I agree, Kimmy. I have to say that he has made a very good choice in selecting Palin for VP. Maybe having a true Conservative on the ticket will help straighten him out on this issue, especially after the way she has upstaged him amongst the Conservative vote. I now support his ticket, only because I am betting that he will be a one-term President, then we will elect the first woman to the Presidency. She will be a Republican, and her name will be Sarah Palin!

The stats concerning the economic drain on the USA are staggering. $20 billion in under the table cash sent to Mexico annually bypassing our tax system. Since 1996, 397 billion in social services, 13billion to educate illegal kids. 12 billion per year alone in California for social services to illegals.

The money these illegals are costing us could be used fix Mexico.

If you want to talk about economic drain.... How much would it cost to locate each of the 15-20 million illegal immigrants in the united states (which is impossible). How much would it cost to pay for personnel and equipment to deport them back to Mexico. How much would it cost to improve border security to stop more from coming in? Now, if a lesser form of amnesty is granted... you got 15-20million more people paying taxes, providing jobs, and in America's workforce (Greater GDP).

Obviously,you aren't familiar with the type of work or the income of illegals,if they work at all. They are not Doctors,lawyers,indian chiefs sneaking over the border. umm doctors and lawyers make around 70,000+ a year.... I'm talking 20,000. Thats minimum wage in California for 40 hours a week. A full time job (or multiple part time jobs -.-). + some for the few that make real money. If illegal immigrants are granted some sort of rights, then they get paid more. And people without greencards don't qualify for most well fare. Besides money for having a kid.

I agree that the illegal immigrants should NOT be allowed in, they should wait in line like everybody else, but I understand that deporting and controlling our borders is too great of a economic drain compared to simply having them pay taxes and assimilate into American society. If 17,500,000 immigrants (half way between 15mil-20mil) and they make $25,000 a year (compared to American average of 51k) and pay about 20% of their income in taxes and we don't give them much welfare benefits since they are not green card holders. thats $87,500,000,000 a year in taxes alone. He made a comment to Hannity after the NC primary that his position hasn't changed, and again on Meet the Press he said if he was President, he'd sign the McCain-Kennedy amnesty bill--only problem, the Senate won't pass that bill.
