Don't shoot, but I think it's a bit overdone. To my opionon, when playing Beethoven, you should always stay in control of the music, and she is losing a bit sometimes, its just to much player in a romantic way. Certain notes also are a bit out of tune and she loses the rythm with her pianist a few times.

It's a very 'spring-y' performance, but it's just a bit too much for me.

@trigger565 I'm going to suggest that the violinist here never loses control of pitch or bowing but if it comes across that she does it's probably the subtle echoing of the sound in the hall causing confusion.

This interpretation is masterly, and her strange, wild gyrations shouldn't be grounds for suggesting she overdoes anything, but it's possible to interpret it that way if your ears are closed.

@trigger565 Well, who cares about being "musically informed"? Mastery is achieved only when the artist extends outside the limitations of tradition and "correctness".

The highest level of performance occurs when I no longer hear "Beethoven's Spring", but just "Spring".

What a beautiful duet. The piano is played as though it is singing. The violinist's vibrato is so strong and her technique exceptional, making the instrument sound as though it was telling a story. Excellent collaboration, I am touched by the excellent image of 'spring' they successfully created.
