Just having a look around youtube, and listening to you, when out popped my call-sign, even getting down into essex on the 4 element was good, thanks for the short qso, hope to catch you soon when im out and about,
alright video, how i began to make money was to enroll in a website named 'Heavy Dollars' - its straightforward, you fill in short questionnaires and earn dollars! simple lol
Good stuff Simon. I made my own 8ele (70cm) 4ele (2m) crossed yagi, and that works really well. Keep the excellent videos coming! 73 - Rob VK2GOM / G0MOH
I love home brewing ants! I also made a 8/4 Ele Crossed yagi using welding wire, it works great. I was out today using the video set up working the Sat's and having fun.
Hey Simon, was just looking around youtube and decided to type in the callsign of the contest group I go out with from time to time and up they pop on one of your videos. I should be down in JO01PU @ G0VHF/P again tomorrow for the March 144/432 contest. Give us a shout if you hear us. They guy you were speaking to the day this video was shot was John G4ZTR. When was the video taken out of interest?
Hi Mark, the video was made back in September 08 and I hope to hear you over the weekend during the 144/432 VHFCC. I will be in my shack (at 1000ft asl) this time keeping warm ;-)
Nice video once again Simon, home made antennas give you more satisfaction when you work something on them knowing that you made the antenna yourself. I make my own dipoles for now ive made a quad for 2 metres before which worked really well.
No probs! If you follow the link from my channel page, it will take you to my site. There are details and links showing what I used, and all the measurements e.t.c
nice!! Mind telling me what materials you need and how you made it? :) I want to give it a try hehe :) So looks like that can do vhf/uhf? Thanks and 73s!

Tnx Dave,
Yeah its a top buzz when they out perform Commercial stuff.
I am always on with some kind of project, keeps the imagination alive h.i
Dipoles are good, I have a Full wave Delta Loop for 20M. Simple but Remarkable performance. Have you tried one yet?
