  • Modern Bob Dylan.

  • Ryan Bingham, talented AND sexy !!!

  • Wish he'd come to England. You guys in the US get Ryan Bingham. What do I get?

    More fucking Rhianna...

  • @xXkingoftheroadXx Sorry about that man, Rihanna is no Ryan Bingham. If you like him, you should check out more Texas musicians. Bingham is great, but he's just the tip of the iceberg! Let me know if you'd like some suggestions, I have plenty. If you like Bread and Water, you're bound to like what I would suggest for you.

  • @vanglaurent Thanks for the sympathy man! Yeah that'd be great I'm always looking for new artists to listen to.

  • @vanglaurent Would you like to send me your suggestions?

  • I can't believe they subject us to that loser in the advertisement before this, ppl comin onto see a boss like this play can spot a a phony dbag. poor marketing, just waistin our time.

  • this is amazing.

  • I've been digging this song and video for over a year now and it's still one of the best out there.

  • thank god i'm back in tx

  • his music makes me wanna go to texas

  • @pizaz101 come on down!! you'll like what you see

  • @lcb678 He played at the Soul Kitchen in Mobile about 2 months ago.

  • Great great record...but VEVO turn it up!! ...Volume? It's so much lower than your other videos. Amateur hour!

  • love it please come to south alabama

  • Can I get some shelter? Great music with great words...

  • I'll take my Bread and Water with a shot of Whiskey River and A big Coonass smile!!! : )

  • Anna did a great job on this video. I love listening to this album, it has such an earthy and primitive sound. Maybe it's cause Paw Paw was just learning how to drum.

  • @JHAM3232 really? haha, i always figured that pawpaw was one of those guys who had been drumming since he was six or something. love ryan, love the band, love the songs.

  • I wish this video was in color

  • five star

  • Love RB and band. And Texas. And...Houston also gets me down. My motorcycle broke down in Houston in '99 and I scrambled for a way to get it fixed and get OUT of there! I couldn't get past Austin, and decided to go no farther...love it here. Got it right, Ryan.

  • 5 people need a coon-ass beatdown.

  • This stuff is addictive!!!

  • Hot damn, this is good music!

  • Wish I had more of this where I'm from. Toronto stinks.

  • for all of you its called red dirt country,,,,,thats it plain and simple

  • i love this guy. im from north carolina (i love how he mentions us n the song!) and if this is any indication of texas country music- well, i might b payin y'all a visit. i am a rock n roll musician and vocalist, so for me to love a country song it has gotta be real good!! ;-)

  • @whiteboundry he's technically not from Texas but yes this is what we consider Texas country. If you like him you might like bands like Whiskey Myers (my favorite) Bleu Edmondson, Casey Donahew (very simple songs but fun) and Paul Eason. All popular bands from Texas, Easy listening my northern friend

  • @JeepOn94 Fuck yes on Casey Donahew!!!

  • @JeepOn94 He was born in New Mexico but he grew up in Texas, so he's from Texas!

  • 0:01

  • @KirbSleep try some Charlie Robison, Josh Abbott, Casey Donahew Band, Jason Boland, and some of those guys. There are still SOME true country artists out there, while few remain.

  • Yeah pretty cool production. He is the real dealio and comes from real shit that makes real music. Im still a much bigger Ryan Adams fan though. I think what has happened to RB is that he is the real shit, BUT quick fame has made his music sound a little over produced. If he wants to be the real shit and not Billy Ray Cyrus he will have to control the over production. Stay real, stay honest, say no when needed. Album #3 will define which direction he wants to pursue...pop country or ....

  • @TThirdplaneTT he has already had 3 albums out. Mescalito, Roadhouse Sun, and Junky Star.

  • This is definately a bad ass tune. Damn Bingham. You must have made a deal at the crossroads.

  • Id claim Texas to if I was from New Mexico

  • saw him live in denton,tx on 09/11/2009, never heard of before and was one of best live shows i have ever seen!

  • Best song ever written!

  • Bingham is the best!!!!

  • That banjo at the end is a stroke of genius.

