  • The male Filipino nurse who looked after my father in hospital in the UK was the most caring, kind and professional nurse my family have ever encountered. Such a nice guy... this nurse told us that ever since he'd had an operation in hospital back home in the Philippines, aged only 7, he knew he wanted to work in a hospital and help others. That takes a special kind of person. Little Englander racists wonder why we have so many foreign nurses, well it's because they're bloody good at their jobs!

  • I'm proud to be a Nurse!

  • Filipina nurses are horrible. I have no issue with people who speak English with accents. But when they are not proficient enough in the language to do their job it's a major issue. When a nurse can not pronounce penicillin that can be a major problem. But at least the Filipina nurses are pleasant and hard working. The American nurses are fat, lazy, sadistic cows. They would rather spend the effort protecting their petty fiefdoms than doing their jobs. At least Filipinas are usually cute.

Siguro mayaman ka? don't be a hypocrite. U don't understand what's going on, and kahit kailan ay hindi mo mauunawaan kung hindi ka naman nurse.

  • i miss philippines... proud to be pinoy USRN..

Long Lived Makabayang DOKTOR at NURSES...

  • I repeat itong video na toh is from Dr. Willie Ong's Group of doctors na gustong manghikayat ng mga nurse at doktor na tumulong sa mga nangangailangan hinde kelangan magdebate o kung ano pa man pagtatalo dito... Itong video na toh ay ginawa para sa lahat ng nurse... respect this video as much as you respect youself as a nurse or even just a normal person na may sariling pagiisip na ang pagiging nurse ay hinde lang para kumita kundi para tumulong..

  • ang alam ko itong video ito ay para sa mga makabayang nurses ng Pilipinas kung hinde naman kayo makabayang nurse e wag na lang kayo magkomment at magexplain alam lahat ng tao na kahit sino pede pumili ng gusto kung gusto mo mgtrbaho sa ibang bayan edi sige pangarap mo yun e... pero arville taking care of people is a nurse job kahit sino pa man yan pag nangailangan e kelangan mong tugunan. paanong napasok ung gobyerno dito???

  • The caring is in their eyes. Long live the nurses of the world. We couldn't survive without them.

  • sna maging RN nko..im taking the board this november 2009....

  • Filbisaya,

RN ka ba? Kung nurse ka nga i bet you know why thousands of us are overseas, right? Pusta ko ikaw rin hinde magkanda-ugaga kung papaano makapunta sa London or sa Merika if you have the chance.

  • most nurses are not really motivated at taking care of patients, but taking care of rich patients.

  • in video 1:11 about "THE EMPIRE OF CARE" where can i read the article? just want to see nd read it,pls help me,thanks....

  • Nurses are slaves,a modern day professional slaves.they would wipe your butt, scold by doctors and by patients.

  • Idiot, its part of the job. Thats why nursing is a high paying job and also an emotionally fulfilling one. Not everybody can do it, it requires dedication and patience which I suppose you dont have. Doctors check, diagnose, prescribe and operate on patients. Nurses assist, take care and look after the patients. In short nurses do most of the healing.

LOOK UP THE MEANING OF "SLAVES" IN THE DICTIONARY, MORON.

  • arville2020.. Hospital in the provinces no longer take patients during weekends because of lack of nurses and doctors. the emergency room have a very long line and many people die in that line. now tell me, how can you say that you are emotionally fulfilling when people die while you bathe in dollars???

  • Well, wont you feel emotionally fufilled when your earning a lot of money? Joke lang hehe. Well I think one has nothing to with the other, they are getting more money abroad but they ARE taking care of the needs of their patients and it is emotionally fulfilling depending on the individual. If our local hospitals are losing them then its their fault for not giving them a more competetive salary, its not the nurses fault for they have to consider their family and future too.

  • we are a poor country. aside from we cant provide enough budget to our hospitals, many officials are extremely corrupt. not to mention the huge portion of our budget (30%) allocated to our international debt. And now you are blaming the hospitals??? i thought nurses are after at taking care of people not taking care of their pockets.

  • part 1:

    Seriously, masyado kang madrama.

If one job offers you 50k to 100k pesos salary compare to your old job that pays 15k to 30k pesos which will you choose. Mag isip ka nga. You want to shove down "nationality" down our nurses throats without considering their right to choose. As I said before they have their family and futures to consider too, and here you are trying to put the blame on the miserable state of our medical institutions on their shoulders? Mag isip ka nga.

