You have nothing to bash about Windows 7...I would know because a new ad would have been released and millions would have been spent on making sure everyone knew how bad it was. I have a friend in Apple's marketing team, & they were waiting for Windows 7 to shoot itself in the foot like Vista.

On new commercial's drawing board: as usual, Mac & PC introduce themselves; a customer lists her woes about Windows 7. PC scoffs at her & says "Windows 7 was YOUR idea. HA! It's YOUR fault!"; Mac was ever to patient/helpful/informative that she decides to switch to a Mac.

Unfortunately, Apple has can't capitalize on any 'Windows 7 woes', esp when Snow Leopard is less stable.

well, the main point is the fact that Mac works. It just works all the time and doesn't freeze up like Windows. I don't know about you, but I like having a computer that actually works all the time especially if working with heavy processing like audio and video. Windows just doesn't cut it

but a Mac CAN! crash too, and if that happens, it is even worse than with Windows.

With windows, you get a blue screen, which tells you what is wrong.

you fix that, and it is ok.

but on a Mac, it is not.

you have to send i back to Apple.

a Mac also CAN! get virusses, and if that happens, it is also worse than with Windows, cause there are many good Anti-Virus programs for Windows.

Take note, Mac's marketing strategy is to repeatedly take cheap shots at Microsoft and PC to sell their overpriced products. I've used Windows 95/98/2000/XP and now 7 and they are all great OS. I've used Macs and I hate them.

Have to give Microsoft credit, they fixed all the bugs that Vista had and finally got it right this time.. It's faster and doesn't require so much system requirements like Vista. So GO MICROSOFT!

The Mac OS is boring and Windows is the only way to go. They tried to hold down Windows 7 with these commercials, but the word is out, people are switching to 7 like lightning, and there is no trying to prove that Macs are better anymore. They had a small foothold, but Microsoft is completely on the way back up. Microsoft = A+

I don't get your argument because whatever you paid for your mac, you can get a similar/better windows based computer for much less. Due to this, the only reason you would want to buy a mac is because of appearance (Very subjective) or the Operating system. However, your argument "that macs can do what pcs do plus so much more" is completely false considering how there are more programs and hardware which is only compatible with windows. Also for gaming, Windows have the market to themselves.

@kedstar99 yes gaming windows takes that hands down...but for gaming I have a ps3 and for work I have a computer...I'd rather buy a mac because it comes with everything already...no need to run out and buy software...everything that I need is already there...plus if I ever need windows which is very rarely I just boot windows on the mac....everything on the mac is just simple and that's what I love about it

I was a Mac fanboy... and I discovered after buying a Macbook Pro, that I needed to run out and buy MS Office 2008 for Mac, because Pages/Numbers just doesn't cut it.

And then I got an OS X malware which corrupted my Mac kernel, and screwed my hard drive/partition up so that it can't mount, hence can't even reinstall Snow Leopard on it.

My Mac is now just an expensive PC, running Windows 7 because it is more stable and has AV software that actually works, from Win's history with malware.

Well you can just run Windows through bootcamp so you get all the features of Windows if you ever need to use them. I don't really see you been able to run OSX on a Windows machine without going hackintosh and thats 1. infringement of their EULA and 2. Quite fussy to set up compared to bootcamp

Solution: Use a flashed BIOS or Boot132 to install a retail copy of Snow Leopard onto a PC, along with Chameleon bootloader.

And then slap an Apple/Mac sticker that came with a Mac or iPod onto the PC so that it's now Apple branded.

Done.

I don't know if it was one or two viruses my Mac caught, but my kernel was rewritten and couldn't do much else but kernel panic. And when I tried to reinstall SL, all my partitions showed as unmounted so I was unable to. By accident, I discovered that DISKPART->clean in Windows via an external drive wipes the drive and allows me to use again.

Mac's marketing is brilliant... convincing coffee shop 20-somethings to pay $1,000 more for the SAME computer as a PC so they can write their 'scripts' on the latest Macbook Pro.

People, they have the SAME parts; same chips (now that they went to Intel), same GFX cards, etc. The only difference is the OS.

Macs are great, don't get me wrong, but people are lazy and don't know how to build the EXACT same computer. They preach non-conformity while making people conform to their brand.

Kai, but that's kinda the thing... a little knowledge goes a long way with a PC. Knowing that you would want to use Firefox over Explorer for safety is the first thing. And of course having the proper firewalls and ant-virus installed.

The thing is, I find it ironic that Mac would be saying how 'unstable' a PC is while their current OS is a total mess, with GAPING security holes from the previous editions that were supposed that have been fixed.

Mac users tend to be more computer illiterate.

i agree a lot of mac users arent the most tech savvy kind of people because its simple to use and they dont have to be but my friend bought one and in comparison my own machine wich is by no means a bad machine is just balls stood next to his mac being a guitarist and a singer i also want optimul editing platforms to work from and windows while sufficiently stable just isnt as fast or reliable when compared to the speed of a 8 core mac wih 64 bit os SORRY