  • eric church is only "mainstream" cause he's that f'in good...he sings about real life stuff just like bingham...love em both and they both have a place in a country music discussion...those are my top 2 and i'm stickin to it

  • i totally agree with the above comment most country that is played on the radi o is mainstream bullshit all the way.

  • I'm glad I've got some people with the same mindset, my workday wouldn't be the same if I couldn't put my Chris knight pandora station on cruise control. I like a song that tells a story and you can feel it. instead of fake ass Nashville playboys singing about things they don't even understand.

  • @greensidenavy18

    Amen brother.

  • @greensidenavy18 theres a "good" song about exactly how you feel. brian keane - ill sing about mine, if you havent heard it already on pandora :)

  • as real as real country gets

  • wow this really good!

  • Saw him open for Willie Nelson at the Greek Theatre in LA....man oh man was it a perfect combination. Great music all night.

  • dudes dope...much respect

  • it's an open E tuning

  • anyone know what his tuning is on his guitar?

  • red dirt all the way!

  • hootie and the blowfish, taylor swift.. haha love that comment... darius p.o.s... you belong in rap crap with cowboy troy... what has this country come to ..... Much love to the texas/kentucky red dirt man.... Bingham/Knight/Boland... Rock on

  • @northrnpike Oh come on, Darius is not bad at all. You gotta have a little feel good music for country. Whether you like it or not he is country. I know it is terrible, but he is there whether you like it or not, and is pretty decent when it comes to COUNTRY music. YeeHaw. hahahahahahahahahah

  • @northrnpike agree with you about taylor swift, but there is nothing wrong with darius rucker. he is nothing like cowboy troy. hooty and the blowfish always had a kind of a country sound. hes even stated that he wanted them to be a straight country band but the other members didnt agree.

  • This is good stuff here. Like hearing Ryan Bingham. Music is solid. I wonder how many miles he covered in that video while walking.

  • man forget taylor swift shes a rich spoiled sellout i got a suggestion taylor write some music real people whos life is not only guy guy guy highschool guy guy guy can accually relate to hmmm?

  • I love this man!!

  • I'm hearing you nathaneav, He's from New Mexico and that's ok by me.

He's good. I like his Tunes. I wish Mr. Bingham nothing but Success.

A Central Florida Music Good Ole Boy said that.

  • danny and nikki J sux ballz

  • Found this for the CD "Mescalito":

Personnel: Ryan Bingham (vocals, acoustic guitar, slide guitar, harmonica, shaker, hand claps, background vocals); Terry Allen (vocals, piano); Marc Ford (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, slide guitar, lap steel guitar, hi-hat, shaker, tambourine); Corby Schaub (electric guitar, mandolin, kettle drum, hand claps, background vocals); Mike Starr (slide guitar, fiddle); Stéphane Bossard (banjo); Doug Moreland, Jason Carter (fiddle); Brian Standefer (cello) (more)

  • Who is playing that terrific slide guitar? Bingham or someone else? Fabulous!

  • @CommentsSurvey binghma plays it

  • Another Good tune by the "West Texas Tornado" Yeah I nicknamed him. I hope it sticks.

Corey Schwab is a pretty good picker also. Lead & Mandolin.

Ryan comes with endorsement from Mr. Joe Ely.

    That's good enough for me.

  • @MrSmokinggun21 he's from new mexico

  • vevo blows

  • Country Music needs to get back to it's roots. Considering that I'm in my twenties, my momma raised me on the old country music. I love the old stuff. I do like Taylor Swift, but I'm tired of the Country Music sounding like Pop music. Give us something new, get back to the basics. I discovered Ryan Bingham today. It was like a breathe of fresh air so to speak.

  • that band is really good!

  • I NEVER thought I would listen to country until I heard Bingham in Crazy Heart. And then I realized that I was just deceived by mainstream media (again) into thinking I had actually heard any country before. This guy has a set of chops and can play the blues like a madman. Great artist!

  • its actually alternative country but agree its better than most of country now adays where any boy band or girl can sing pop and label themselves country, Nashville sucks! Red dirt music is where its at

  • @TXTahoe It's funny. Alternative Country sounds more like Country music than mainstream Country. Anyway I saw his performance on Austin City Limits. Great stuff. I'm now a fan.

