@Rowan107e5 dude he doesnt exist, that how he was trained secret agents have back up. Phantom(ghost) agent doesnt have back up. He doesnt know his real name. how would other government will know that he would push beyond himself even though he is injured :P
I find it incredibly hard to believe that they would keep the most dangerous secret agent ever in a room with a huge open window, then act surprised that he's gone
This ending defiantly has more of an impact then the original, and more of a "kick ass" Bourne feel to it the way he escapes and strides off through the streets of Berlin. But as previously stated, Bourne being captured doesn't do his "untouchable" image any justice, and the audience would loose confidence in him if they opted with this ending and made a third.
if you research the books you'll see that its a complete different writer for the fourth book and so on, its a complete different bourne. not anywhere as good as the original tho.
I heard the next 4th installment which is releasing in 2012 (probably). It won't include Matt Damon and the original director Paul Oakenfoald. It will be a new director and new actor playing Jason Bourne
@doriangreek matt damon stated that he would only come back to the Bourne franchise if Paul Greengrass directed, which is not the case. He is not being replaced as Jason Bourne, the main character will be a new one, also a trained assassin who went through Treadstone.
Damon has left the door open for possible doing another Bourne movie with Greengrass in the future. There are some pretty good actors in it including ed norton and scott glenn, jeremy renner is also in it.
You know, if a third one didn't exist and it ended with Bourne dying on the snow after apologizing to the girl for killing her parents, I feel like that would have also have been a good, fitting way to end the franchise.
@doriangreek at firsti was totally against it bbut when edward norton and jeremy renner were added I was pumped and that the fact that the title xplains why bourne isnt in the Bourne Legacy, if they make a fifth film which I hope they do, Jason Bourne shall return and hopefully so will Matt Damon
Thank you for the clip! I never get tired of Bourne because the movie gives insight on how to deal with the adversities of life-go,go, go, look at watch, go, confidence, sureness of step, not procrastinating on what you must do!
also, this ending wouldn't fit that well with the 3rd movie, its a much better atmosphere in the third movie because the two characters (bourne and palm) havn't even met each other yet so there is that hidden suspense when they first meet up finally. this ending also gives mix signals about the characters "abilities" because bourne evaded the officials for so long and he gets caught at the end so easily.. im rambling too much i think im going to go to sleep now :) thanks for the upload!
hmm i like the original ending better, i dont like it when he gets "caught" haha (as if they wouldn't hand cuff him to the bed..?), but this ending is also pretty cool
This is actually original ending, its in the script and they shot alternative one which is in official version.

I prefer the original ending but this is sweet as well. But especially with Ultimatum being in the picture, I prefer the original ending.

@Rowan107e5 yeah but the women from CIA had clearence to let him into a room like that and his arm was damaged so i doubt they thought he'd escaped

IMO this ending is better cause we see him tired and lying there alone in the snow, it looks very sad and i like that he escaped at the end.

@doriangreek Not really an ''American'' ending, but it would be very nice i agree!
The sad part is that the franchise didn't end that those retards make another Bourne movie WITHOUT MATT DAMON >:( I mean WTF!? :'(

was about to say even with him in that situation he'd still be able to escape, and then he does. xD
I prefer the original ending as well.
