  • i dont know wat to tell you guys i was a horror movies addictor but it ended up with a serious mental issues im not going to tell the whole story but believe it or not till now i cant sleep well and mirrors scares me, im just giving a small advise, dont watch horror everyday coz it will end up with u like me

  • So the one with Jessica Alba is a frekin remake? oh gosh I've gotta see it

  • And it was all a dream..

  • this movie is based on a true story, that's why the situations were so natural and spooky to death. I couldn't sleep well for about a month after I watched this movie 10 years ago. After few years, The Eye (Jessica Alba) came to remake this movie but I think it's a remake-fail cause the american version can't bring the asian horror feeling into west culture as the story was happened in Asia.

  • i have seen this hunddred times and i still love it

  • I caught this on cable one night and loved it! The ending to this movie was so much scarier and horrific than the American remake. I was disappointed when I saw the remake ending.

  • I always find the Asian original scaryer as the American remakes...

  • 1:35 creepy subtitle gosh

  • question, whats scaryer? the american version or HK? usual the original is scarier but to me when it came to the ring i felt that the remake was scaryer O.o..

  • fake

  • Good movie, i really liked it :)

  • 0:17 huurrrrrpeduurp

  • is it in english? i really want to watch this one, not the remake, does it have subtitles?

  • oh... my... EYE! *__*

  • asians horror movies are the BEST!!!!!

  • the ending with the explosion in slow mo was one of the most amazing scenes i've seen in a film. i love this movie

  • I'm not big on horror movies, but this is one of the best horror flicks ever. Don't waste your time watching the U.S. POS version. This is the one you want. The elevator scene is one of the creepiest things ever!

  • comedy

  • the beggining made me jump

  • @pholianah LOL made u jump... i had headphones in and the volume was wayy up, scared the crap out of me lol

  • asian horror is the best

  • @Mastosky its cuz ur asian :) all asians say that ofc.. -- But not totally true

  • @Mastosky it's the best and scariest. They are really good at that.

  • @canclerx93: Yes, others horror like the french are good too, but more about splatter or in violence. The asian one is more psychological

  • @Mastosky Indeed it is.

  • Is this based on the story Black Fairy Tale?

  • @Jklsays101 ....no, "The Eye" was inspired by a HK newspaper article about a young 16 year old girl, who after receiving a corneal transplant, committed suicide shortly afterwards. No one knows why the girl killed herself, but the Pang brothers wondered if it was something she saw......hence the inspiration.

  • @geekeing ohhhhh. wow that's scary o.o

  • I've seen about a hundred of horror movies and this remains the scariest of them all. too bad some idiot made a shitty remake with jesicca alba which can be mistaken by people.

  • Download link any one :-)?

  • @kristyred981 why dont you buy the movie ? it is only selling for 2 pounds on amazon uk ?

  • @MultiCatlover01 Cause it takes really long time for them to ship it to Serbia...

  • @rellalita93

Actually that would be the other way around, this movie came first .

The Eye starring Jessica Alba, was a remake of this movie...for America.

Just like the Grudge and the Ring.

  • @rellalita93 actually dude it is the jessica alba movie that is rip off . this movie came 4 years before the american one .are you blind ? :P

  • @rellalita93 ....this version of "The Eye" came out: May 9, 2002 (Hong Kong).....June 27, 2002 (Singapore). The Jessica Alba version came out in February 1, 2008. BTW, Jessica Alba was nominated for a Razzie Award in Worst Actress category.

  • DAMN ASIA YOU SCARY!

  • @imsljr420 wow really u thought that was scary u should try pulse the japanese version its messed up

  • @meganification17 type in at google tube+

  • for me, this is the best horror movie I've watched! i watched it several times and i didn't finish it because i was really scared. but i was only able to finish it because i red the plot. lol :D

  • Jesus H. Christ! This looks horrifying! How ironic that the more horrifying a movie is, the more I want to see it. Instead of being the other way around. O.o

  • @ErickHerrera93

I think it's because we get a lot of excitment and pleasure from seeing things that are very different and shocking. Our attention always goes out to the most interessting stuff.

  • this movie with angolina jolie is much better

  • @KusMelody You mean Jessica Alba right?

