It may be early to say this but the future of the Hitman series as we know it is now over. Hitman Absolution, although looks visually stunning, based on the E3 footage, seems to be linear and has broken away from the tradtions and spriit of what made playing Hitman unique, Another downer is that David Bateson (the voice, motion capture and Image), Vivienne McKee (voice of Diana) and Jesper Kyd (games composer) who were in the all the previous games, were dropped from the franchise.

If I had to give a reason as to why someone picked this song it would be because of the peaceful nature. From time to time dissonant serenity is used to punctuate a rather harsh scene in the viewers mind, the contrast of the peaceful song with a rather brutal scene of war, suffering and/or death, etc serves to emphasize certain things, perhaps in this case killers personal serenity when taking a life. I'm just making this answer up as I go along, but it's possibly a reason for it.

@DhrKlaasma that is the point; the contrast between what the song represent and what the hitman does in the last level. in my opinion this is one of the most artistic thing I saw in games. it also fits with the church, the suits they are all bearing

@DhrKlaasma I think what you don't understand is that blood money is a sequel to the second game. In the second game, Agent 47 invests vasts amounts of money in the church and helps a priest. The idea (for me at least) is that 47 ultimately makes peace with those he kills. He doesn't kill out of hatred but because that is what he was made to do. He knows that and cherishes that.
