  • Braddles & Sticks before they came to Carlton, some damn good players came here in the old days to play VFL from SA, I remember seeing Peter Motley play when he first came to Carlton at the same time as Bradley & Kernahan, he looked the better out of the 3 early days, who knows what he would have done? if he'd not had that terrible car accident, much respect to the SANFL.

  • Ahhhh! The good old days, when Port could beat anyone and everyone. The way Football should be played.

  • @cooky577 have faith those days will return

  • Wish you could buy these grand finals on dvd

  • Russell Johnston was only supposed to be on loan from VFL club Collingwood but ended up staying for 207 games, captained 2 premierships (1988 & 89) and was named lead ruck in the Port Magpies greatest ever team (1870-2000). Not a bad loan I'd say.

And I'm a West Adelaide supporter. Damn I hated Port winning all the time.
