I know all the Regents Chuck-Sal-Guy-Don-Tony from the Bronx-Arfthur Ave. plus Freddy Fassert. They are and still the do wop.kings. I'm originally from Mosholu Pkway from the Bronx and am a good friend of Chuck Fassert. Barbara Ann is a classic as so many other groups recorded it. Also Runaround & Dream Girl . Love the Regents one & all peace & love-Jerry Plotnick
It was big in NYC. written by Ernie Maresca. I see on the label the band is directed by Milton Delugg-- he was Johnny Carson's bandleader before Doc Severinson.
Thanks much for posting. Of course, this much under-promoted group from the Bronx gave us the original "Barbara Ann" and the harmony, instrumentation and overall spirit of this recording are very similar.
I have this record, Great group with lots of GREAT songs. Thanks for the Post.Iam going to get all their records now that you reminded me of this great groop.
It's over 50 years since I started rockin' and still these gems keep popping up. What a smasheroo!!!! If there are more like this - keep posting, absolutely brilliant

Interesting sound harmonies. A lot like the Beach Boys developed shortly thereafter. Hummmm.

What is better than this? The Beatles can't touch it....NEVER NO WAY.
This is the real stuff.
