The X Factor is not designed to be the vehicle for great original artists. Leona is a great singer but is Simon's puppet. Austin is better off out of it. Apparently he has a single coming out in March. I hope it's not some sentimental pop crap - I want him to do a jazz/blues/soul album that will make him an icon. His websites are terrible and I worry about the team behind him.

Rachel only got saved because she had a sob story to go with her entry, everyone deserves a second chance but that doesn't mean it has to be handed to you on a plate. Louis should have let it go to the public vote, I'm not sure who would have gone through but IMO Austin is a far better all round performer. Rachel is a one trick pony and has no chance to win, whilst Austin was by far the strongest male in the competition.
