Mist change I would have payed over 500€ for the wheel as I'm a big BMW fan and sim driver for years, the video is from 1 Okt 2011 and we are now febr 2012. Got my self the T500 RS!!! CSR Elite is to expensive with out any pedal and to much toy like!

@Nefus1988 The Obutto cockpit looks pretty cool for, the tubing is pretty thin though..is it sturdy? Does it take up allot of room?

I'm using the GT2 Game Pod, Modified G27/Momo / Sli-M & Rev Burner at the moment; hoping to stick a couple of SCN5 actuators on the back of it soon and convert it to a 2DOF motion sim, its a good solid 25mm x 50mm steel framed platform to work from; hopefully it will work.

@ecotts It feels very sturdy, no flex at all. I think It´s a pretty compact but that depends on if you are gonna have the acrylic table and monitor stand installed. You can go to the obutto website and when measure. When it comes to comfort this cockpit is great! I weigh little over 100kg but It´s still very comfortable and I feel no pain using it for extended time. Currently I have the Fanatec GT2 mounted with a piece of wood under the clamp and when some duct tape over it.

@ecotts One negative thing about the Obutto is the installation of the seat on the base, it was very confusing and theres no pictures in the instruction manual so I had to go on the internet for help. And the Thrustmaster T500 and the Fanatec wheels will not clamp properly. You really need to drill some holes in it, otherwise you can buy the acrylic table.

Watch and listen how he specifically says, you just see Dirk Adorf taking this wheel out of his race car 2:07; notice how he's being quite vague as clearly he knows full well that 'YES' he took it out of the car but 'NO' he didn't drive that real life BMW using it.

The description says the driver used it in the car; what as a hat? Its a totally different quick release system. Very deceitful video!

@whiz82 There's no reason it couldn't be. If the wheel is all-metal construction and has the same sized quick-release as a real racecar, it could definitely be used to drive..

It even looked toyish when the race driver was using it @ 2:19 Pants!!!

When I was buying my first wheel and pedals, I choosed between Fanatec and Logitech.

I made the right choice in that I bought a GT3 RS V2 Wheel with Clubsport pedals.

I have been driving many miles with my Fanatec equipment and it truly ROCKS.

I will soon upgrade to Fanatec's fabulous new wheel with the interchangable rims whenever they appear on the market.

Thanks Fanatec for making the best SIM equipment.

Mr. Thomas, now that you guys at Fanatec are working with BMW, then maybe you could provide a replica of 2009 BMW F1 wheel or maybe Formula BMW replica for your Formula-style Rim? Is that possible? It would be very cool and - in some small way - competitive - Thrustmaster got F1 rim from Ferrari, maybe you could get one from BMW-Sauber :)

Probably not cause Microsoft doesn't want other wheels working with there consoles. Which is why they make there own wheels. Just get a rFactor (And rFactor 2 when it comes out) On PC along with this wheel and your set :P

@iRacingDavid No. I expected good new tyre model with 2.0 update. I found out that it's still a beta and even real drivers don't like it much. David Kraemmer said that he doesn't care what we think. I expected better FFB setup, not just a checkbox. When I don't set my FFB very high on my GT3RS wheel, I don't see why tracks should be laser scanned when I don't feel it good. Accuracy is good, but even Race07's artificial feel is better. Offtrack warning is riddiculous and offten doesn't work good.

Relax. BMW is using similar rims on the M3 GT2 ALMS car and the 320 si WTCC car which was shown in the video. Our wheel works with both.

@GeneralRushHour I just verified it and You're absolutely right. Real wheel is much different than this ( goo . gl/5yjKt ), but I think, this one looks better. It's just not possible to recreate real wheels in every detail when you have one base for many wheels.
