  • This is interesting but cats have teeth designed to eat meat unlike humans (most just cruel!) but cats should eat cat food. Im vegetarian and vegan starting next year but i just pour my cat food and try not to think about it. If ur going to take an animal then u have to support what they eat in the wild. They eat meat hun sorry to upset u. No hate im just saying.

  • @justicecarlone The cat is healthy and it likes its food. So why is there anything wrong with feeding your cat this?

  • You people disgust me! I don't care if your a vegetarian or omnivore, you look after the animal with it's natural diet in mind! If you were a true animal lover you'd still feed your cat MEAT not vegetables for fuck sake, man you are worse than people who FORCE others into religion.

  • eggs are not vegatarisme

    1:33 Alien eyes

  • does she poop weird when she drinks milk?

  • that's not a vegetarian lol that's a no meat but everything else arian :P

  • Those arnt vegetables....so its not vegetarian

  • cats are obligate carnivores. take a look at their teeth for godsake! they have no molars. i'm amazed your cat is alive; i cannot believe you feed her processed soy products like tofurky and boca burgers. this is animal cruelty, whether you intend it to be or not.

  • @heiwalove the cat is healthy

  • lactose is bad for cats.

  • Vegan power kitty....

  • What's wrong with you people???!!! cats are obligate carnivores, they are designed to eat meat, and hunt prey just like their big cousins, do you think a cat in the wild would go for carrots and potatoes?? no!!! it will hunt!! if you want a vegetarian pet get a rabbit, a guinea pig, a turtle but NOT A CAT. Cruel people you are!!!

  • @kikigi78 It's true that naturally, cats are carnivores, but pet cats are not natural and are domestically bred. Veggies are healthier for them than cat food anyways because the animals that are not FDA approved are ground up and used in dog and cat food. So unless you want to let your cat fend for itself and hunt outside like a natural cat, giving them a unprocessed vegetarian diet in healthier for them.

  • @Beeji Yeah first of all there are natural breeds like the Russian Blue,Siberian,Abyssinian, Burmese,Maine Coon etc. Second, provide me with the scientific evidence, research or a veterinarian opinion that turning an obligate carnivore into a vegetarian is healthier for them than meat and third the fact that in the USA your pet food companies put whatever sh** in their products doesn't mean that it is the same in Europe, we have European brands that manufacture 100% natural food with 80% meat

  • @Beeji and if commercial food is not good enough for you, you can go for a raw diet, but I find it outrageous to try to impose your human beliefs and philosophies onto other species!! cats domestic and wild are carnivores period, they feed on meat, prey, other animals or whatever you want to call it and that should not be changed! nature designed them that way and it is not human's duty to try to change that!!

  • @kikigi78 well domesticating, breeding, neutering...etc animals isn't natural. We have been doing that long in history. 'Pit bulls are the most aggressive of all dogs' well that is because we made them that way. Not natural at all. This diet that the owners been given to Munchie is working great. The cat is a healthy 17 year old.

  • plz stop calling a cat that clearly eats animal products(eggs and milk) a vegetarian.. eggs aren't vegetables and neither is milk.. this is just ignorance. same geos with a human.

  • @LionGoddess1 its called lacto ovo vegetarian

  • My cat loves seaweed and buckweat noodles.

  • My vet told me the most ideal diet for a cat is live mice. And it is the goal of pet food companies, to turn the nutrition from live mice into dry cat food.

  • what kind of yogurt do you feed your cat because i thought it had gelatin

  • My cat looked like yours.. too sad, that she died when she was 18 ;(

  • Why don't you let your poor cat be a cat? It is a hunter. It's whole physiology has been designed that way - to catch and eat meat. Why must you impose your personal ethics on her?

You own up to feeding her processed goods saying they are 'palatable', and feed her unnatural extracts and supplements too. You honestly believe this is preferable?

Munchie might well like yeast extract on her broccoli, but she'd prefer chopped liver.

  • Jesus, this veggiecrazycatlady and her comments are killing me.

  • You are caring and its wonderful. But doesnt Munchie suffer from intestinal problems after milk? cats are lactose intolerant.

  • Hi there. I am looking to convert my three kitties to vegetarianism. One of them is going to be no problem as she demands salad every day and steals my tofurky. But I have no idea how to convert the other two. How did you go about converting Munchie?

  • Cool! my cat took a big peace of salad today from the table while i prepared other stuff for meal, he eat almost the whole leaf! XD

the most he liked was the crunchy part in the middle of of the leaf. nice vid !

  • Wow! I didn't know that was possible. I know dogs kann be nourished vegan but I was always told, even vegetarian food was not suitable for cats.

Thank you so much for proving me wrong. :)

I am planning to get a cat from animal shelter but since I am vegan it was always a dilemma to have some animals killed to feed another one.

But isnt taurine that stuff that is in energy drinks as well -and can be artifically produced?

I gues i will do some reseach on that. :)

  • yes believe me it is entirely possible, I would recommend that you feed them some animal protein, especially eggs.

  • @veggiekittycat Cats cannot digest cows milk properly and shouldn't be given it on any kind of a regular basis. Tofu is also really bad for cats and can destroy their thyroid.

  • My cat loves seaweed and brocolli too. very lovely cat!!

  • thank you

  • My cat loves organic carrot juice, rice milk and vegan lunch 'meats"

  • finally! someone who is a veggie like me! =D

  • if only we all were, so many problems would be solved

  • @veggiekittycat indeed, and so many more if we were vegan

  • @veggiekittycat i would like to say as a true vegetarian there is nothing vegetarian about eating milk and eggs nor is it acceptable to eat fish. I have an 2 easy tips for those that are confused about what is considered vegetarian and what isn't. #1 is it purely a plant product? if you say yes then you are eating a vegetarian product. #2 is there anything in this food that is considered an animal by product? if you said yes. well than you are not a vegetarian.

  • @4734734734731 But in no way should you be ashamed of yourself. you are a "conscious eater" and you should be proud of yourself and not feel you should have to name your diet. Being a "conscious eater" is hard enough to do in this world.

So be proud of yourself you are saving the lives of many animals.

  • Munchie is such a cool cat wow! I'm so amazed!!

  • thank you

  • I am lacto ovo my husband is a meat man so i can never go full vegan so far i have lost 20 lbs and i feel great my husband still thinks i am insane but it works for me . I still cook meat off to the side for his meals

  • so maybe he is the one who is insane, keep it up!

  • Did you decide to feed your cat a vegetarian diet, or was that something your vet suggested due to some sort of immune or digestive deficiency?

  • I decided. I haven't met a vet who would agree yet but there must be one out there somewhere. :)

  • Well, I'm not in a place to judge, since I don't have a cat right now (but I've had 30 cats in my life, mostly outside cats that liked to leave little presents at our front door of field mice). I will say that I disagree, since cats are mostly considered carnivores, but she seems happy and healthy, so I'll say good job.

  • That is so cool! Good to know that those things have taurine. She looks excellent for her age. I used to have a cat that likes cooked vegies more than anything. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks very much for your interest. Yes Munchie is very healthy. It really shows what a healthy diet can do. Please show your friends the video.