  • @KusMelody .....you think so? Curious as the general consensus of critics was the Jessica Alba version was inferior to the original, strong negative reviews and Jessica Alba was nominated for a Razzie Award for Worst Actress because of this movie.

  • fuckin freaky

  • this movie is NOT scary....but it has a really really good plot though.

  • the american one sucked don't watch..

  • @MyOnlyLoveMusic

Who the hell would want to watch a flimsy flake like Jessica Alba replace the beautifully talented actress from the incredible original? I'll tell you who - Idiot Americans.

  • meh

  • @Singerchiq11.. Yes, its 'shutter'... There's another thai movie called 'body #19'... i recommend u to watch this... Two thumbs up for this one.. :-D

  • Yess... People... Ive watched this movie like a zillion times.. :-D... I recommend u to watch this version... One of my fav scary movies...

  • Been researching underrated scary movies. Ill ask you guys. Ive been told to buy The Eye(this version) and A tale of two sisters. If you have seen them and recommend either let me know. Thanks.

  • @MMAGuru08 i've seen them both! i'm a die hard fan of korean movies but i gotta say that "the eye" is a lot lot better than "A tale of two sisters". The eye have this kinda jaw-dropping scene, while the tale of two sisters is just a dull common horror story. And the other bad thing about the tale of two sisters is its more of conversations than suspense and action.

well, thats only my opinion! :)

PS: you should watch "the doll master". its freaky. :o

  • @cookiemonsterisheart Thank you. Ill check out the doll master also. Someone recommended Shutter. I watched it and really enjoyed it. Where would that rank with the eye?

  • @cookiemonsterisheart ...please pardon my nitpicking but "The Eye" is not a Korean production, rather it is a Hong Kong/Singapore production. But this is a very common mistake as there are very few Chinese horror movies out in comparsion with J-Horror and K-Horror.

  • @geekeing Oh I know it is not korean. i do know and can actually understand the korean language, I am talking about the tale of two sister which is a korean production. As i said, i'm a die hard fan of korean movies BUT i gotta say that "the eye" is a lot lot better than "A tale of two sisters". :D

  • @cookiemonsterisheart ....understood. Your comment implied "The Eye" is also Korean and I felt it best it be clarified that it isn't. There are so many who mix up Korean for Japanese or Chinese for Japanese or Korean. I once read a comment who thought a Chinese girl's grandfather must have fought for the Japanese at Pearl Harbor and when challenged insisted it was possible!....lol.... I often wonder....do these same people mix up British for Scot or for Irish?

  • @MMAGuru08 ....I strongly recommend purchasing both "The Eye" and " A Tale of Two Sisters". Both are very dramatic and suspenseful, good directoring. More cerebral than cheap blood and gore.

  • @geekeing i bought both movies together .and i must say i am so much happy :) i did

  • @MultiCatlover01 ...you have excellent judgement and taste.....:-)

    Success in all you undertake.

  • im 14 years old and im actually freaked out to see the trailer or the movie, and im so curious to see it!!!!!:(((

  • i remember this movie! only the one with jessica alba. that one was scary. but this one is scary too. but......?

  • asian people freaks me out

  • is dia frampton in this movie?

  • where can i watchthis version. when i search "the eye" all that comes up is the jessica alba one which because its an american horror i'm assuming its stupid

  • Comment removed

  • @ukillme2death ...how is that ironic?

  • just for the record. there is a real ghost in this film.. the scene while she's inside e train.. behind her.

  • I want to see this one so bad, but I can't find it. I've seen the other ones tho.

  • Theres this movie about this guy who is being haunted by this Asian girl he used to date. The guy broke things off with her. She was mad, and started stalking him, so him and his friends did something to her and she died. The movie has alot to do with pictures. In the pictures of him, there are white spots in it. The guy gets neck and back pains, and his picture is taken. In the picture you see the dead Asian girl in his body with her head leaning to the right or left. Know the name of it?

  • @Singerchiq11 Hmmm...the only movie I can think of is "Shutter", a well-known horror movie in Thailand.

  • @Singerchiq11 shutter

  • @xxKuro1OMG OMG YAY!!!! you are super awesome! I've been trying to remember that for like 3 years!!!! Thx so much!

