just gave, there are houses where that's still a reasonable price and thus not valid. Right now these people are merely showing what scumbags they are. You're allowed to get mad at it when people are selfishly using a system when it's based on trust.

  • @silimas

Well what Im saying is any company that ACTUALLY believes that they wouldn't get screwed over in a deal like this is mental. I mean why pay a lot of money to a company you don't even care about? Why waste the money you have worked hard to get when you don't have to? The people that are paying nothing are being smart and taking a chance they got. I mean I didn't do it, but a smart person would.

  • @FranklyGaming you're missing the point. he isnt referring to people not wanting to pay alot of money when they dont have to, he is referring to the people buying a 100 copies for 1 cent then resell or trade for for instance tf2 items.

  • I spent $5 :(

It isn't much but still more than 1 cent.

  • Just because I love charity's and things of those nature, I'm gonna pay 100$ for the Humble Indie Bundle. All those people out there exploiting this disgust me.

  • @splosionz I already bought all those games, but I bought the Humble Bundle to give more money to the developers.

  • @splosionz charities*

  • @qvr4tt Yeah thanks. I was trying to get a point across. Not write a fucking essay.

  • @splosionz you sir are awsome, i got the humble indie bundle for about, 51 bucks, what i didn't have anymore i could spare

  • @splosionz you're awesome :D

  • @splosionz OI just cause i mass bought the game for 30 bucks each for all my friends so they could get their feet wet in indie's doesn't make me scum

  • @aTF2player I said EXPLOITING. Your not buying them for 1 cent each and selling them for fucking hats.

  • @splosionz one of my friends tried to do that, lets just say i "talked" him out of it

  • @splosionz I pay 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000$ mwahahahahaha for the humble indie bundle

  • @splosionz I bought it for me and a friend for 2 cents. Well thats just my 2 cents LOL

  • @monkeythelamar Cool story bro. Wanna tell it again?

  • @splosionz Sure bro, im not a fucking retard like you so I don't spend $99.99 more then I need to, to a charity which just goes to the owner, not the people in need. Your pretty brainwashed bro.

  • @monkeythelamar Aw... is someone upset that they don't have a job and money to spend on games? So they have to exploit charities that go to people that ACTUALLY need the money? Get a life and a job you troll.

  • @splosionz No, somebodies a child who still believes moneys that go to charities actually benefit anybody but the owner in anyway. Pulling the troll card is a common response to children who are out of arguments and frustrated

  • @splosionz you sir are a saint from gaming Heaven

  • Is it me or was the sound a bit off? Kept stuttering and skipping gaps

  • @TheMultiEnabled Which is why I pre-order games I know I want. Imagine if everyone dropped $60 on a game that turned out to blow, and publishers thought that's what we wanted when nobody knew what they were buying. It doesn't take a couple of weeks to figure out if a game is good or not.

  • @mrmotchmaster The whole reason I'm against the bill that wants to make streaming games get harsher penalties is because a video of a game is not a substitute for actually playing it, neither is reading about it. Games are interactive, if you're not interacting you're not getting an accurate representation.

  • Well tb knows how to use magic soooooo....

  • Dear Anon:

    Shut up.

  • @ZezimaXL Thanks for the support/exposure.

  • @ZezimaXL Fun fact: That's not anonymous. Just some new summerfag who's decided 4chan is the edgy hero the internet deserves. (Protip: We're not).

  • @CaptainZETTA Fun fact: everyone is anonymous. Protip: no one speaks for everyone.

  • @Iced1992 fun fact: that is exactly what I was going for.

Also not many people are actually anonymous on the internet these days. With sites like Mybook and Facespace, people have become willing to dump their personal information to anyone(And a certain Z-burg) to read. Which leads to problems in the personal lives of said internet goers, and then the government decides to take a step it. Friggen' lovely.

  • "We are Anonymous. We want change, we want freedom of speech and we want government transparency. Do you? Whatis-theplan(.)org/"

  • @materslave1 i think your guys are right about a corrupt world (look at nixon and bush), but it kinda sounds like you want an anarchy.

  • Game how you want. -TotalBiscuit

    FTW!

  • All the anonymous comments taking over youtube scares me;Z

  • @SaruJerry we mean no harm we just wish to protest useing the modern for of media

  • @TheDeuce240 yeah you go guys, hack the shit out of everything:D i love it

  • @SaruJerry its much more than hacking my friend educate yourself to the world around you and the atrosities that are commited every where the world is curropt and must change for us all to survive

  • @SaruJerry Don't be scared, join us

  • @C00LX100 yeah you go with that.

  • they just have to make sure they are out of the buying costs + some extra money to make sure they atleast have soooome kind of buffer for the server maintenance. 5euro? 10 euro? then people can buy whatever amount.

  • <3
