This is pretty good! I don't really like the style of singing that much though, it kind of sounds like he's crying or whining. I thought the song was about defiance, willpower, etc, this guy doesn't sound like he could stand up to much of anything.

This song is clearly about individual freedom, and as such whether the lyric is "I will" or "I won't" doesn't matter. Either "I will make the greatest sacrifice" (giving your life before your individuality), or "I won't" sacrifice individuality to the collective.

When people die in war, they're considered as making "the greatest sacrifice" for their country. They die, making the greatest sacrifice.

While the song is called I'm Alive, which would mean that David is saying I WON'T make the greatest sacrifice since he wants to stay alive, since the song is called I'm Alive.

Also as it goes into the chorus he says "I carry the torch of my fathers before me".

Which could suggest he's going to be immortalised in history for his brave actions.

Yeah, like he said, a lot better than most covers done. Just doesn't have the force that it needs. This softer tone is better for songs like Disturbed's song "Darkness".
