She is a beautiful little girl, and you do extremely well with her. As a parent with a special needs child I know it can be very trying to feel like you're parenting these kids correctly. She is so happy, and very responsive to you. I love the video, and hope she is doing well. You all are in my prayers.

I messaged her mom a while ago and she replied yesterday. She told me Mona had to get a G-tube put in back in January and her scoliosis is starting. She will find out in a few months where they are at with it and what they need to do.

Currently, Mona's scoliosis is getting worse so we have an appt in the orthopedics clinic in the next couple of weeks. Most likely Mona will need surgery to correct her scoliosis. I will update after the appointment to let you guys know what's going on. Thank you you guys. :-)

She looks like my niece and sounds the same, she is so cute, my niece also has Rett Syndrome and is 8 now. We have noticed that when she is alone she doesnt use her hands that much but when we are beside her she uses then and throws her arms over towards you to say hello. Mona is beautiful.Thanks for sharing her with us xx

She's beautiful & reminds me of my Jess who also has Rett Syndrome & taps her chest & grinds her teeth (the noise also drives me nuts!). Thankyoufor sharing little Mona, I love seeing what other Rett girls are up to, it makes me feel less isolated.
