  • The religious are delusional, all.

  • I'm curious. Who named the video? Was it the guy doing the interview? Boasting? If it was, and he speaks as if he doesn't lie, who determined he "owned" the Christian? Himself? If that's the case, then the Christian kid is right about believing the Bible is true. If he determines it, then he's right. I believe the Bible is true. And it says "whoever denies ME before men, him I will deny before MY Father in heaven." And because God determined it, the cameraman will be in hell one day, God bless!

  • nice discussion

i wish more ppl were reasonable like this

btw he doesnt really get owned...misleading title

  • At least the guy answering the questions was cool, calm and respectful unlike most religious people and i really really appreciate that.

  • he said bosom lol

  • @polscistudent you're viewpoint is always going to seem more plausible when you're interviewing ignorant, unprepared, or uneducated people. i think your videos would be more impressive and/or convincing if you were asking people who were better equipped philosophically to defend there worldview. obviously you've done your homework, and obviously a large majority of Christians are religious robots with no philosophical framework, BUT that's not always the case. interview someone educated.

  • SInce an agnostic knows the scripture so well, why does he have to grill someone on the Bible?

  • @jimu57 Hes grilling these guys because most christians are so sure and passionate about the bible and claim to live their lives by it but most wont even question the contradictions and nonsensical stories that come from it. That passage that he got the guy to read out was directing people to stone to death non believers, but "thou shall not kill" is a commandment. Its almost as if you have to cherry pick from the bible. Hes just pointing out these contradictions

  • @chunktruck There is no commandment that says to not kill. It is to not commit murder. That is a diffference.

  • At least this Christian is honest and actually read's the Bible considering 95% (according to polls) never even read the Bible. The next thing this guy needs to do is actually study/examine the Bible to realize it's all completely bullshit.

  • ok where do all these talks happen? i would love to be apart of this too lol

  • This video should be renamed as: Man holding a camera being an asshole

  • Why Would a Christian Follow the Torah or anything from the Tanakh? Christ spoke against that Yehudim Rubbish why do you think they wanted him Dead and celebrated his death as proof that he was not God and still use that reasoning. According to my Israeli Jew buddy he says the Old Testament is a lot of mistranslation from the Hebrew Tanakh

  • Thank for these videos man, i am glad people, other than myself, are out there questioning these things...We should question EVERYTHING...

  • dude, i would love to meet you. you sound like a really awesome person. i feel like we would have really interesting convos...if more people thought the way you do, we would be much happier and safer as a race of human beings.

  • i love your vids man they are great.

  • Ancient Judaism sounds like modern day radical Islam

  • Politicians would never have a nice, conversation-like discussion like this

  • :40 “Before I even read the Bible, I accepted Christ as my savior. Through getting to know him and spending time with his word, God’s gotten me (used?) to the Bible.”/Translation—Without doing any research, I believed in a body of religious doctrines. One of those doctrines is that the Bible is the infallible document of God’s dealings with mankind. As I’ve read the Bible through the prism of that doctrinal belief, I’ve seen the Bible is the infallible document of God’s dealings with mankind.

  • I really enjoyed watching these videos. Thumbs up If you think he should make more videos like this one.

  • @beeeefcurtains Wow...Did you just call them(religious people) "you mindless zombie"?lol For one to automatically assume sb is "mindless zombie" just because s/he chooses to believe/disbelieve sth, isn't that judgement a bit too harsh n hasty?just wondering

  • @beeeefcurtains As an agnostic,I believe human will is more powerful than one thinks. We live in the most liberal society compared to the past when leaders,in the mame of religions, controlled many sectors of ppl's lives.Today, ppl DECIDE the definition of "selfishness, lust or greed",determine by themselves whether or not deal with it,n HOW to.True.Moral,selfless behaviors R not limited to religious ppl,but ppl just have way too different n diverse ways to better themselves.

  • Comment removed

  • Agnostic get your facts straight buddy and just remember there is a thing called faith. Lets put it this way, if you had everything guaranteed it would be way to easy and no way to prove your self to god ;)

  • @beeeefcurtains Then answer this, if religions control you then who is in control?

  • @sgprailfan Depends on the context, and sometimes it isn't a specific person. It's pretty simple. Religion regulates and restricts behavior, whether there's an authority is irrelevant. If you don't see that, then I don't know what to tell you.

