  • I'm sitting here giggling, if I saw it live I'd be on the floor in a fit. Who are these people in the audience?! They didn't deserve to be there!

  • I love Louise Dearman xD She's so adorable!

  • No one's laughing.

Oh well. They must be sore over never visiting Oz.

Everyone who saw Wicked went to Oz and right now wishes they could go back <3

  • Love this accent xD sweet

  • I live in the UK but I prefer the American version of Wicked.

  • This is great, but the accents ahh. >.<

  • usually accents go away while singing *dies*

  • @TheNightcloudHATER LOL you think they speak in an American accent in Oz?

  • What the heck is with the 28 dislikes!!!!??????? This is a brilliant song, performed by two flawless actresses. I love how different this performance is in contrast to their west-end ones, just shows how wonderfully they keep their love for this musical alive. Good work girls :) x

  • @erinsboroughfan haters gonna hate :/

theyr both amazing actreeses, fantastin singers , anf this is an awseome performance from an even more awesome muscial, i dont get why people complain so much

  • this is terrible

  • For some reason, they don't bring the same charms as the US Cast.. sorry =/ haha

  • @emattbax It's probably because Kristen and Idina were THE originals. They were the first Glinda and Elphaba, and people who saw it back then can only see them as the characters. I've seen several clips of innumerable actresses, and they all bring something different to the characters, but I still see Idina and Kristen as the best. Thay are, after all, the originals.

  • I've seen a great many versions of this both here and in the West End (though a few years back) and can honestly say that this one is my favourite!! Idon't think I'll get bored of this anytime soon

  • she sounds so british never heard it like this before:L

  • best glinda ive seen!!

  • ITS THE BEST MUSICAL IN EXSITANCE

  • Elphaba at the 1:29 like SPORTS...

  • I just don't understand how anyone prefers Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenowith to these two...from what I've seen they're dull and static. Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman bring these characters to LIFE! Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've seen the west end version live and only seen the broadway one in youtube clips.

  • @emattbax I get what you are saying because i have seen them live aswell, but Idina and Kristen just have great chemistry together.... They are really connected, watch the For Good rehersals and you will see what I mean. :)

  • Rachel's wig is HORRENDOUS. I mean She looks bald basically. Jesus.

  • She's not a witch, she's a fairy! Lol

  • They seem great, but I have a soft spot for Jemma Rix and Lucy Durack from the Australian cast...their chemistry was better.

  • Seen this cast 3 times. They are exceptional, even if they are rather different to Idina and Kristen

  • These people do not deserve to see this! Laugh!

  • I love how west end's Glindas sing populAH. so cute!

  • Why is no one laughing?

  • @MarilynMonroe4eva When listening from 0:14 to about 0:17 I can hear a slight chuckle from someone who might have been sitting at the back.. ... .. of the bus ... .. .. that was passing near.. .. .. a poster of the show three blocks away from the place.

  • Who dragged up Dick Van Dyke? nothing against either of the actors but if your going to pretend to be Kristen Chenowith please go less cockney...

  • i thought that it was meant to be american, but i have never heard anyone so english!

  • @GU14Weather Well this is the West End (English) Cast. And the show is based in an imaginary world so there is no inherent reason for them to sound American. It'd probably go down slightly less well with the British public

  • @indigojac08 very true

  • @GU14Weather its huge in the westend :D

  • this Glinda is so cute XD

  • Glinda's acting: Brilliant, funny english accent, beautiful

Elphie: Beautiful, thinking wtf is she doing? LOL I love it! xD

  • You know when people slate the WE version of Glinda because of our accent, you do realise that Glinda's diction was actually English anyway....

  • @red99balloons Oh yeah that's true because Gregory Maguire- the author said that Wicked really is meant to be based in Britain because it's part of our fantasy world 8)

  • Just because actresses and actors are not always the originals, it does not mean they are just as good, or sometimes even better

  • OMG they turned it into eastenders

  • This is what I hate about some Wicked fans. They treat it like a competition. Broadway v West End; This Elphaba v That Elphaba; one Glinda against another Glinda... All actresses in all productions of this show are amazing, let's not forget that, guys! Yes, Louise might be my favourite Glinda, but that doesn't mean I go around bashing other Glindas just because they're not her...

  • After seeing the broadway version theres no comparison. Plus the accent is really agitating...the musical suits the american accent better for some reason.

