Does the expansion kit work for the virtual console? Although I still have a N64 (I think...),I don't have F-zero X anymore. I was just wondering if I have to get "X" as well as this, because I have always wanted to play the Expansion Kit version. Someone answer me! PiccoloCube or anybody!

The EK will only work with a japanese console and japanese Fzero x though.

Didn't the DD work with the American systems though?

I don't actually have one so i can't say before sure. However I did see a video where some one tried to use a DD with a European console. The system acted like the DD wasn't even there. He then switched over to a Japanese console and it regonized the DD just fine.

@Sheikah that's because europion N64s are PAL but japanese and american N64s are NTSC

@Sheikah probably because you would have to use the japanese version of F-ZERO X for it to work but the only way to play japanese games on a US N64 is with mods

It doesn't. But if you have the money to get a 64DD, the NTSC-J N64 shouldn't be a problem too. Look some 64DD F-Zero X videos. You'll never see english menu text there.

WOW! This theme song is awesome and I can't seem to get it anywhere. Not even in the original soundtrack of F-Zero X. Maybe because of the Expansion Kit. If anyone knows where I can get that theme song, I would gladly appreciate it. ^__^
