  • doesnt opening the case of the card void the warrenty?

  • very nice video

  • I want to poke his kirby cheeks

  • @maddiebrad : I do have these blocks available, unfortunately they are already pre installed on the GTX 280 GPU.

  • Your voice is realy similar to the British one (accent or that spelling)

  • do you sell these cards after you are done testing them?

  • Hey trubritar i have 2x superclocked gtx 280's i wanna get a third i have a i7 at 4.3ghz will a corsair tx850 watt run 3x 280's and my cpu ? pls respond

  • Why do you speak in dollars??

  • Because i live in the US...

  • Oh right. Your profile says UK though... i got confused :S

  • @patrickmanning94

    Are you stupid???

    O M G.....

  • @jumpingshadow1 Shut up, you dutch prick!

  • @patrickmanning94

I don't care what you say to me haha

  • @jumpingshadow1 Why di you leave that hurtful comment then?

  • @patrickmanning94

    Can you think?

If you can i don't have 2 answer you.

If you can't first go 2 school then come back -,-

  • hd please

  • Koolance has pulled this product from its inventory. For what reason is anyone's guess.

Anyone have suggestions for where to buy a few cooling blocks for the GTX 260 Core 16 card? They need to be trim enough to fit between two 260 (SLI) cards installed on a EVGA i790 FTW mobo.

    Thankee..:)

  • I just noticed that myself. I have 3 of them on my Tri SLI GTX280 rig and love them. I have a slightly lower OC tha he does in the video and my temps never get above 42c. I really like these blocks.

  • honestly spending that much money for video cards is not worth it. I cant imagine someone paying 800$ for his video card system.

  • Actually I bought 1 at a time and just added them one after another so the cost wasnt that bad since I didnt pay for them all at the same time.

I actually paid less than $600 for all 3. Plus my wife said i could :) lol

  • Lol, water cooling kills air cooling.

  • heh, twospik fails at life :D

  • I have a question....can you use this water block with a Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima Plus Water Cooling Kit?

    Please post back......

thanks in advance and great vid =)

  • ok

can some 1 help me iff i use 3gtx 285 ftw trisli can i use another 285ftw as physx plz some 1 help ... thx

  • I would recommend that you don't try to shoe-horn another 285 in there for Physx. The 9800GT downclocks itself already. The 285 is much faster, much more expensive, and a double-slot solution. That's a waste of speed since the slower card downclocks already, a waste of money, and a misuse of space:) Put the extra 330$ or so into another component on your pc m8=)

  • waste of a 285 dumbass

  • not unless ur running a x58 classy as that puts ur total # of cards @ 4, and unless u play a lot of games with physX its really a waste. but if it puts a smile on ur face who am i to say its wrong ;)

  • a gtx 295

  • "super smashing fantastic!" lol :P

  • Wow TWOspik, you seem like your life is MUCH better on the count of you're watching the fucking video and you actually have the time to comment on how "Gay" it is. So, pretty much you have just shown how much of an ignorant douchebag! Congrats =)

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, great take on life...LOL

Wish you all the best...They say that natural selection is a fail?

  • can you use your own thermal paste on the gpu, and is there a pad for the memory AND gpu or just memory?

  • i love his enthusiam "Wow! Absolutely phenominal!"

  • i only got 40fps average on crysis bench mark and im using 3gtx 280s.

do you think watercooling will make them faster?

(they reach 90degrees durin game play!)

  • on wich resolution do u playing?

and btw, when ur graphiccards reach 90 degrees, i'd prefer to set the fan speed on 65% if u using evga precision tool

  • i have evga precision tool on auto because these cards are really loud,

also i ran crysis bench mark on 1920x1200 with no AA and again on 1440x900 with 16q AA and both times got 40fps average.

surely 3 cards sould max out this game no problem?

  • i know that the GTX cards are loud coz they have a monster of a cooler. But when ur cards reach 90° its necessary coz u this heat can damage ur cards.

    40 fps on 1920x1200 uh, thats a dream^^.

Im the opinion that 40fps on 1920x1200 very high is more than enough^^

  • watercooling doesn't make cards faster, but it will give you great overclocking potencial because they run cooler. overclocking on air is much more limited because they get hotter even on stock.

  • hahaha this guys english when the benchmarks were being taken made me laugh so hard tht I laughed till I got a stich.......

but still I like the review dude.cool waterblock

  • WHOAH!

