They aren't TRYING, Home has a bunch of short comings. Home is a separate branch, it's basically it's own game. 360's avatar has integrated it into the system and how its your gamer profile. PS3's home is going to have a good amount of items that actually cost money to buy, clothes etc. While 360's 3.33$ a month covers everything. Can't really complain about the live cost now...And as for being able to chat with other people...Yeah...You could do that with messaging, or actually playing a game.
