I always love Kinser's interviews. Everyone's always faster, he always has a long way to go -- if he's on pole, than the guys behind him are faster and he's got his work cut out for him.
they only did this once for the world of outlaws, and did it once for late models in 2001 (wasn't televised, or even taped for later airing) the thing is, the dirt took weeks to clear out, and weeks to put down, so they decided that "it's not worth the money"
@tonip420 i was in the pits with my dad (he was an official) sammy swindell almost ren him over cuz he was mad about the call he had 2 move back in the pack
Went to Bristol in 2008 for a Sprint Cup race. Never knew they raced on dirt there. Amazing facility and would love to see the World of Outlaws back there someday. Just don't see it happening though.
Donny Schatz said this track was faster than Eldora. This race was when we had a good economy, sponsorships and advertising was plentiful, you could actually watch a sprint car race on TV, and attendance was highest. This was probably the most popular winged sprint cars would ever get, for whatever reason. Now, SPEED would rather show reruns of NASCAR shows 24/7 and ESPN would rather have lawn mower races than WoO. I can't remember the last time I saw a WoO sprint race on TV
@racermac1988 i was at charlotte this year for the world finals, i watch the races at the track, left went out to eat back to the hotel and an hour later watched the races again on speed. nothing live about it, when Spike bought TNN motorsports on tv went down the drain.
You got that right!! What the hell is up with not showing the most exciting racing ever. Winston Cup is all good, but you can not beat the racing action of the WoO sprint cars. Their's nothing like it anywhere. We ran with all these guys last summer at Cottage Grove Speedway in Oregon. They're flat fast.
thanks for the memories i was fortunate enough to attend 2000 & 2001 races the cloud of dust coming out of the track was phenominal some of the best dirt racing i have ever seen maybe someday they will do it again thanks again bristol on dirt is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry cool
Dirt Bristol???

This was the biggest mistake the WoO ever made. And they won't run on Daytona cuz it's too big they will blow the motors befor turn 1
