I call my husbands dementia the "Roller Coaster" . One day he is more "himself" & the next he sleeps for 3 days.Leaving me to wonder if he will wake back up.He can change from hour to hour or week to week.Last Summer his heart rate would go up & down, also he would be awake for days & then sleep for days. The more he is awake the more he sees and talks to people. Also becomes more mean. It kind of subsided over the Winter.Lately the sleep problem has returned as well as not wanting to eat or drink.
Which is new.I just never know what or who I will get. Thus the term Roller Coaster.
Signed, 18yrs and still going
