World of Warcraft - Old school world PVP

the reason there was so much world pvp in vanilla was because the world was a quarter of the size it is today so coming across an opposing faction was pretty common. In fact everytime you played you would end up in these skirmishes. Now wow just seems bloated... Hopelfully blizzard next gen mmo will be like a new wow again.

i never played WoW before BC but when i started playing BC had just come out and omfg was it ever fun for me the exploration was so intense and so amazing coming from Runescape to wow lmfao miss back when there was no BoA leveling was pure questing maybe a run through dead mines at level 15 once or twice but still, and having to walk was still the joy of exploring no mounts till level 40 haha it was a mission to get one, if only it stayed that way

@Matronic05 Well, no way back then Southshore because both factions had a flight path in the same area. This was just a pretty good area to camp because there was a Horde flight path, and the Alliance had an important quest near the border of the zone and that bridge.

Blizzard should create rewards for world pvp. Not usless ones, but the best gear and epic items to encourage world pvp again... bg's are so limited and repetative, world pvp is always fun! Bring back REAL pvp! :)

and in cata they are 'bringing back' pvp titles, but instead of earning them with HKs you get them as achievements from battleground rating... -.-

@dude853 I played Pre-TBC and it was amazing....then i played TBC and it was ...OK not as good as classic but some of the stuff they gave classes made sense (spell reflect for warriors) but once WOTLK came out....and now cata? I played my friends rogue/warrior on WOTLK with Cata talents....completely RUINED WoW literally every1 has 32-34k health....theres no diversity in health for the most part...and caster own the game right now its dumb. And EVERY1 (i think) has a self healing ability...DUMB!

Hehe. good old pvp roaming gangs. They made travel from the arathi highlands and stranglethorn vale dangerous on my server. People would warn others with yells and defense/general chat. It made you feel connected with the game world.

Nowadays it's just sit around in dalaran, waiting for the next auto queue to take you to the next instanced dungeon or battleground.

Recruit a small team of moderators and then get some of your hardcore gamer friends to play during server down time or something, maybe create custom content to keep you guys occupied. I quit when the lich king came out but pvp was way better back in the day. Blizz slowly added guards all over the place which makes world pvp almost impossible. You can't take over towns anymore because of constantly spawning guards. When arena came out it forced everyone to similar builds. In arena 90% of people play the same way and everyone has the same gear. Pretty dumb which is why I quit. Anyone wanna buy an old school warlord rogue on firetree let me know :). lev 70 full seaon 4 arena

world pvp is where players would fight eachother outside of BGs, so, horde and alliance could fight in say.... darkshore. but it got ruined by constant guards spawning, however, every now and again, on PVP servers, some fights MIGHT break out...
