The problem is the way the Japanese music industry works. It's really hard to find a Japanese HD music video. Only some are in HD. worse, most of the time videos are on for some time and then taken off youtube. So it's not as acessible to other parts of the world compared to kpop. Kpop spoilt me. I watch everything in HD now. Korean music videos, dramas, concerts, etc. are mostly in HD now. Plus kpop events are starting to be streamed live.

Agreed, Japan has true rock/techno music. especially rock I just love the variety and creativity J-pop rock singers have,. Whereas Koreans have idol-style rock singers which are really terrible =.=. eg. ft island no offence. I like them though lol.

Kpop is always repetitive, autotone songs are always in trend. Massive girl groups coming out every day and boy groups with similar styles its just boring and vague.

Bubblegum pop like Morning Musume, Hello! Project, AKB48, etc.

Though all of these artists/groups are defined in their genre of music, They all blurred the lines that defines genre and diverse themselves in different styles.

I don't see much of this in K-pop/music.

All korean artists I listen to/ used to listen to, all had a specific sound and rarely diversify/ experiment with styles. Most I know are Pop/Dance/Hiphop/urban anyway. they good dancer and in sync.

I was introduced to K-pop back during 2001 by my cousins, SES, H.O.T. , SHINHWA, etc. I found J-pop via anime, but it was only the first step. Laruku, Ayumi hamasaki and SCANDAL, YUI, etc., all theme songed to anime. I listen to both now, but J over K.

Japan wins for music. Japanese music is unique. They dress to fit their personalities/meaning behind the band. It's not a fashion show (did I mention that I love visual kei??) Plus they have the best MVs EVER!!!

IMO, K-pop has more quality than J-pop.

The fashion K-pop wears all depend on the concept. If it's a cute and innocent concept, then they wear simple, yet trendy clothes. If the concept is more about power and has a strong meaning, then they wear clothes that would resemble the image.

Also for the music, K-pop's flow is usually very clean and follows through nicely.

Also their music videos always just look amazing to me. xD

I personally like Japanese music and boys better than i like Korean ones. I'm just saying to me they have wonderful talent and when they get on the stage Japanese groups like Kat-Tun, Hey!Say!JUMP and Morning Musume have alot of talent and spark!!^^ Whle even though i lkie Korean music they just don't excite me when they're on the stage because they don't really do what the japanese do.

I really think Kpop is better....they are very modern and americanized in a way,but not copying..

Also about that morning musume,well there are many korean bands who probobly perform better.and DBSk isnt really the most popular in Korea right now...But they were.

@kwells1111 I've listened to SHINee, DBSK, Se7en(solo), Rain(solo), Sane, Big Bang, G-Dragon, T.O.P., Tae Yang(sorry if i miss spelled his name), 2NE1, 4Minute, SNSD, Rainbow, Miss A, MBLAQ, Super Junior, and a whole lot more and if you don't believe me then check all of my playlists and its still my opion that i like Japanese better because i feel in love with them the most no matter how many dance moves the korean move of their fashion.
