Oh it's real alright. 40C wash. That's not steam but smoke. If it had been left unattended It could have burnt the house down.

It could well be a blocked pressure system you got there. The machines sensors detect it is full of water when it is not and consequently the heater kicks in. Instead of heating the water it burns your clothes. Pressure bottle all gunked up.

i got a servis washer few yrs back just because it was cheap and it lasted me a 3 weeks then it burnt out then went to indesit wich also played up on me broke down 7times in 6months then i got a lg and it still works and had no problems with it what so ever just luv the noise it makes when it finishes it sings lol

What has happened is that the bearings have failed, this is normaly due to the bearing seal failing and water entering the bearings,

these new Merloni produced machines are total rubbish, what a shame to put a great name like Servis on junk like this.

I would never buy a modern Servis as they are now owned by Indesit. Which own if im correct Hotpoint Creda Cannon etc but Hoover I've sworn by most of my life and they have never let me down ever ive got just 4 one fro 1979 81 '8x

I suggest you buy a Miele. They're the best built washing machines around. They last forever. They're 10 times better built than servis.