  • @beeeefcurtains I see how religion can dictate behavior often but I don't see how that is controlling necessarily. For example the commandments say not to steal (I hope people have other reasons for not stealing) but we still have to make the decision not to try and get away with not paying for our groceries. When I would get letters from my church asking for money i didn't mind-lessly give my church money, I would make a decision to discarded the letter because I had enough to worry about.

  • @sgprailfan Like I said, I don't know what else to tell you. You already said it: "religion can dictate behavior." That's fucking control. It's not always going to work, but the church is sure as hell going to try to make it work. They ask for money because they know most the people in the church will feel compelled to give, as if it's a ticket to heaven. All religions are the same bullshit: give me, give me, give me, or be destroyed forever!

  • @beeeefcurtains Perhaps s/he(@sgprailfan) meant "religion can be a very important standard to one's behavior".Strong belief/disbelief does influence human decisions. They r not different to me.My disbelief in organized religions is as strong as a person who believes in a specific religion. My disbelief in a way "dictates" my judgement n behavior,so is yours.Oh,n thesedays religious figures can't sell "tickets to heaven" cuz bible is translated n many ppl r literate.Ppl can think.

  • @kugakuga One's disbelief does not dictate behavior. My disbelief in ufo's does not make me drink the blood and eat the flesh of my god. Similarly, doing [insert any "sin"] has nothing to do with my non-belief in christianity or any other religion. That's like saying I or any non believer behaves exclusively in rebellion to a specific religion rather than on their own terms. People can think. That's why mainstream religion is in decline in the industrialized world.

  • @beeeefcurtains What I meant by saying my belief/disbelief plays crucial part in human behavior is:ppl's behavioral standards(for a huge part)derive from it.Religious ppl's rituals does not take place 24/7.But one's definition of "acceptable"n "unacceptable" is constantly bein evaluated by values. For me,abortion is a choice cuz I dun think others can tell a woman what to do with her body, but for some religious ppl, human life regardless of its form,is too important to be removed

  • @beeeefcurtains In that sense,my disbelief including others',plays an important part in our judgement.I agree that disbelief is not as organized as religious beliefs, but(what I meant was) disbelief is as powerful as belief in personal life.Humans, after all,r surprisingly similar.N while mainstream religion is in decline, new religion n philosophy is invented more than ever:/

  • @beeeefcurtains U mentioned about religious ppl "drink the blood n eat the flesh of god".U r not taking it literally,I suppose?I believe symbolic rituals in the past was a powerful process of teaching in many ancient religions(cuz symbolic rituals helps mostly illiterate ppl to understand important concepts efficiently).

  • Comment removed

  • @beeeefcurtains Oh,and powerful symbols r not only used by ancient religions.Alexander the Great after conquering each city would always put paintings of victory to just instill this image of glorious, victorious hero.Advertisements today use that technique as well.(It doesn't necessarily require the concept of "sin" to be symbolic, really)

  • @kugakuga You're an idiot. I never said there weren't other powerful symbols. I never said there weren't other crazy philosophies. I never said religious people were a special kind of crazy. I said religion was created and still maintains control over people. Do religions not moderate behaviors? They did a thousand years ago and they still do. People who want to separate god from that control are idiots and have no basis in doing so.

  • @beeeefcurtains Now"Idiot" is some strong word to use, isn't it?Do u think there r better ways to communicate your points? The debate manner of yours require re-evaluation to be frank.U did say religion is in decline in the society. Now u r saying it's still in control.Hmm..Just wondering where is this is heading.Furthermore, what do u mean by saying"People who want to separate god from that control"?Define the context of "control" u were trying to explain.

  • @beeeefcurtains Religion is not just some interpretation/speculations of certain concepts.Organized religions derived from the middle east often accompany tribalism as well.Monotheism was a tool for tribes to be more united in times of war.(Example:Judaism,Islam).It's not just about "god",I find it more complex than just some ideas on "the creator","life","after life" etc..This is what I think,What do u think?

  • @beeeefcurtains So,I'm curious, what aspects of organized religion r u trying to criticize exactly? Is it charismatic occult leader/tribalism/superstition(anti-science)/insufficient historical proofs/religious beliefs transferred into politics/or just religious ppl's stubbornness to admit human beings' universal ignorance itself?(blink blink)

  • @kugakuga I've got an idea. It's a good one. I'll just take a point someone made and take it completely out of context and spin it around into a hundred different directions. Plus, you prove my point anyway. You said it yourself: "Monotheism was a tool for tribes to be more united in times of war." Religion began as a means to control people and continues to control people today although it is in decline. That does not exclude it from influence.