  • @RedLineHorizon Hmmm....after seeing this and seeing a number of American versions I do prefer this one...probably to do with the fact that I am from Europe and just more used to an English accent compared to an American :)

At the moment the Dutch version of Wicked is being performed, no hassle with accents as it's all in Dutch! ;)))

  • Kristen chenoworth is a lot better at this role than this person. with kristen it looks effortless. this looks to put on. If i had not seen the show before seeing this this it would have put me off seeing it.

  • Dearman is the English Galinda. Chenoweth is the American. As to which I prefer: I like the English sensibility more.

  • her accent!

  • From my perspective, they have accents. That makes this SO much better. =) Wicked + accents = WICKED AWESOME! =)

  • MY BIRTHDAY XD

  • shes crap

  • She's wonderful! But her voice sounds like Lois Griffin singing! I love it!

  • Im seeing this twice next year! SO FLIPPING EXCITED!

  • She was good!

  • I want Lou back in Wicked :(

  • i think shes good but i cant stand the accent

  • also it like she ate tons of sugar and during the song its

how to fix your hair not how to do your hair

  • @TheTylerproductions1 In England they've changed the line to 'do' your hair instead of 'fix' as its more common to say 'do your hair' in England:)

  • @gemzn That's more commen in the U.S. as well. Or at least where I am in the U.S.

  • 3:07 - "your new fat popularity" lol

  • @filmachimina1 I actually forgot I posted this. I must apologize for my comment about her not being funny. I saw videos of her actually performing during Wicked, and she changed my opinion of her completely. She's actually quite delightful, and probably my second favorite Glinda, next to Chenoweth. I am sorry my previous comment angered you, and I completely retract my statement.

  • @MrPotatoPancakes Glad you watched some more videos :) I know its easy to judge, but its not nice for the actors to see nasty comments based on one part of the performance. Thanks for watching more :)

  • I love you Tuckman ! :D

  • Like if you're a Lounatic :D

  • This is a snippet of a made to measure for the TV audiences of the Blue Rinse crowd. Louise was electrifying on stage, along with amazing comic timing & a voice that would melt the hardest hearts, she will long remain my favourite Glinda by far. To add to all of this, she is one of the nicest people you can ever meet. If none of this comes across in this silly TV clip, thats a shame for all of you that have never seen her on stage or met her either.

  • I LOVE LOUISE DEARMAN! She is a fantastic perfomer, beautiful & genuinly one of the loveliest people I have ever been lucky enough to meet, Those of you saying the Lou is trying to copy Kristen or Dianne- You're wrong she's not copying anyone shes playing the role as she has interpreted it! As for the accent: She's on the West End in London- of course it's British! But she puts this voice on-not how she actually talks. Her & Rach are (in my opinion) the best Elphie & Glinda but that's just me :)

  • @itsjustafacade now now, remember your table manners ;)

  • @itsjustafacade whoops... :P xx

  • @itsjustafacade haha! :') xx

  • Louise Dearman is the best Glinda there has ever been (and ever will be). That is all, end of story.

  • Just goes to show that there's a heck of a lot of Louise fans out there and if you say anything negative you're going to get eaten...

  • Louise<3 that is all.

  • LOUISE DEARMAN is the most amazing Galinda ever, she's just beautiful. I've seen her, i've met her, she's lovely. She plays Galinda in her own way, and i happen to love that way.

  • LOUISE DEARMAN IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!! One of the kindest most lovely people you will ever meet! Exceptionally talented and funny, spot on with her interpretation of Glinda just how I imagined it! :)

  • @Lilo96115 You can't say that unless you have actually seen them. I know that if you had you wouldn't say that.

  • Those who are hating on Louise Dearman as Glinda, have you ever actually seen her live? I'm guessing not, which means you're judging her on one performance, which is really rather pathetic. If you're going to make a balanced judgment on a performer, at least see them in the pigging theatre first rather than saying 'Oh they're conceited and annoying' based on a YouTube video. Louise is NOT trying to play it like Kristin (that's another thing, spell actor's names right), she is her own person.

  • Wow, so Louise Dearman is a star, and she brought her own flair and spark to this role! It is a shame, that in this performance you don't get to see the end where she shows Rachel how to Toss Toss, and you don't get to see her one of a kind shoe spazz, and of course the famous Toss Toss Giggle - Louise Dearman's Glinda was original, it was all her, and she will never been beaten and none should or would try! All the Glinda's i have seen have brought their own spice to the role! Amazing!

  • top comments are full of lou love! that's how it should be!

