Back in the day, toy guns could actually look like real ones and this caused problems for the Police. I've heard stories of Police shooting someone because they mistook a toy gun for a real one. Now-a-days they have to be clearly marked with a bright florescent tip. Other things we used to have back in the day that now seem unthinkable were candy cigarettes that actually blew a puff of powder to simulate smoke, bubble gum that came in a toothpaste tube and gum that resembled chewing tobacco!