  • @beeeefcurtains I'm sry u felt misunderstood:)Monotheism served to unite ppl in times of tribal wars, the INTENTION of the origin differ tho. Some may had had mind blowing spiritual experiences that led them into that. But again,it's not provable.Interestingly, those benefited from religion r those who came after the death of pioneer prophets.(Like Joseph Smith..he never lived til he saw LDS ppl get into politics, writing 7Habits books.Quite contrary he died a tragic death)

  • @kugakuga Great babel. What's any of that have to do with anything I said before that you apparently disagreed with? The fact of the matter is religions have generally been created by the "clergy" to control people. Why the fuck do you think most religions demonize material possessions, lust, greed, and the like? Throw in a hell and shit gets even better. Make people think that they are inherently evil, shit really gets good for the clergy.

  • @beeeefcurtains I respectively disagree that all religions started with the will to control ppl.Sikhism started as a social movement to reconcile Hinduism n Islam.Baha'ism does not introduce the concept of "hell".Pilgrim's Ethic promote hard work n the positive use of wealth.Mormonism talks about three realms of heaven for good non Mormons.Mohamed originally just wanted to say no to almost 380gods in kabar.(he didn't intend to make new religion or to form a group).

  • @beeeefcurtains oh,did I say "most religions demonize material possessions, lust, greed, and alike"?I believe I said ppl have different definitions n methods to deal with those things in life:D Were u trying to sound more persuasive n masculine by saying "fuck"?haha

  • @kugakuga People don't need to "deal" with those things. There's nothing inherently wrong with them (depending on how one defines greed). The concept of god(s) and morality are to keep people in check. That's why people's god(s) take on human form (minus animists), legitimate sharp wealth inequality, and generally ask people to disavow material possessions (at least the major religions do). Keep throwing me a bunch of scams, though. You can keep living in an apolitical lala land.

  • @beeeefcurtains Perhaps u missed my comment way back.(Limitation of youtube)I said ppl define those "greed, lust, possessions"differently.Decide how they understand them,n some find it worth "deal with" n they try.Personally,I'm fine with ppl living their life n reflect on other ideas as long as it's a choice.I was originally troubled cuz I thought u meant religious ppl do things with no reflections.Perhaps your extreme language("mindless zombies") made me think u had some hate.

  • @beeeefcurtains I agree when u said "People don't need to "deal" with those things. There's nothing inherently wrong with them (depending on how one defines greed)."At the same time,I don't think I have the right to say "if u think having greed/lust is bad, u r wrong".ppl live their lives with their own definitions. When u focus so much on "sinful nature",Perhaps u were talking exclusively about Christianity,ay?(not religion in general)

  • @kugakuga I never said I knew everything. It doesn't take much intellect to see that the whole god concept doesn't hold water and it's full of shit. Why should I have to pander to some ridiculous idea(s), and many times a harmful idea(s)? Atheists have always been around, even before science. They were the people with the best bullshit detectors. Agnostics were always the pussies and still are.

  • @beeeefcurtains Aw,I never said u said u know everything either:p I study anthropology n I wonder upon why certain concepts came to existence without believing them. But that's just me n some couple of ppl who like to do so.lol..u still haven't apologized for calling me "Idiot"tho,ay?Well I guess it's just your normal language habit.Your family still loves u.Some say human judgement is like compass,if it remains unmoved(if it doesn't slightly "doubt" itself),it's broken.

  • @beeeefcurtains oh and...I didn't spam u..someone else did.:( just in case u r wondering..

  • @kugakuga You're a funny guy. I'm the one all the sudden who never doubts himself? I said religions are a form of control, they moderate behaviors, and conveniently seem to support the purse of a few powerful people throughout history and in the present. Where am I wrong? None of my claims were without merit. Scams work because they are hard to disprove, so what's your point? I only ask people think for themselves and keep those bullshit detectors on high.

  • @beeeefcurtains I see your point.I agree it's important for anyone to do self reflection.I think ppl r in a way selfish n they follow religions to benefit themselves more than empowering the "few powerful ppl".Some minority/occultic religions do though(like FLDS).My understanding is that ppl choose to do things cuz they think it's benefit them(whether in current life or hereafter). Many religious intellectuals think ALOT,but still more convinced. Now I understand yur point better:)

  • @beeeefcurtains I think I used the compass analogy because you said "Atheism existed before science" n... "atheists r bullshit detectors n agnostics r all pussies".I just couldn't agree with u on both of it,but couldn't find a nicer way to say "r u sure?"