  • lou:'( she's so amazing! stop being mean and go and see her live..oh wait..you cant..missed you chance! love you louise! xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i went to see Wicked on the West End last week, and these were the actress's and they were amazing, had chills all the way through

  • cockney voices doesnt sound right

  • @funksoulfever That isn't a cockney accent

  • Whos the one playing glindaa?xx

  • they are amazing live when to see them in the summer

  • I really don't get this audience at all, Popular is one off the funniest and best scenes in the show, especially when the stunning Louise Dearman is singing it and not one of the crap audience moved a muscle or had a little giggle :O If I was in the audience I'd be on the floor crying with laughter!!! Best Glinda there's ever been & Rachel Tucker love her best Elphie there's ever been :D Team Tuckman Forever & Always

  • I really like her! I think she's funny. :D

  • wow.... *mouth drop* the accent made it sound cooler~!! I love it~!! so, American, done of course, Germany cast, done, Japanese, done, British, done... what's next on my list of Wicked casts around the world?

  • @HPfanatic4ever Dutch? Haha, it's almost like German but slightly different... Though we have the same actress for Elphaba.

  • there voices have been tuned. you can tell

  • @megamerryn No they haven't its a live show and that is exactly how the sound in the show. They put on funny voices thats part of the show......

  • "you really don't have to do that" WICKED!! haven't even seen this

  • The 12 people who disliked are CRAZY! I saw this live in london and it was so funny and so emotional!

  • im seeing wicked live (For the first time! jdksgjks!!!!) in london this december and watching this video just makes me more excited. both of them are so great.

  • These 2 are amazing, kill the yank version

  • i love Louise Dearman! I saw her live on London, victoria, Apollo! THe best!

  • ha. Elphie's expressions are priceless.

  • bloody moody audience. this is a really funny scene and they just stare -_-

  • I love glinda! I saw these 2 twice. Glinda was my favourite both times <3

  • there will never be another Kristin and Indina...they were born to do those roles

  • rachel tucker is beautiful

  • shes a little annoying isnt she?!

  • @HeyySadie Thats the point. Thats what makes it funny. Don't judge until you've been and seen them for real.

  • @filmachimina1 erm calm down it was a joke . don't be getting emoosh ;p

  • This elphaba is pretty hot

  • she sounds like some rumpleteazer from cats :D

  • ahhhhhhhh Tuckman ♥ never get tired off watchin this performance :D ♥

  • Comment removed

  • @yvanqwerty and kinda creepy!!!

  • @yvanqwerty Yeah and thats what makes her so funny, and why she is a lot of people's favorite Glinda. You can't judge from this short part, you have to see the show before you can comment about someone like that. She's obviously loved by that audience as when I saw her everyone was in hysterics.

  • Sounds to British

  • @yellowfizzle It sounds too british? It's the west end?

  • @fairydung i changed my mind after seeing these two at the west end, they are amazing and glinda is so funny.

  • She is just fabulous!!! Love it!!!

  • God. Her voice is annoying. No offense. Haha.

  • @TheHannahBanana100 That is the point....

  • I like it (; It's different, but it's quiet good (;

  • Katie!!! Not this!...

  • glindas voice is annoying in this.

  • i prefer the american one...with idina and kristin.

  • @IWANTY0UBLEEDERS IKR! Glinda is totally UGHHRRRRR!!

  • Do english people have no sense of humor?

  • @cupcakelove17 stfu im english, this is just some crappy crowd.

  • @cupcakelove17 That take out the audience noise so it doesn't spoil it for the TV viewers.

  • The accent was different to hear, but it was awesome👍❕

  • Yeah i agree , i don't like this with the english accents and i'm british . I much prefer the american cast .

  • I'm English, but prefer this with American accents. Still, can't be helped.

  • They hav to put on a really strong English accent, rachel is Irish :/ and i would like to see you do a better job. :L

  • Every performance I've seen of this song from the London actresses has made me feel Galinda is touched in the head.

  • What is "pop-u-laaa"?

  • @demothenes89 That is how we pronounce it in England. Its the accent and also part of the show.....Not every country does it the same.

  • Dear Jesus, this sounds horrible with British accents.

  • I love how Rachel Tucker says, "You really don't have to do that," at the beginning. So funny! :)

  • Haha, I love her absolutely British 'Well, are'. I saw them live twice, the first time I saw 'Popular' she was really good, but the second time she was absolutely fan-tas-tic, she was sooo funny, had the whole theater laughing.

  • WOOOOOOO TEAM TUCKMAN!!!! <3

  • For all of you still saying Kristin and Idina were the best please tell me how many of you actually saw both of them live? In this show? Not on youtube or from the cast recording.

  • This Glinda is CREEPY. She's trying to play it just like Kristen, but it's just coming off wrong.