  • If there ever was a song that was my life in a nutshell, this is it. WOW. Almost 100% to a tee!

  • WOW!

  • Such a cool riff

  • I don't normaly listen to country music, but damn Ryan is amazing. <3

  • Ah, Ryan Bingham.. Marry me?

  • ♦♦♦♦♦

  • FUCK VEVO!!!!!!!!!

  • That's good roots music right there. Americana rocks

  • @guitarbutt amen

  • it's all about that texas country son

  • Saw these guys in Charlotte, NC the other nite..I'm impressed! They can jam..look forward to seeing them in a full set in lieu of a 45 minute show..

  • You can't compare Bingham to Josh Abbott. Abbott is a fag, Bingham is the man, and his music is ten times better.

  • haha damn yall are really bustin my balls over Josh abbott, I like some of his dtuff but just so happened to be playing his stuff alot when I posted that. I'm still more about Wade bowen, boland, rich otoole, that kinda stuff. always willing to hear new stuff though!

  • good music and good singer...

  • Worth of watch...good movie. Watch it at Free Movie Zone . n e t

  • his best stuff is from years back before anyone even knew he existed. his current album doesnt even do him justice. one of the best singer/songwriters down here in Texas. look into his older stuff if youre interested.

  • @jcs1333 do you have some names of songs from his old days worth checkin out5

  • this man is amazing.

  • Great artist, great writing, REAL music from the heart. My girlfriend and I will be going to see him live in Colorado in june. (thats right amanda, already got the concert tickets, so book your flight!)

  • This guy is a great artist. I think he has a great future ahead of him.

  • yay! nitty gritty country w brains, & good music

  • hes great. enough said.

  • i met ryan about ten years ago back in my home town and he was sittin on a barstool pickin and singing and he sounded great then and he evan sounds better now. i got to know him through another buddy of mine that worked with him at the chevy deelership and let me tell you this guy is a class act. i about fell out when i saw his video "crazy heart" on tv and was happy that he had finally made it. i loved his music then and still do today. ryan keep on kickin ass buddy. see ya in houston

  • Anyone know where this was filmed?

  • labeling Abbott a punk ass follower is rediculous man, he came out of west texas just like alot of the red dirt guys. congrats on naming a few smaller names that you like, your red dirt dick must be 12 inches long. never said he's my favorite, but I think he's good. almost too "pat green" for me but good.not as good as bingham by any means

  • i love the dylan reference..... does no one else see that??? youre amazing dude

  • *sniff* *sniff* I smell a bitch.

  • this is some good music ! LOVE the slide guitar !

  • Hey, if you guys are sick of slick, over-produced country, check me out!

  • This guy is great! Great work in Crazy Hearts too!

    BRAAAAAVO.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice song

  • with a big ole coon ass smile lol

  • As a self-proclaimed "city type" who listens mostly to alternative/ hip/hop....this dude can play. Heard him on Weary Kind and then this song. Is he the long lost adopted son of Dylan and RL Burnside? I'm definatley gonna be checking out the rest of Ryan's stuff. Can't wait

  • @jrab04 yea for you!! kinda the same here but i listen to both check out hayes carl too (is it hayess or hayes i think its just hayes) colby yates and texas kid too

  • Love it!

  • ye should all listen to irish country music!check out christy moore or mick flannery..

  • This is so badass, gotta love the groove in his tunes. If for any of you that dont know Corb Lund, check him out as well. Ryan and Corb are the only "country" I listen too, both are AMAZING!

  • corb rocks !!! and yes they both are beyond amazing

  • @KirbSleep cant agree more

  • Its not country rock, its americana, or as GP would call it 'cosmic american music.' And its perfect the way it is. Dont change a thing.

  • @MasterWayne76 Red Dirt is what we call it

  • Texas Country at its finest!!!

  • sounds like some Cajun tune !! LA. music has definitely influenced his sound being from TX. Love it,RADIO NEEDS IT!

  • no.. it really has become a joke. i cant hardly listen to a mainstream country station anymore without wanting to vomit. Crap like taylor swift singing about being 15, or hootie and the blowfish trying to sound country is no better than lady gaga, and doesnt belong on a country station. anymore if its from nashville.. its shit. bingham, abbott, or any red dirt is where its at.

