I think EACH kiss/ex-kiss guitairist's had their own ups and downs. But you listen to the solo stuff of VV and Mark St. John, they were both too much for KISS. Ace, Bruce and Tommy fit way better. But to each their own!
Look, Ace inspired me to play but you cant actually say that hes the best. There were a lot of better players in that era too so dont say that he was the best of his time.
@gmrios "Musical" isn't the right word given what you're trying to say. Your trying to say Vinnie overplays or something, but that doesn't make it any less musical. Ace is perhaps more song oriented and definitely bluesier however.

I'm a big fan of ACE, and I think that he is the heart of KISS,... and I also think that he is the greatest guitarist KISS ever had.
Bruce Kulick, Mark St. John, and Vinnie were great guitarist too, but nobody is like ACE
Lokar92 4 years ago
I prefer Ace but Vinnie is so good. He is a far superior player.

Diferent styles. I like both them.

He's just faster. Ace is way more musical. Vinne solo's like an auctioneer.
