In my opinion C+C died with "Westwood". EA games will always be remembered for killing the series with the worst C+C Game ever made. Tiberium might have redeemed them but EA are too big, have too much money and not a single clue on how to create a proper RTS game. This could have been big with elements of both RTS and FPS sections. Will they ever learn?

No. That wasn't the reason. Please, actually name the game correctly.
Everyone else: You say that you loved the game now, but when it was announced everyone hated it because it wasn't like Renegade. There was no "Renegade-esqe" CnC mode, just a GDI v GDI 4 on 4 in which you controlled squad mates.
The reason why EA didn't continue this is because they first needed to end the GDI vs NOD thing so that they can focus on GDI vs Scrin. That is why they made a rush game called C&C 4: Tiberian Eclipse.
I would easily buy this game, way easier than buying something shit like C&C 4 this actually has a grim story and looks like it has some effort put into it, C&C 4 is good graphics just to get the games bought and nothing more, graphics has never been extremely high thing for players I would assume but the fact that it has a great story thats why C&C made by Westwood was so great!

Oh god c&c4 is BAD! You want to know WHY I loved Dawn of War II? Because it was an actual squad based game without super god awesome war weapons! No, its about using tactical advantages as a squad. This game steals the same elements yet in a more crap style. If you see the trailer, all you have to do is guard the stupid posts to win the level. No fun at all.
Tiberium was cancelled because part of the dev team was replaced a couple of times.
In the end, the dev team wasn't able to work with the programming created by the original dev team. So instead of rewriting the game or bringing back the original dev's, they decided to cancel it.
It has been dropped like a hot potatoe. EA has lost allot of money recently and are reducing risk. Sadly, C&C is a RTS only product for EA, it is a safe money maker as a RTS game. The FPS games are riskier and EA is not willing to risk money atm.
EA fucks up everything. The team puts up so much work for this game and EA all of sudden decides to cancel the game because it doesn't meet "their quality expectation". Since when the fuck does EA cares about quality? The only thing they care is the deadline and money. Fuck EA.

EA butchered the CnC series. Tiberium Wars was ok, I thought Kanes wrath was horrible and decided I wouldn't waste my money on Twilight. They finally get a good idea and they cancel it? Smart move EA, was looking foward to something like renegade again.

The story line directly links to Tiberium Wars too, someone needs to go shoot up EA and force them back into reproduction of this game with the Westwood staff, fuck EA replacements, get the good old team back together for the game that would of made up for EA's claim of Renegades "failure."

EA fucked up sooo soooo sooooooo badly with canceling this game, hopefully they won't cancel any future projects for a FPS/RTS cnc tiberium game... this perspective if released on 360 and PC would make HUGE mulah for them, if only EA would not have given up on such a great game and stopped making shitty sports games... Everyone else: You say that you loved the game now, but when it was announced everyone hated it because it wasn't like Renegade. There was no "Renegade-esqe" CnC mode, just a GDI v GDI 4 on 4 in which you controlled squad mates.

The reason why EA didn't continue this is because they first needed to end the GDI vs NOD thing so that they can focus on GDI vs Scrin. That is why they made a rush game called C&C 4: Tiberian Eclipse.

I would easily buy this game, way easier than buying something shit like C&C 4 this actually has a grim story and looks like it has some effort put into it, C&C 4 is good graphics just to get the games bought and nothing more, graphics has never been extremely high thing for players I would assume but the fact that it has a great story thats why C&C made by Westwood was so great!

in my brutally honest opinion after looking at the CNC4 units and tiberium's units i asked myself
WHY EA.. Why you went with a cartoony style with 4 (which i played the beta btw) than used the units and story of tiberium for 4. at least these team got it right with the grim dark future for CNC than OMG LIGHTs and Star trek shinies.

But i do wonder about the quality problem, i find it hard to believe ea would cancel a game because of bad quality.
I would rather play this "quality lacking" game, rather than c&C 4.
My guess is c&c4 killed Tiberium (both the game and Tiberium itself)

Oh god c&c4 is BAD! You want to know WHY I loved Dawn of War II? Because it was an actual squad based game without super god awesome war weapons! No, its about using tactical advantages as a squad. This game steals the same elements yet in a more crap style. If you see the trailer, all you have to do is guard the stupid posts to win the level. No fun at all.

Tiberium was cancelled because part of the dev team was replaced a couple of times.
In the end, the dev team wasn't able to work with the programming created by the original dev team. So instead of rewriting the game or bringing back the original dev's, they decided to cancel it.

It has been dropped like a hot potatoe. EA has lost allot of money recently and are reducing risk. Sadly, C&C is a RTS only product for EA, it is a safe money maker as a RTS game. The FPS games are riskier and EA is not willing to risk money atm.
