Man this ad is 90's as fuck. The cheesy music snd filming couldn't get any more 90's, and this is nearly 2000. From what I remember I thought TV modernized by 99, I guess I was wrong. Hell, saving private ryan came out in 99, and it looks far ahead of this in filming.
Is the '09 the year the Ram got that strange forward slant and old headlights or did that happen for '10? I'm not a fan of the current version, but the one immediately before that version was the ultimate look of the Ram.
It's 2009 and up. I like the look of it. It looks the best out of them all in my opinion, but of course, everyone has a different opinion. They all look good.
I remember when Dodge first came out with the first mac truck-inspired Ram in the early 90s and absolutely hated it. In a few weeks I did a complete 180 and fell in love with the look. I don't know why other auto manufacturers refuse to add style to the exterior of their trucks. Even though the most modern Ram isn't my favorite, it still has a sense of style other makers don't bother with.
I agree. Now the F-150 and Silverado don't look bad but they just don't have the sense of style that you mention. It just gives it character as a Ram, I think. I do like the way the front cap looks on the new Sierra's. Not too stylish but it looks kind of mean.
Agreed. There are some aspects of the post-'04 Dakotas that I prefer over the bodystyle in this commercial (like the headlights), but overall this model of the Dakota was the best. I even noticed that Dodge tweaked the design again a couple years into the '05 redesign and they made it even worse. The grill now gets wider towards the top and the headlight design went from awesome to horrible.
I had to replace my Dakota recently and '04 was the last year I would consider.
