What pisses me off is I'm the same as you in that aspect. And that's why I used to really like English because you could do whatever you wanted with it...Then I went to College and dealt with strict English teachers who have sticks up their butts. MLA rules are just like math rules. Their set in stone...yet still the people who are higher up decide "Meh, lets change it a little." Stupid MLA changes.