  • @beeeefcurtains I had fun talking to u though.Ultimately,u r the judge of the world around u.That's why some say this is "ridiculous",n some say "beneficial",n some don't care.Umm,I don't think u r an "idot",or a "pussy"(as u put it that way.Isn't that sexist tho?:p)

  • @beeeefcurtains oh my word I almost missed it.Do u believe in UFO?:0(sigh)just kidding. What got me curious was that u seem to come from a freedom promoting society.I've seen atheists from conservative Arab(way south in Iraq) who got killed for making the first atheist radio program.Of course I understand my friend when s/he says "Fxxx with religion".But u n me,I believe have relative freedom. Why express opinions with such "intensity" of language?(if I were to put in a nicer way)

  • @beeeefcurtains We just have different experiences, we all do, thats what makes us individuals. I have never heard of a christian church say if you don't help us pay electric bills your going to hell as you describe. That is just unheard of for me. It is also a matter of defining terms between dictating and controlling.

  • @beeeefcurtains @beeeefcurtains We just have different experiences, we all do, thats what makes us individuals. I have never heard of a christian church say if you don't help us pay electric bills your going to hell as you describe. That is just unheard of for me. It is also a matter of defining terms between dictating and controlling. I just thought you might be interested in the rest of my 2 cents

  • @beeeefcurtains @beeeefcurtains @beeeefcurtains We just have different experiences, we all do, thats what makes us individuals. I said religions can dictate behavior not churches. I just thought you might be interested in the rest of my 2 cents

  • i llike the part he says hes glad you asked that question u got some good views and vids man

  • @beeeefcurtains I don't see it. Don't you see there is nobody pulling the strings on most religions? Deciding to take 2 seconds out of a day to pray doesn't give control of myself to anyone.

  • Did I hear right? .... the guy in the black shirt is saying "Jesus was never a man, he was god all the time "

Well then what that means is that, his God just pretended to die, because only men can actually physically die, since the Christian God is eternal.Seems like this god being likes to fool people by pretending to die when he can never actually die. hmm

  • @Patambo2000 Are you trying to say Jesus is God? Jesus is the son of God.

  • @Whateverintheworld

I was just trying to point out how absurd belief in a God is.

  • i would like to see these sources that you speak of. so i can read more

  • Time out......When Jesus speaks about the temple in Mark 13:2 it wasn't destroyed yet, so how could it have been written in after 70ad? In fact the only book in the NT that could have possibly been written after the destruction of the temple in 70ad is Revelation. The gospel of Mark was written in the mid to late 50s ad.

  • You do understand that Deuteronomy is old testament. Meaning it is the old covenant. Jesus came, died for our sins, thus creating the new covenant. New testament.

  • @Ibandude I understand all too well. Let me ask you this: is yahweh eternal and unchanging?

  • @PolsciStudent Yes He absolutely is! God revealed Himself in the Old Testament through the law as a Holy God with the HIGH standard. God choose himself a nation and gave them the standard to set them apart from sin.

  • @PolsciStudent How can something that's never been be eternal?...

  • @Ibandude But god doens't change ?

  • @Ibandude

Jesus never said the OT was to be canceled out. He argued some parts, but there are verses Jesus says the OT is important.

  • @Ibandude yeah, but jesus also said "Iam not here to change the laws". We follow the 10 commandments which are old testament. yet somehow the OT is no longer in our current covenent? thats cherry picking

  • I love how Christians like to throw, well the O.T doesn't appeal to us, but yet, all the sunday congregations I went to as a kid told stories from the O.T and not to mention 90% of their sermons are O.T based

  • @TheInsidiousParadigm the 10 commandments are OT too. LOL

  • @WorldMilitia exactly

  • I actually kind of liked this guy. The first christian I've liked in a very long time. It wasn't so much of an argument as much as it was a discussion. At least he's honest. It's nice to hear a christian say "I don't know"

  • the wife of your busom (heh) XD

  • YOU ARE THE MAN POLSCISTUDENT, THANKS FOR PUTTING A LITTLE SENSE INTO THE MINDS OF THE CONCIEDED "GOD BLESS YOU" ha

  • Just out of curiosity, why do you consider yourself agnostic and not atheist? I realise that there is a possibility that a god exists, but it is so unlikely that I prefer to call myself an atheist.

