Out of all the shows I've done this is my FAVORITE! i Played Albert in high school. I think we were like the 2nd or 3rd school in the country to do this show. At the timeIt was truly memorable! Now I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE LOVE to direct it!

I have just stumbled across this - and I know alot of work goes into these productions - however - I am finding it very hard to watch - because the music is so loud you cannot hear the actors....

When I put in headphones, they split the singing into one ear and the music into another and it was very clear to hear. You may want to try that.

HAHA It is a CONCERT version which means they are actually required to hold the script whether they use it or not. And for a concert version the rehearsal period is often so short that it would not be possible to commit all the material to memory

I think she perfectly fits the character of Mary. Mary wasn't some cutesy, typical little girl. Her voice is different but strong and I think it really works.

She's a kid, and she's english. Her voice is going to be a little nasaly; by the time she is a young adult/teen, shell have learned how to sing properly!

Not necessarily. I mean, she could outgrow the nasal sound in her voice, but she might not.  The thing is, her speaking voice is nasally too, so she doesn't only sing through her nose, but talks that way as well. And I know several teens who sing and speak nasally because their voices are just naturally that way. So it could be like that for this girl, too.