  • @lerhemichelle No she isnt. Louise is completley different and a better singer. She couldnt be more diferent from Kristen. Louise is awsome but i love kristen she just isnt glinda for me

  • @lerhemichelle Wrong, she's trying to play it like Dianne Pilkington...and she's got it dead wrong. Her voice is incredible though.

  • @WickedProductions100 She's not trying to be like her.... maybe she might have been inspired by her but she's not trying to be like her.....

  • @lerhemichelle she is a professional actress with a main role in a blockbuster musical. she is not "trying" to do anything.

  • @ssggrock because she got the part doesnt mean shes not trying to be like Kristin, i mean why wouldn't she want to be as good as her. she was the original and best glinda! so go watch Kristin and idina and come back and say she isnt acting like her :).

  • @bradleyy2kaii8 actually i admit that obviously: kristin>louise dearman, but idina<rache tucker

  • @bradleyy2kaii8 .... watch Kristin and Idina and if you can get your ears fixed after Idina's out of tune, scratchy top notes and Kristin's nasally tone (although, I do like Kristin's acting), go and listen to Rachel Tucker's defying gravity and bath your ears with her rich and balmy voice and Louise Dearman's belted notes in No one mourns the wicked (DIIEE ALLOONE...) or Thank Goodness... No offense to Kristin, but the London cast is way better than the OBC

  • @fl0ryan i actually think idina sang really well when they performed at the tonys it sounded awesome she wouldnt have got the part if she couldnt sing and also she wouldnt be on glee! kristin on the other hand who cant love her she was also on glee they are both superstar and you shouldnt disrespect them by saying that.

  • @fl0ryan Idina has asthma... she can't help it if her voice turns out like that though. Her Tony Award performance for example sounded loud, pitchy, and stuff because she had an asthma attack RIGHT before she went on. She's usually out of breath yeah but she tries her best to carry on with the show.

  • I'm British but I can't stand this song in a British accent. I like Glinda being all preppy and American.

  • i watched them live, they were awesome!!!!

  • So glad i had the stand in actresses for this., They were much better.

  • this is shit compared to idina menzel and kirsten chenoweth

  • they look a little old to be in college...

  • @Madiilovesyaa hahahahaha

  • Saw these on the West End, and they were great... hoping this was a bad day :S

  • I do not like this one! Indina en Kristen are the best!

  • I've only seen clips from the Broadway show, but this Glinda isn't half bad :)

  • Ive seen it on broadway a few times and it is so weird seing it with the accents! It is still great though!

  • woah its weird seeing it in australia and then seeing it in england =)

  • people saying Louise is annoying...i also though she would be..but after seeing the show..she was very very good...not like Kristin who's nasally high pitch natural voice is annoying. and as far as i remember, the audience were all delighted and more than satisfied with all the actors/actress performance..so if you haven't seen the show live with Rachel and Louise, then shut the fuck up...and i don't get those people making a big deal about the non-rhotic r in British English..

  • @fernmeio18 Dearest, I think I love you.

  • @fernmeio18

haha this comment is spot on!

seen it myself and they are amazing!

    well said

  • Best G(a)linda ever!!! One more month on this day its been a year since I saw wicked! 13.10.10 amazing day!! Xx

  • she is actually really good :) i still think Dianne is better but im guite impressed

  • Oh God her voice is too annoying. I miss Kristen : (

  • Going to see this for my birthday september 24th :D So excited!

  • LOL Popula

  • just saw this last night in Apollo Victoria Theatre in London, it was awesome

  • Personally I prefer the Westend 2011 version to the Broadway original: the two main actresses just have perfect voices to their roles, which make the characters alive. Also, it is a musical: you can hardly see what their exact look like if you are actually seated in the theatre. No idea of what is fuss about the accent: that is "English" though.

  • @popxag Agreed. I saw Wicked on West end 2011, with Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker and I think it was amazing. And I honestly think it's better than Broadway with Kristin and Idina. And the accent, it's their way of speaking.

  • They are too old to play that part but that's just my opinion and the accent sounds funny with it, but that's not their fault

  • I love the 2011 cast! Rachel Tucker and Louise Dearman's voices sound amazing together! <3333

  • Her accent doesn't suit it...

  • Guys, give the girl a break. It's completely different to act this in front of a camera then it is for a big enormous audience who all payed money and and are excited to be there...

I saw her as G(a)linda and she is very good, her voice is beautiful, the people who have seen her are going to will probably love her version of No One Mourns The Wicked!! Every Galinda is different, you can't always have it to your liking. There's only one Kristin Chenoweth ;)

Oh and Rachel is an absolute GODDESS