  • @guitarfuckist I don't mean to answer for him, but I the reason I personally call myself an Agnostic rather than an Atheist is because most of the arguments coming from the Atheist side is more or less informing the person that they don't know these things to be true as a fact. If you said you were an Atheist when you were really just an Agnostic who's more towards the Atheist side, they could easily turn the card on you and say that you're doing the same thing - claiming you have actual facts.

  • @andydude30 Thx im glad somebody cleared that up a bit for me. I do have one thing to say about your response though. When I say I dont believe in Gods I dont declare fact. I dont claim to know how the universe started etc. I merely make a statement of my non belief. I am not convinced, and that is all. I do see where you are coming from though.

  • @guitarfuckist Oh yeah totally. I feel the same way. As long as you make it clear to the person you're arguing with that it's simply a belief and you don't take it as a fact (unlike how a lot of religious people feel about their beliefs) then you're fine. :)

  • if this dude doesn't believe in God why is he trying to convince other people to believe like him is their faith hurting him in any kind of way, no. so whats the point ya know just do what you do and let other people do what they do. im a christ follower but if someone doesn't believe in God im not gonna waist so much as one breath trying to convince them other wise its just a waist of time

  • To be honest dude, you can hold your own against these people, but a Jesuit would fucking blitz you.

  • in this clip the kid the black shirt is wearing a herbrew shirt reading YAHUSHUA the real name of the Messiah, and he uses Jesus??? A false pagan name for the Messiah??? If you would talk to someone who actually knew the scriptures to answer your questions... Your just exposing the newbies and weak who dont know the scripture.

  • @Servant4YHWH what does it mean to know the scripture?

  • @PolsciStudent

To ask someone who knows the scriptures and studies from them could answer the questions easier than the kids that go duhhhh... You have some great questions and arguments that the every day ""Christian"" cant answer. For they say they know and believe. But the DONT REALLY know.

Like for your question where is the middle ground..... Well the Middle ground is LOVE. all people as in Buddist, Tao, Christian, Catholic, and Muslim all center around love. For Love is Core of them all

  • @PolsciStudent If you still want some one to answer this, At minimum it would take someone that understood the context behind the scriptures. It is important to understand the the original authors of some of the books of the bible didn't all intend for them to be read by wider audiences, but usually specific groups of people. Or at the very least that is how I would approach the issue.

  • @Servant4YHWH lol i didnt know there was a ranking system in religion. he must be a private.

  • @Servant4YHWH It seems unintelligent (or even stupid) to base your worldview around a religion that you don't know the details about. But hey, maybe I'm just completely logical.

  • I love that comment! And it's so true! I am more a Buddhist/Taoist myself.

  • "Of all the systems of religion that ever were invented, there is none more derogatory to the Almighty, more unedifying to man, more repugnant to reason, and more contradictory in itself, then this thing called Christianity. Too absurd for belief, too impossible to convince, and too inconsistent for practice, it renders the heart torpid, or produces only atheists and fanatics."-Thomas Paine (my favorite Founding Father)

  • @PolsciStudent

Nice clip, .........the christian guy, at the start claiming that he knows...then at the end claiming he doesnt know,,,christianity just cant support itself or for any religion for that matter.....all religions have to be supported., otherwise they just disappear and thats why they are all false ........christianity even crumbles at the slightest inspection of the words written....as is seen here....great job, Polsci :)

  • @PolsciStudent "than this thing called Christianity" hahahahah LOVE IT!! Thomas Paine, my favorite.

  • @PolsciStudent If u live in times when religion controls freedom,I'd had admired u.My Iraqi atheist friend is always my inspiration,n his eagerness to argue came from his suppression. In liberal society, however, mutual respect should be established. I feel analysis of religious scriptures require fluency in languages, cultural relativism,n context.Being a non religious person, I find it uneasy to c ppl being filmed n ridiculed. No one wants2 look stupid. If any idea enables one2 do good, let it be.

  • @kugakuga I gotta agree with you there!

  • @PolsciStudent In other words, while I truly appreciate your illuminating videos,(I wonder) if one vehemently suggests his/her particular belief/disbelief of any sort to another person who doesn't,is it not different from religious extremists who yell "the truth" to non believers faces? For it it just brings similar sentiment n the uncomfortable feeling.