  • WHOAH! lol ily trubitar

  • I get a feeling like my pc is all videocards, so watercooling these cards might open up space for some extra expansion....

  • i get a feeling these waterblcoks occupy 1 slot. Is it possible to use the extra pci slots by using water??? say for example a tv tuner card, cutting off the second backplate of the videocard ofcourse...

  • No, unless you saw off the one of the PCI plates on the card.

  • Thats exactly what i asked. Nobody shows good top shot of the card to see if it could be modded to a 1 slot card.. Just to add a tv tuner or something.

Also the cooling performance of these vid-428 is amazing!

  • I think some brands have water cooled versions of the cards and they are single slotted. However, you pay a lot for that.

They reason why no one shows top shots is because they assume you know that it is a reference card, and all reference cards are dual slotted because of the stock fan.

You can always just saw off or somehow cut off the extra PCI bracket, but don't damage the card. And I can gaurentee that you will void the warenty, no matter what brand you have.

  • Obviously you'd be voiding the warranty. But i bet using water elongates the lifetime of these cards anyway. And they seem pretty cheap.

  • evga lets you take apart your card without voiding your warranty.

  • You should have read the entire discussion. I was discussing sawing off the second pci slot plate to have a single slot card. That would void the warranty!

  • I've been listening to my case sometime and it clicks and ticks when running tough games like crysis. video cards are too hot too grab. crysis gets my videocards as high as 103 degrees.. lowered clock at those temps. But that can't be healthy for a longer period of time. tho air temps waver and change alot. a day later the same amount of workload can give 10degrees lower temp results. (don't ask me why)

Really these cards are absolute flamethrowers.

  • "super smashing fantastic!"

    lolololololololololol

  • I want to crunch crysis too

  • lol "alUminium" or "aluminum" for those in the us.

  • hehe, I know, what's up with that, IT IS THE SAME SHIT!!

  • Don't forget to scream like guy in the movie 300- "This is Madness" while installing.

Then have a friend kick you saying" This is GTX!!!"

  • LOL nice indeed xD

  • and what wattage should i run my pc at is 850 enough?

  • what would you recomend for a 2 way sli gtx 280?

  • HI,

You will need to purchase (2) CNT-VD2 Nozzles from the Koolance Website...

  • lol super smashing fantastic

  • SUPER SMASHING....LOL

  • These blocks are the best looking and love the fact that there single slot but Danger Dens blocks are better they run cooler.

  • The DD-Tieton block shares the same at load temps as my Koolance VID-428 block does, 50°C. Idle temps are useless but my stays around the 30°C range too.

  • I love all your videos trubritar. Would it be possible to show us the inside of the Koolance block so we could view the actual water channel hidden by the top plate? EVGA shows theirs via the acrylic top version of the 260/280 block. Keep up the good work.

  • I have three of these. very pretty and very effective!!

  • Do videos of them! =)

  • niceeee dude.

    just a question ??

wheres the beast master gone ?

would be interesting to see how this thing does lol

  • nice review

  • great videos.

  • Trubritar Nice videos!!!!

  • Thanks for your professional and highly informative reviews, Trubitar. Really helps out people who are new to some of the more "exotic" types of hardware.

  • Wow no aluminum. Koolance gets +1

  • damn im really tempted by these blocks, especially now they will ship to uk.

  • They raised the price from 104.99 to 114.99 :(

  • why? why would they do that?

  • cause they realized their product was good so they wanted more money

  • Yeah your vids are rockin like all the time bro keep the good work, gives us out here some spectack ideas for our future builds. The only thing is you are rockin the newest parts before any of us get our hands on them. Have tried the veloci yet..?? Thanks Trubritar

    -J.B.

  • oh nd those koolance blocks

  • i think i rated this 5* twice so thats ermm..... 10/5 :-)

  • One of the best reviewers, i think trubi is one of the most professional reviewers out there, better than maxishine and 3dgameman combined!

  • yes (Rodney 3DGAMEMAN) is Super-professional man review!!

  • what watercooling kit are you using to cool those 280's?

    -RzK

  • Great video as usual :) love your "How to..." videos

  • Watching Trubritar's videos is always a treat.

    Loved it.

  • lmfao sad but true

  • Trib where you buying Koolance kit in the UK?

  • I think that in a few of his previoes videos he stated that he orders all his Koolance products from online and has them shipped.

