That throttle response problems seems like it was just loading up with fuel and could not burn it off fast enough. In other words was running to rich.
@journeyquest1 no its because its not a carb, its a choke thats why it doesn't work so well but i modded a REAL carb on the back plate with jb weld and its revs like a f1 car. its so amazing but i don't really feel like making a video unless people request more of the updated version also i shortend the tube from the collector to the muffler also made the port bigger for more power
have you figured out why the throttle response sucks? i tried doing the EXACT same thing a few years ago and the throttle response almost was random. aka no throttle response.
@thegenrl i found a carb for these and modded it, it has like F1 engine throttle response and its amazing also improved on the muffler too. Going to make a vid of it soon.
but copper seals better its soft so it dont get hard and lock tight is not so good as it wont last long on high heat and cox engine vibrate a lot so any hard sealant will crack etc
very good points.. however, dont forget that if it can vibrate then its not going to seal.. yea. they vibrate allot, but lock tight is made for such things.. and made to release when you apply uniform torq on it.
anyhow, thanks for replying. your a great guy to bs with. :)
you cant just put a carb on the air intake. all it will do is mess up the mix. you need to control the fuel flow as well as the air intake so you should run the fuel through the carb as well for a better affect like RCFLYER83 says. he's knows what he's talking about. also a great fuel tank mod. awsum!
nice dude! I was wondering if it would run to be honest. and from your other videos i can see that what ever you do your going to be successful at it!
how long do these things last
superbungabunga 1 month ago
this engine seems to eat fuel up very quickly

Bad throttle response maybe due to timing

rockhopperz93xeedmax 1 year ago
@rockhopperz93xeedmax i didnt copy any design i jb weld it ever fits together
30GB 1 year ago
Is the throttle response better with it leaned out? Such a delayed response usually means it is way too rich.

dude can i use 5% nitro fuel for cox 049 engine???
24thCenturyChannel 1 year ago
@24thCenturyChannel any fuel will be good but make sure it has at least 14% oil
30GB 1 year ago
Thats acually only a choke, not a carb. looks really good tho. thumbs up
