I just completed my perfect low level run through Chrono Trigger, and over all, I'm shocked at how easy CT actually is.
Nizbel 2 is actually the most difficult boss in the game relative to the gear you have when you get to him. Lavos' second form is the only thing that comes close in relative difficulty, and that's just because Lavos uses consecutive "2k dmg to everyone" moves..
Yeah. You're pretty good at this game. You know, like 3 days before this vid was made, I did exactly the same things you did in this battle. But yeah, after 3 Lightnings he weaks down a bit
this vid takes the mik a bit cos when i got to nizbel i had excedingly high levels id traind for ages and got to a reasanable level and lernd quite a few useful lightning teqniques and i heal'd alot aswell but i could still never defete him as easly as that !
I used to battle with myself over what was the best game: FFVI or CT.
This vid settles it once and for all...FFVI. CT has an involving storyline and all these personality-filled animations, but trying a handicapped game reveals so many ways to play FFVI and, well, only one way to get through Chrono Trigger.
Plus, this fight (did it on emulator) is more insanely tedious than anything in FFVI. At least you can shut off the tube while waiting out a boss' MP.
thats y CT llg are so much fun, both games are fun on a llg, but CT is harder, and if your doin an llg your doin it for the diffuculty, rarly just cuss u want to.
Both LLG's are pretty difficult. Most of the other LLGs are kinda easy in comparison. CT has so many more drawn out battles. FF6 is much less 'attack pattern' oriented and the battles rely insanely on preperation. Crono Trigger's bosses, while preperation is still important, are all very dependent on execution.
Truly two different types of Low Level Games if you ask me, although FF6 gets way easy towards the end.
I could post 4 parts, but who would watch it? This edit pretty much sums the whole battle up. Use Lightning, revive Crono, have enough MP, count on luck and heal, heal, heal a lot.
That's what happened to the 3 videos against Slash. It's too bad the second one (which 5 people out of 50 watched) was actually the most interesting and intense part.

Neither LLG is all that hard, but in CT there are far more tedious bosses. In FFVI, there's more chance to throw in additional restrictions too.
