its not a turbo bike you fucks, its a 16 valve gs motor! thats what 11,000 sounds like. and a lot of power! 10 thumbs up! i love this video! notice the front wheel off the ground til like 500 feet haha
I highly doubt thats a turbo bike, that looks to be a pro stock bike. If it's not a pro stock and its not normally aspirated it would most likely be nitrous injected. As for the sound, turbo bikes are usually not that loud.
My good man, listen to the sound of the bike as its making its pass. That is not the sound of a turbo bike. I had a turbo top gas drag bike and it was LOUD, but it was not as loud as a normally aspirated bike with an open pipe. Or should I say it didnt have that same blasting loudness. I also dont hear any noticeable turbo whine which leads me to believe that this a normally aspirated drag bike.
welllllllll first off a turbo doesnt whine my good man it spools and second off you wouldnt be able to hear it as it would only be boosting 7-10 lbs. and yes i know my shit
Turbos are most often audible, them term spool refers to the spinning action of the rotor. The sound that a turbo makes is either a high pitch whine or blowing noise as the vehicle makes its pass. As for only boosting 7-10 pounds, my top gas Suzuki ran 8.20 and it was pumping out 20lbs of boost. The boost level on my bike was considered average on a turbo sportsman dragbike.
for a daily driver (not in this video or your drag bike) theres no point to push the turbo to 20 lbs as you wont use all the power. you can run 8's on a ten lb boosting turbo. ive seen it at the sacrament dragway
On some of the newer bike you can run in the 8's on 10-12lbs. However, even some of the Busa's turning 7's are pumping 15lbs and over. 20lbs of boost is really not that much. I remember when MIR raceway had the outlaw pro-street class, before they banned the turbo bikes there were bikes pushing out as high as 30-35lbs pounds of boost. Those were bikes with no wheelie bar on a 7" slick.
Go ahead, I dont see why not! Thats the way things are going nowadays, new style powerplants with 500-600hp on either a street tire or a 7" slick. The pro-street Busa built by NLR systems made a 7.15@204 mph pass earlier this month at Oreilly raceway. And that was on a street tire! I wonder how much boost that turbo was pushing out. One of the fastest small tire bikes I ever saw was Rodney Willifords turbo Busa, his bike went 6.99@198mph. This was back in 2006!