  • ya gotta look at it like this. Taylor swift attracts listeners from all genre as does darius rucker. Look at them as gateway artists for those who automatically assume country is for "dumb rednecks" or whatever stereo types some think.

  • only thing is, they are gateway artists to a different genre than country.. I honestly don't care what peoples opinions are of what country is as a "dumb redneck" tune. after all.. it is called "country" for a reason. and you just don't hear good talent like clint black and vince gill aside from George straight in the Nashville world. next of kin of good old fashion country: red dirt, mixed with alittle bluegrass swamp music

  • @greensidenavy18 Josh Abbott Blows...he's no better than anyone in Nashville he is a punk ass follower. His music sucks, his song writing sucks, and he is a no body. You need to go much deeper to get into good music, Bingham, Hayes Carll, Townes, Guy Clark, Todd Snider...that is good music, Josh Abbott should not even be clumped into the same group.

  • @greensidenavy18

    called Texas country/Americana friend

  • @greensidenavy18 Amen brother

  • @greensidenavy18 you messed up big time when you said abbott lol what a waste...check out 6 market Blvd out of Stephenville TX

  • @Rynot11 I checked out 6 market blvd...thanks for waisting 3 minutes of my life buddy

  • @greensidenavy18 -- Love him as much as the next guy, but he is still OWNED by Vevo.... Ain't nothin' country about Vevo.

  • @greensidenavy18 Also check out Hayes Carll. I hate the state of mainstream country music. Especially after I was riding with my niece in my car listening to Hayes and she said, "Why don't you give real country music like Kenny Chesney a try?" I wanted to kick her out of the car...............

  • @madseasons6732 YEA FOR HAYES CARL!!! i wanna see him in albuquerque but i cant cuz im not 21 and kenny chesney i mean really kenny chesney i would have kicked her out haha

  • @greensidenavy18 Agree completely. Nashville sucks and couldn't make real country if their lives depended on it. Texas country is where it's at.

  • @hamilton106 he's not from texas...

  • @Johnnycdc31 True enough, Bingham was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, but he was raised in Texas.

  • Comment removed

  • @hamilton106 fuck u buddy there both fucking amaziiing and obvousily ur right fucked because u dont appreaitate music country music is unbelieve able and u have the nerve to be a ignorant prick about it what the fuck !

  • @hamilton106 yes you are so right Nashville does suck, i can't name one person or band worth listening to. Ryan is it!!

  • @greensidenavy18 When I grew up it was Hank Jr, Willie, Waylan, G. Jones and other great shit now its just all a bunch of 'Hollywood Twang'. I hate it.

  • @greensidenavy18 Not to mention the thought of "mainstream country" is extremely ironic in itself. Country got its start from poor southerners singing blues because of the times, and that's what real country is made of; the experience of hard ship, which makes it easy for self expression in itself. However the people like Taylor Swift have had it so good for so long their "country" only consists of fantasies that little girls would have, Simply because she has experienced nothing.

  • @greensidenavy18 amen dude ragweed and chris kinght, with some waylan and willie throrwn in there.

  • @greensidenavy18 amen dude Chris Knight, Cross Canadian, some stoney larue and brandon jenkins love em they are what makes country awesome.

  • Finally i can't read this, what is that vevo thing?

  • Great song, but loading is very very slow :/

  • country music is definitely respected and country has not been joke mr adriano country music the heart and soul of the music industry its what started all the music and music has turned gay like lady gaga stuff

  • listen to Citizens Band Radio, also great country rock!

  • this isn't country music. country music sucks!

  • If more country music was like this, maybe it would be more respected. Unfortunately, country music has become quite the joke in mainstream culture.

  • mud truckin, whiskey and Ryan Bingham

  • Beer ,Bugs and Babes !! YeeHaw !! PEACE JIM

  • exactly.

  • Thank You Crazy Heart for giving Ryan Bingham some international airplay. Maybe now folks will discover just how fine a musician he is!

  • Fuck, he's good.

  • cannot beat his style.