  • @Singerchiq11 am glad i helped

  • @Singerchiq11 ...the movie you are referring to is "Shutter", a 2004 Thai horror movie. A very excellent movie with some fresh ideas.

  • @Singerchiq11 ...you're thinking of "Shutter". But since you made reference to the girl being Asian, it seems you're asking about the 2008 American remake of the original 2004 Thai movie.

  • This looks scary as hell. Hmm..

  • asians and general fucking scares me

  • the elevator scene was the scariest for me..... :S

  • Yawn. .

  • so, was this the original or the USA version is the original?

  • @ponky011 When is Hollywood ever original? Almost all the good horror movies are Asian re-makes. No offense to the folks of America but if Hollywood is good at one thing it's copying other people's shit...

  • @Aches86 lol

  • You guys should mute the sound!

  • This movie reminded me of Midnight Movie: The Killer Cut. Has anyone seen it? I almost had a panic attack when Ted Radford jumped out of the movie screen. Even though I tend to like Asian horror movies more, Midnight Movie was pretty great.

  • Bellissimo film!!

  • Isn't this an thriller ?

  • @tamppi777 . Its not a thriller its a horror. :P

  • i had the volume turned high at the beginning

  • @badgirlsclubashley dont watch that shitty american version, its awful. this however is one of the best horror films i've seen in a long time.

  • @darklinkwillkill666 its better the american

  • @ponky011 The Asian version was the original. I remember watching this when I was seven-years old and I freaked out.

  • @badgirlsclubashley well yea cause u were looking at a diff version of this movie cause jessica alba is in the american version while this one is asian

  • I've seen the movie the ending made me cry

  • Asians got serious fking good horror movie.

  • asians know how to make good scary movies...

  • @bostongurl32 If The Philippines Make Some Like This, Will You All Love It Or You Love American Remake More..

  • @kaixa913100 ???? Why compared?

  • @kaixa913100 Don't know, we'd have to watch it first to see :/

But even if they did make a remake of it, the Asian one would still be better more than likely since it was the original version. :/

  • @bostongurl32 It must be something in the water.

  • @bostongurl32 and commercials! :D

  • @bostongurl32 they also make good video games!

  • 1:29 is nice

  • Comment removed

  • this movie is based on true story right? (the one of japan)

  • @TheHongoBros ...not quite a true story, but you're close. The Pang brothers saw an Hong Kong newspaper article about a 16-year-old girl who had received a corneal transplant and committed suicide soon after. It was never disclosed why the girl choose to die, but the sad incident did inspire the plot device. By the way "The Eye" is not a Japanese movie, rather it is a Chinese production: Singapore/Hong Kong.

  • @geekeing oh thanks hehe you are right it chinese

  • the jap is the best the usa one sucks

  • Nice and scary ! )) cooooool

  • so scary .. in elevator scene ! wew !

  • 0:33 is that G-man?

  • 1:31 WTF?

  • Are you all stupid? this this the Chinese version with some English guy in the background. Not the remade version!

  • @siy07

    there is another THE EYE..

    but in american version..

  • @MrShamizie i know there is dude, thats why i said "not the remade version" which is the american one with Jessica Alba however like i said this is the chinese version with an english guy in the background, there isnt any english in this movie... So just making the point its misleading

  • @siy07 thats why i said its not the remade version. I already know that!

  • O.k, the U.S.A copies these movies because they want americans to see these kinds of movies to, but most American people won't understand the Asian horror movies because their not from Asia so they dont know the history of it or something...anyway, i do agre that SOME American horror movies are funny, but some are scary as hell.America modernizes everything..there! A perfect way to explain it.

  • @MrTWISTEDHUMORable I agree. American version are usually simpler to understand, but that's not even the most important thing. Most people want to understand what they're listening to. Like director Pete Riski once said, the english/american language is best for horror movies, because nearly everybody knows what it sounds like. You can't say: "shing hao huolu huulao" and expect everyone to find it just as powerful as: "We're not alone..."

  • @MrTWISTEDHUMORable You don't have to come from Asia to understand Asian movies. Some of the Asian movies are quite basic and predictable.