  • part 2:

Theres a big difference between taking care of the people and taking care of the patients. Taking care of the people is the job of the goverment, taking care of patients is the job of nurses. One thing has nothing to do with the other. If our hospitals is undermanned then blame the goverment, not the nurses who is trying to live their own and their families lives as best as they can with the choices they make.

  • I totally agree with you!

  • we already get the point please stop...

  • whats the name of the song? i love this song... who sing this?

  • angels brought me here by guy sebastian n_n

  • mizzwizzban ,don't enter the nursing profession?Ummm?I'm already a nurse...so I'm already in the profession since...

and if you ain't afraid of us why can't I make a reply here, seems like you didn't want to be talked back...

we can prove ourselves and we can excel over you racists, that's coz we are better for this profession...live with it

  • yeah, we almost lost all nurses here in our country.....I think 8 out 10 newly graduates or board passer will go abroad to work for their better future.

  • what is the name of the song?

  • mizzery and scabiestiker, you two are pathetic!if the US & UK don't need Filipino Nurses, they should've stopped hiring them a long time ago! They hire them bcoz of their qualifications & skills.Guess there are smart employers who are not Racists like you two who R are intimated by fellow nurses who give u a run for the buck.Afraid of a little competition? That's why you come here in this little tribute posting your rants?

  • Listen I aint afraid of you bloody filipino assholes. Your women are bitches!. Don't enter the nursing profession please.

  • how about the males?

  • htjhtjhtesjhst

  • mizzwizzban and scabstriker stop belittling FILIPINO NURSES if both of you are NURSES also YOU don't know your NURSING ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL NURSING APPROACH.Stop racism because YOU don't OWN AMERICA or UNITED KINGDOM either...and by the way this is the right spelling of PHILIPPINES.God Bless.

  • Whats the matter? is it because the truth hurts?. We don't need you Filipinos, you people don't have a clue about what goes in in UK hospitals. You put too much pressure on student nurses and you fail them unecessary. You bastards are always backstabbing and belittling student nurses. Don't come to USA and UK. Filipino bastards!.

  • Those who don't may have experienced some form of racist abuse either by the UK/US system or white senior staff and have developed a sense of rebellion developing their own clique to fight this abuse.

  • Filipino nurses should go back to the philipines, they don't make the best nurses.

  • sounds like you lost your nursing job because of filipino nurses?

  • I reckon that you (scabstriker) are a victim of the so called ganging up. hahaha

  • Scabstriker is telling the truth!.

  • I rated your video awesome, now can you help me view my You Tube at Gaylord National-Filipino Denied Discriminated Employment due to Race and National origin as a Filipino. I need help I am denied employment at gaylord national because I am a Filipino. I have a 7 years old daughter in the Philippines now I can't support her schooling because I am denied employment here in Maryland USA because I am a Filipino. Thank you.

  • blame it on the US for not hriing your ass? GO HOME! We dont need filipino nurses coming to the states and undercutting AMERICAN nurses! How about being a real mother and GOING HOME to take care of her instead of abandoning her to come to the US and bitch about not getting hired.....I wouldnt hire a Filipino Nurse either!

  • Where I work the Filipino nurses used to speak in Tagalog. Some patients and workers complained about this. Management told them not to do that while working. Now, they can only speak it while on their breaks.

  • There are rude people. Everyone always says that. They dont think that everyone should speak English at the nurses station. Its all about them even though they come to the states on a enslavement contract for 2-3 yrs and undercut American nurses wages. I would be furious if I was ever a patient and had a filipino nurse come in my room that barely speaks English....GET OUT and GO HOME!

  • I agree with what you said. Filipinos make the worst nurses!. A lot of these student nurses have been reduced to tears because of these ruthless filipinos. These poor student nurses had to make compliants to their union and the university. Filipinos have the no idea of how the system works in British and American hospitals. The filipinos use their own system, which causes a lot of friction between the students and the nurses.

  • Its so typical, Filipino nurses speak in their own language in front of the patients and nurses. But you know what? they are speaking nasty about the nurses and students. If these Filipinos don't like how the system works in UK and USA hospital. They better fuck off back to the Philipines!.

