  • Ironic sign at the beginning. Offroaders have nearly ruined a number of Sierra lakes with feces, and they keep leaving trash on the trails. It shows an inherent lack of respect for nature. If they really want to prove something they'd hike that route and lose the beer guts.

  • rubicon: built jeep tough.

  • i love the rubicon but they took out the gatekeeper!!!!! >:(

  • Why don't they just walk

  • @nedathy

that would be way to easy duh!

  • Haha... YJs and CJs with TJ flares... just wishin for a TJ :)

  • Hey bro, nice video, i have kind of a weird question, have you ever spotted any wild bamboo groves whilst wheeling in El Dorado county?

  • Yeah Baby....ton of fun

  • id love to see an Fj try this theyd fall apart. ive been down the Rubi and its a great trail beautiful scenery and the ruggedness only tamed by Jeep 0[[[[0

  • @gypman921 And Toyota

  • @theninja001 some have made it yes key word some The rubicon has been testing grounds for jeep for years but yes some toyotas have made it just not many. The FJ is one however we towed a FJ out of this trail also due to blown front end. The IFS just isnt very resiliant on this trail as that of solid axel. But there is a lucky few

  • @gypman921 Oh, I guess you mean stock vehicles...well, the H2 and H3 made it too.

  • @gypman921 I have a 94 Toyota pickup with a SAS and dual ARB lockers, I can make it. And for far less than a modded Jeep!!

  • @theninja001 true but you had lockers which help hugely. I have a 96 xj with open diffs ...lol. Went to a jeep club trail ride on the rubi 5 years ago and made it. its not about if you can or cant make it its the durability factor of it. Toyotas IFS platform is great for on road comfort but not really a fav in a wheelin adventure.

  • @gypman921 SAS means .....Solid Axle Swap

  • love that white bronco

  • Well done. Music was good.

  • Nice video, some shots too quick, music could be better.

  • Great video

  • just got back today from

  • so much fun my dad raised me as a single parent use to always take me there soooo much fun

  • Badass...I live near this place. Love the Sierra's!

  • Search "Vintage Rubicon Trail Jeepers Jamboree" to see what guys used to do with stock Jeeps on the Rubicon. I have footage from as late as 1992 when 31" was still considered a big tire and 33" was "extreme". You guys get hung up and break stuff with these rigs with dana 60s front and rear, massive travel and huge tires. So much for driver skill (just kidding). ;)

  • you gotta post this footage up! I love wheeling my stock Jeep, makes it more of a challenge. Let me know if you do post it up, or if you already did

  • That was some nice editing! Looks like fun out there . . .

  • I remember this trail. The first time I went there I was like 6

  • were going friday !

  • well done ! and made chill go up my back

  • Any of your Rubicon Pirates know how well the yotas are holding up compared to the solid axle crowd?

  • looks like most these people are running no smaller than 35"s

well when i do the rubi, my scout is going to have 44"s

  • im part of pirates of the rubicon, and i love it there, it real fun, real challenging to

  • woohoo... running this the year after highschool.

  • I love this Video. I sure wish someday I too can run the Rubicon. Looks Like good times and great people. A+

  • Im not big into rock crawling...but this is one trail i wanna whell on before i die.have a buddy who has wheeled it once, says its the nastiest shit hes ever been on...and he does moab every year

  • please the song!!!

    la cancion porfavor!!

  • the songs used are listed in the credits at the end of the movie. thanks for watching!

  • hi alex

  • bad ass clip

  • My uncle use to go over his in th 60's. Isn't there a easier route? Or is this the Rubicon of Auburn?

    Mike

  • Super Video!

Nice work Now I want a jeep!!

  • Outrageously cool video. I've done the Rubicon twice in my Rangler. My mods consist only of a 3.5" lift and 32"BFG all terrains. I run open diffs and am good at using steering and momentum. The obstacles in this video seem more extreme than some I encountered. When you do the trip through Jeep Jambore, they skip several of the sleuths. I'm assuming that some of the gnarley stuff in your vid occurs there. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • nice video...reminds me of taking my mostly stock 69 jeepster commando thru...yes it got dented...tore out brake lines...had to get pulled off a couple spots but when we got to the springs camp we turned around and went back out the way we came in...my buddy said you wear pink panties if you go out to tahoe so i went back thru the sluices and the worst the trail can dole out

  • I cant wait to get my cummins diesel yj out there

  • great video

  • mi dad gave me his CJ-7 that he custom built

  • nothing good in life is cheap bro

  • kewl

  • thats such a nice place up there. love it nice video man

  • I wonder how a stock 06 rubicon would do on the trail? whats the cheapest way to make it trail ready?

  • JP Magazine took a stock Rubi on Rubi. Did just fine.

  • Real jeeps are built not bought

  • @empie1983 too true mate

  • a land rover defender would be amazin on this!

  • no it wouldnt, a LR wouldnt make it out of the parking lot

  • Actually I went this year on the Jamboree in August. There WAS a STOCK (might have had some running gear upgrades, but not lifted) Land Rover that DID make it all the way through the trail and out Cadillac to Tahoe.. The ONLY rig that broke down was a TOYOTA. Just FYI... And btw.. I'm a Jeep / Bronco fan... LRs are okay, but still a Yuppie rig IMO.

  • super footage well produced video

  • hehe how do you clean up stream beds?

  • You pick up trash that washes out in the bends, or gets caught up in twigs/roots. Get it?

  • This was in answer to the tree hugger who had to wonder how a person cleans up a stream bed. I've been wheeling up there for years, and there's a lot of great trails all around from between Icehouse Reservoir and Loon Lake. I wheel an 04 Unlimited on 32 MTs. Cool video - those rigs are definitely rubi rock crawlers; I'm more set up for expedition - it's all good. KEEP THE TRAILS OPEN, Tread Lightly and to any idiots out here, most of us pack in and pack MORE than we bring in.

  • Nice to see some wheelers that know what the hell they are doing & not just tearing shit up & acting like knobs

  • GOOD JOB ON THE FILMING! COOL VID.

  • Nice!

  • thanks for the video! hopefully i'll have my fullsize blazer out there next year. this stuff means more to us out here in ne az than you know.

  • Nice Work

  • anyone know the average speed for the trail?

  • 2-5 mph

  • great video, thanks for putting it up!

  • lifting my FJ cruiser and putting tires on...

cant wait to rape this part of mutha earth /poke

  • Hey!! Nice video & nice rigs!!! Check PatoV6! Congratulations!

  • Makes me want to go get a jeep but my money pit is a boat. So not for now, but great video

  • Good job

  • hey would my 02 wrangler with a rubicon exoress 3.5 inch lift and 33's be able to make it through the rubicon?

  • yea for sure but its more of the driver than the truck!

  • Its more than a lift and tires, buddy. Locking dif's and experiencen help alot.

  • nice video

  • You rape Mother Earth with your Weapons of Mechanized Destruction! Her blood and tears on on you! Otherwise a very well made video with good soundtrack.

  • Shut it, leaf-licker.

  • I try and rape her weekly. That slut puts out.

  • yea no not all of us, just the drunks, allot of us at tellico ohv go by the tread lightly policy which means we stay on the trail and clean up garbage, prevent erosion, and clean up stream beds, you should do some research before you condem a sport

  • scrambleralan ... well said buddy! I belong to the 4 wheel drive association locally and almost all the local clubs use the tread lightly principal. It's the drunken weekend yahoos and uninformed tree-huggers that give the sport a black eye.

  • couldnt agree w/ you more, are yall part of united?

  • i drink beer and tread lightly man

  • Riiiight.

  • no harm done