  • looks rly nice and solid but nothing for me im sticking with air cooling

  • I just love the way your British and you pronounce Aluminium like the Americans.

Professional video, really informative, defitanetely subscribed, keep up the good work and you will get bigger audiences.

    Regards,

    Will.

  • Another cracking video review Trub!!.

  • watercooled the cards look so awesome

  • I'm amazed, tri SLI and an overclocked CPU and less then 750w. Wow.

  • that is impressive

  • he has a 1200w PS but the usage of the GFX cards is 750!

  • im not suprised

  • with alot of money you can buy these cards that already have the wayer block on them.

  • yeah but the blocks aren't as good. going with a seperate water cooling company such as koolance is a better choice, and besides, saves you much more money.

  • like the:

EVGA Geforce GTX 280 1gb Gddr3 HC Edition

that has a bandwidth of 155 instead of 141!

  • hey trubritar, what water cooling materials did you need to run the 3 cards with water? i'm looking to buy 3 of these cards and considering water cooling but idk how to cool 3 of them, never water cooled before, a video would be awesome showing what parts you used and how you hooked it all up. hope you can manage something in the future, your vids are awesome.

  • great video cant get enough of ur reviews lol

  • Nice work mate cant wait to see the video off the waterblocks getting mounted

  • trubritar's looking tiredo or sumthing or is it just me ? o0

3 way Sli 8800GTX SC but i am getting soon my 3 evga GTX 260 SSC and my 780i sli for full 3-way Sli speeds + a New case

    Love your videos

I have the money for GTX 280 but i read a lot of reviews that the GTX 260 overclocks way better due to the less cores 240 vs 192 also the fan is not that loud and i will push the fan to 100% in Bios so it stays stock 100%

  • Again, making nerds all over the world drool cuz of these expensive setups.

    ye, i'm a nerd myself..

really like ur vids, keep up the good work ;)

  • That thing is HUUUUGEEE!!! :p

  • now lets see how much you can overclock those 280s before they fry on water!

  • woohhooo!!! getting three of these as well!!!!!!!! awesome!!! koolance is the best ever!!!

  • normally because the vid card temps with a good waterblock should be in the 40C's, lower 50C's is saying the system isnt that great.

  • just wondering, why didn't you go with a full cover block from EK or Danger Den?

  • nice. makes the case look sexy, wish i had some of the koolance products.

  • nice!

our very own British maxishine :D!

    love it dude!

  • he's better than maxishine imo, he keeps with the latest products.

  • nice review

  • Wow, those Koolance VID-428's make the "Crysis Cruncher" look super clean. Unlike the nasty stock air coolers. 5 stars.

  • Looking good.

  • trubritar, whats your real life name?

  • Koolance products sux...i bought for my 3 gtx 280's from XFX a EK waterblock

  • Great video Trubritar!

  • ur videos are awsome trubritar ur a pro man

  • I like your videos and you seem like a decent guy, but I am extreeeemely curious; Are you sponsored by those whose products you review?

I wouldn't mind, since you show what the products can do, but it would explain for example how you can afford all these things.

    this video rocks.

    great review

  • You could be a horse racing commentator!

  • ok now i saw the whole vid he definitely is showing them off for koolance.

my god stop advertising man please maxi is genuine he does not advertise

  • maxi always advertises his site

  • his site not products

  • he gets alot of viewers they capitalize on that i wouldnt be surprised if they did sponsor him.

  • are u like sponsored by koolance or something? because they have your videos in theyr youtube page and you always use theyre products

  • man i love these vids

  • I live in America, and I hate how people say "aluminium." Everyone knows it's pronounced TIN.

  • same crap, as long as u know wat they mean it doesnt matter

  • tin is something completely different...

  • now, you are going to do some benchs right :P? are you going to push the cards more?

  • Very nice video, Like always. I cant belive it only pulled around 725 watts on load. Thats not THAT much really.

When do are you going to be sending me the stuff for the website? I'm read for it :P

  • nice kob, as always

  • that subscribe thing is annoying, seriously if your vids are good, people want to subscribe

  • HOLY cow thats so sexy those tempertures are great considering the high overclock can you make a video with just normal GTX 280 speeds like stock I would love to see those tempertures

  • 47 is what my 8800gt runs at while it idles!!! Crazy.

  • Great video! Keep it up!

  • The Koolance Vid-428 is a Great well Engineered Block...Please enjoy the Video..