  • @Raider577 Yeah, like most horror movies. u dont need to understand the language to get whats going on.theres a monster, a ghost, a spirit, someone is bieng chased, their scared, in the end, they die.Pretty much all horror movies are the same.in all languages. The Eye was different though, it kept me guessing till the end.

  • asian horror movies are the best. american horror movies are funny and ridiculous. not scary at all. only blood and stuffs. american horror movies are big jokes.

  • @krystal3091 oh so the original excorsist from 1973 was a big joke? get a life.

  • The reason why Asian horror movies have a different feel to them is because most of them are based on real Asian folklore and something similar did happen in real life. Like Shutter and Ghost of Mae Nak, those are both things I heard about waaay before any of the movies came out. And yes, I'm Thai.

  • @66SiK So true!! Asians believe in Karma and practice Shaman or Buddha. Nothing beats Japanese/Chinese/Korean/Thai Horror movies.

  • i liked the one with jessica alba but this one is terrifying!

  • the eye... of nye ...

  • its was so scary the elevetaor part it really creeps me out..

  • @TokenssRS I think it was an ASIAN gang or something. (cable guy)

  • much better than the American one, all though the guy in the lift looks scarier in that one than the Asian one. But that scene is more suspenseful in this version (lose you?) which is good :)

  • 1:05 scared the crap out of me wuahah

  • i wish i coulda seen the asian version! it looks pretty sweet!

  • is this like Grudge? should i watch this :s

  • american version is better.

  • haha eng=scary in dutch

  • this movie just had shit popping out at u. it was annoying as shit

  • Comment removed

  • I like heard scary music and was like crap turning off lol x

  • It looks pretty fucking lame

  • i've got scared at 0:00 O_o

  • @Filiphiles LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL omg u made my day

  • @Filiphiles ME TOO

  • I love all the hate by the chinks on this video

  • I work night shift at a hospital and shiiiiiiit whenever I happen to take the elevator alone I'm always reminded of the 'elevator scene'.

  • isint there a nother movie of the eye

  • @TheShadow111111the

They have the Eye 2 and 3 on Fearnet.com right now

  • Is this a remake of a dfferent one or something? and if so is it american? because there is an english one snt there with jessica alba...

  • @CoolJessie74 this is the original version of the film. Hollywood, as usual, remade it and created an inferior version (in my opinion)

  • whut? asian movie sucks

  • @kak97 hollywood sucks

  • lets just u BOTH are copying each other, and as bad as one another, so there! argument solve! lol...

  • the sounds are kinda like fatal frame

  • What is that blueish greyish monster thing that looks like an Alien? Some one please tell me!

  • 41 seconds into the trailer, and I'm already screaming.

  • how do i get the whole video????

  • best terror movie ever.

  • It was very scary film. Tha Asina Horror films are much better than the American copies.

  • Loved this film, when I first saw it on Film4, then bought it. Another I saw, which was the US version ( cant buy the world cinema version) is Shutter, as its only released on region 1 (boo hoo!)

  • that is just fesent!!

  • This is on Film4 tonight/tomorrow morning in the UK :)

  • @SamuelH105 watching it now haha

  • @melia1101 Haha lol. I enjoyed it :)

  • This movie is so scary . Saw it in grade one wasn't scared . Now I am such a scardy cat!!!!! Like what happend to me

  • @123hhheee same thing happen to me..before this i can watch horror movie proudly coz i'm not scared but now..i feel like 5 years old that scared with everything...

  • Watched this yesterday only two scenes scared the crap out of me....But the scariest one actually made me cry....:OThe scene where a ghost says ''why are you sitting on my chair?'' that whole scene made me cry my eyes out from fear! :O But I gotta admit it was a awsome movie!

  • this is WAY scarier than the American version.. they shouldn't even try and beat the Asian horrors ;D

  • Asian movies make me fall asleep....

  • Ohhh I think I'll watch this one soon ;)

  • Yep, all those top horror movies come from Asia! But I can't explain exactly why we find them terryfiing and usa movies not.

  • TRANSFORMERS

  • this is the original one,the one wif jessica alba is the remake version.