  • True, filipino nurses sometimes speak their own language in front of other staff simply because it is awkward to converse in English with a fellow Filipino. It is wrong and most Filipino Nurses that I know of converse in English infront of patients and staff as part of their professional approach to Nursing.

  • fuck you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i suppose we have to be proud of filipino nurses. bayani nga tawag sa kanila, i ho ba? i have encountered this girl Diana3344 here sa you tube according to her kahit anong klasseng nurse kapa, specialization and all TAGA HUGAS LANG TALAGA NG PUWIT NG MGA BANYAGA ANG MGA FILIPINO NURSES. ganyan naba ka baba ang dangal ng mga filipino nurses? nakaka hiya nga ba ang trabaho ng isang nurse? isa bang mababang profession ang nurse?

  • this is indeed a very touching video. i will always be proud to be a filipino nurse. i salute all the nurses saving lives throughout the world..mabuhay ang filipino!!!

  • I'm not Filipino but I have some Filipino Friends. The funny thing is that all their mom's are nurses. I think it's a very popular field for Filipino Women.Except all my filipino friends choose Business or Music as their College Undergrad and not nursing

  • bullshit

  • Filipino Nurses are the best! I'm proud I am a Filipino Nurse! :)

  • Filipino nurses are known to be caring, mabait, at masunurin... i just hope they go back to philippines so that fellow filipinos can also feel their warmth... pls come to public hospitals in the philippines and see how long the line of patients and how many die just because of lack of nurses and doctors...

  • Thanks a lot for the tribute!!!fellow filipino nurses, keep up the good work!!!!

  • More and more health care facilities now in the us that filipinos are seating in the administrative chair because they are not only rn but also BSN. LOL

  • haha, your an idiot is you really think there arent hardly any American RN's that have their BSN....you hearing from one right now! Try getting your ass in a administrative postion any where other than California...it wont happen. Know why? B/c you guys barely speak English and when you do it's all broken up....just read the posts on here...most of you cant even spell correctly. Also, you gang up on anyone that isnt filipino...you ignore people and refuse to speak english at the nurses station!

  • Hey scabstriker, you're just a sick f--k. You don't have anything better to do? People who watch this tribute, watch it because it is meaningful. You watch it because you are sick. Get help...or beg someone to like you. Maybe that is all you need you damn racist!

  • the truth hurts im sure. you guys are the racist ones. ask anyone about how filipino nurses act towards any other nurses in California. The women are very bitchy! And I'd beg to differ that the BSN training in the philipines is as good or better than American schools....haha That's hilarious!

  • I apologize for the filipino people. we are not rude, unfortunately it happens that you got to interact with those who were rude. I believe that we filipino RNs are the most caring and hospitable nurses arouund. It is true that our BSN training isnt as good as with the standards of the US or any other country. But what sets the line is that we are compassionate and caring in nature and I think thats why we are all over the world-a proof that we have the merit and capabilities of a good nurse.

  • I'll add up to this. We are not always after the money. IF ONLY.. IF ONLY the pay in the Philippines is as good as here in the USA, then I'll beget that most filipino nurses wouldn't leave our beloved country. trust me, we are the most hospitable, most caring nurses you would ever meet.

  • scabstriker.....hahaha o bug-bug ka ano? i dont need to speak english here. im not in america anyway! hehehe

  • the american government opened the door for filipino nurses because most of the the american nurses are lazy. They are just good in goin out for breaks, not all tho but most o0f you scabstriker. LOL filipino nurses are way better in grammar than "ass RN"(two years in studies, acting like they know everyting. LOL filipinos are "BSN" 4 to 5 years in studies.

  • Hey, why so hateful man? Are you a nurse, where and how long you've been a nurse anyway?

You should go to your manager or head nurse and let her/him know about your feelings toward Filipino RN's. You guys should have a dialogue and I can only imagine how hard it is to work with this kind of working environment. Respect begets respect.

  • dont be so mean. they not doing wrong to you. people are not as bad as u think . Even how much u want to help other people u have to think of yourself first. salary in philippines is too small for you to imagine because were 3rd world country. its hard to work outside your own country but an opportunity will help a lot

  • You're a f@#$@% nurse? You need help...counseling. All Filipino nurses speak English proficiently. It is a gift and a skill to be able to speak another language...I do. Not all Filipino nurses are timid and take shit from administration or anyone like you. Mean nurses come in all colors, you're just a racist! Your wage is based on your education, experience, special skills, certifications, tenure, and location. Oh, I'm proud to be an American...Filipino American.

