Hi, yes, you can use crepe paper from a party supply store, just fold it in half the long way to give it more stability. The Melissa Frances crepe paper is much more thick and holds better, so folding it will add some thickness to it.
Such a COOL and easy project that hopefully even "I" can make :) Anxious to try making these as embellishments on my cards, gift boxes, etc, etc...thanks for sharing this technique...LOVE it!!

omg im trying to find a real crepe paper sheet flower made out of the big piece of paper if you say crepe put streamers at the end! Great job tho