  • some o dem nurses were fit. music - gay

  • Awesome video! It certainly welded tears from my eyes, and made me just so proud to be a Filipina Nurse. : ) More power to all nurses! Our master creator gave us this unique opportunity to care with our hearts and hands. Let's make Him proud as we care for our patients! God bless!

  • degrading for nurses - stereotypical media depiction of nurses as angels of mercy or uneducated handmaidens.

  • amazing! what's the title of the song?anyone?thnx!

  • Thanks. Song title is "Angels Brought Me Here" as performed by Guy Sebastian.

  • gaganda talaga ng mga pinay nurse mmmwah!

  • really touching especially the last line. Im proud to be a Filipino nurse! As long as I know that I am doing the right thing, NOTHING can make my spirit down.

  • God bless nurses and give them more power to serve the needy.

    Ram Bharati, Filmmaker

  • salamat sa pagpapahalaga..naiyak ako

  • great vid...thanks

  • Salute to Filipino nurses!! Stop the discrimination issues...Even Filipinos discriminate Filipinos!!!

  • I enjoyed this video...touching indeed.

  • go Pinoy nurses!!!

  • Aye, it's a very touching video. May the spirit of Pinoy nurses, and other nurses as well, ring ever-proud to be in a field of compassion and caring. God Bless.

  • what a touching video!Filipino nurses abroad has to suffer from discrimination and feeling of loneliness just to make their dreams come true.More of this kind of video intended for Gloria Arroyo for her see and do everything to stop graft and corruption so the country can prosper, benefitting not only the wealthy but especially the struggling ones!!

  • Being an immigrant myself to Canada, I understand that the intense pain one feels by being separated from one's family and homeland for a better life elsewhere. Just remember that immigrant health care workers can be any race - White, black, brown, or other colors. Having faced racism myself, I find a video dedicated to just one race rather unsettling.

  • May I request that we stop all this issue about racism? This video is not about it and it does not stop other groups from making their video tribute. The popularity of an Indian actor in Bollywood does not equate to racism just because any other race can be actors and should be equally popular.

  • That is true, but I also know lots of caucasion people who have immigrated to my place (Canada) to fill a nursing shortage. Nurses, like all professionals, should be judged by the quality of thier service to the public, and not by thier race.

  • Let me clarify that while this video was intended to focus on the Filipino nurses, nowhere in the video was there any reference to racial comparisons nor was there any degrading of nurses from other race-ethnic origin. I cannot understand how one jumps to the issue of "racism" from this video, unless there is already some subconscious oversensitivity that led to "reading so much more than what is written".

  • I consider ALL nurses as god-sent angels who do their difficult jobs the best way they can. But the point of this tribute made particularly for Filipino nurses stems from the fact that many Filipino nurses have chosen to work elsewhere because of socio-economic reasons while the Philippines is suffering from a severe shortage of healthcare providers.

  • I work here in the US and have had the honor and pleasure of working with many Pinoy nurses. Their loyalty and dedication is admirable. They have been a God Send in an area where there is a shortage of RN's. Wonderful video. I will be sure to share with my phillipino nurse friends.

  • Thanks qizabeth! cheers!

  • I still don't understand how one's race would make one a more loyal or dedicated nurse. I have met great nurses from all sorts of racial backgrounds.

  • Raindreamer,

It isn't about their race. The point of my post was the current shortage of RN's here in America. I have had the pleasure to work with many Pinoy nurses who came to this country because we had positions in the nursing field, and they had the skills we needed.

  • The only way to bring Filipino nurses back home is to overthrow the current Philipines government and establish one with integrity. Corruption is what is driving nurses (and other filipinos) away from the country.

  • Filipino Nurses....Simply the world's best!!!

  • Isn't that bit of racist comment to make ? Why would one's race make one any better or any worse of a nurse? The best nurses are skilled and who give thier all to the profession, regardless of what race or sex they may be.

  • nice! trully a filipino nurses an angel sent from above!

  • true angel of sick room
